A flaming spirit of some kind has emerged in rumors around Thanalan late at night. A bounty of fifty Thousand Gil has been placed on the spirit's capture before it spreads more harm... What will you do if you encounter this mysterious Spark!? It is rumored to be in the plains at night and too hot to approach. Be careful you don't burn yourselves... (This even is a Discord and Ingame event.) (Discord rules: The Discord event is a one off or even multiple encounter of the spark that happens during nighttime in Thanalan. Those seeking to do a quick event are free to add me on Discord Parth Makeo#2401. these are relegated to brief encounters and possible chance to chase after the spark. If you have encountered the spark, feel free to post an IC eye witness here http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=18681&pid=284524 ) (Ingame: Up to four or so players are able to participate in a chance to capture the spark. /Random is determined and location will change. Best way to contact ingame is through Discord beforehand or on either Alyx Quintessence, P'rita Kali, P'rth Makeo, Igni Quintessence or Arala Makeo. Whichever group manages to capture the spark will be able to split the 50,000 Gil among themselves. BUT! 1: You are not allowed to do repeated attacks 2: The best time to find the spark is on Saturday 3: If your group fails, it just escapes. 4: You must get information before you can try and trap it! Feel free to ask questions)

Strange Sighting in Thanalan! (Hoax!?)
Parth Makeo replied to Parth Makeo's topic in Tonberry's Lantern (IC)
BREAKING REPORT! The spark had just blazed over Black Brush Station and headed to Cutter's Cry. Scorched ants liter the entrance and faint signs of glass forming in the trail it left behind. The Flames have finally issued a bounty. "Fifty Thousand Gil to whomever can capture this Lost Spark of Ifrit and bring it to the Immortal Flames office!" It does look like a big problem! Meanwhile a group of peace keepers are rallying to defend this spark from hostile attackers and poachers! People believe this to be a spirit that means no harm. You decide! -
Strange Sighting in Thanalan! (Hoax!?)
Parth Makeo replied to Parth Makeo's topic in Tonberry's Lantern (IC)
Recent sightings of this beast seem to occur at night only and in areas less populated by people. Many have been trying to get a better look but the intensity of the fire building from the Spark of Ifrit have proven to be useless. As if warding others away. So far, casualties have been only to wildlife but if it keeps up, the Flames will be dispatched to take care of the matter if it gets out of control. Thankfully and shockingly, the fire that would burn everything doesn't seem to burn plant life or fauna. Closer investigation in the morning have concluded that the charred animals the Spark runs into have chunks of flesh taken out. Perhaps...it hungers? We will continue updating and gathering what we can on our findings. The Spark of Ifrit seems to be harmless to Hyur and the like but animals may not be safe. Chocobos might be targeted but no proof of any charred Chocobos. Only some reporting the Chocobos they own being riled and spooked from their slumber by the blazing spark. A reward will be placed once the final price has been decided...As the flames would rather contain the creature first. -
*The paper had some kind of weird...article* Late last night, a strange occurrence appeared in the Eastern Thanalan region. A ball of flame as some reports claim to be darting around the region. Though it has not burned anything, some reports claim it has killed a few wildlife animals. A new monster or elemental beast? You decide! A reader of ours provided a picture of what he believes to be the creature in question. "I was just walking on my midnight stroll when this ball o' flame just ran past me! I tried to get a good shot but the damned thing was faster than a Cactuar on fire! I-in fact i think it was a cactuar on fire! Anyways, the thing stopped for a moment and i finally caught this....then it bolted off and turned a Nannygoat into charcoal!" The photographer has decided to remain anonymous for his own safety. If anymore reports of this sighting is seen, contact either your local Brass Blades or The Immortal Flames if necessary. For now the public that know about this decided to dub it: "Ifrit's Lost Spark"

And this is a problem I hardly see in final fantasy (maybe because I too try to be original but not that hard) If people want to play archetypes or be unoriginal then to me that's more dedication. As a writer, there are many ways you can write the 'heroic, soft spoken' Jedi knight in universe. Maybe his origin is nothing special but an approachable slate is better to rp with than someone who has carved in it. If people have an issue with you playing the archetypes then they need to relearn what makes a character. Boring characters even have fun moments. Even if a story seems rehashed or done before, the contents are what make it. Anyone can write Mario saving the princess but look how many times its happened, and one time, Bowser joins you in your quest with peach! I've joked before about this but if I ever see someone playing a character named Average Joe and he was just that in RP, i would love that person forever.

Japanese Dramas are interesting. Though mind changing the headline to Father of Light? Daddy of Light sounds sexual :3c

I have to type out Alyx. I do plan to add more when i get back to a legit computer... Duty Finder: Trial of the Quintessence The boss: Alyx Quintessence, Gaia Quintessence, Igni Quintessence, Forta Quintessence and Wati Quintessence. Bio: After giving the sisters practice one on one, Alyx has declared a challenge. To fight her sisters all at once. However, she did allow you to gather many fighters like yourself to attend this battle. On top of her personal tower. The fight itself will not be simple like practice. for they will be bringing out their full strength in this fight. Do not falter and show your might as a team against her own! Location: On top of the Quintessence Tower in Corethas. The fight itself Phase one: The four elemental sisters. I6HS5lOekS0 Tanks must pick up Igni and Wati, Forta is untankable and Gaia is a healer. Wati does a cone aoe damage attacks and Igni is single target with having to swap between them to counter their Debuffs. At 50% of their individual HP bars, they will cast a special skill. Wati: Tidal Slam= Deals Water damage and knocks down players for five seconds. Forta: Wind Barrage=Boosts her attack speed and damage Gaia: Earthen Barricade= Reduces damage done to all her other sisters for the remainder of the fight Igni: Flare Blitz= Starts tossing straight line AOE strikes at random positions. They can all be defeated seperately. Easiest strat: Igni first, Forta, Wati then Gaia. Gaia's heals can be interrupted with ease. Phase two starts when all four sisters are defeated. They then rest on an alcove in the distance and Alyx joins the fight. BWl5vg3y3-U Alyx MUST NOT BE TANKED ON THE EDGES! Keep her in the center. On occasion she will summon six aether bombs, one of each element. All players aside the tanks will get a corresponding color marker. Match the color with the bombs to suppress the AOE damage to minimal single target damage. If someone hits the wrong color, it will blow the bomb prematurally and give Durability damage increase to all players. Alyx will also lob Lava bolts for AOE strikes to other range targets while the tank deals with her basic Ruin Three Spell. Tank swap happens after she does saber slash. The tank takes more magic damage depending how many stacks. At 50%, Alyx will then start summoning Obelisks that radiate eletricity. DO NOT STAND NEAR THEM! Avoid them and they will eventually fade. Once she reaches defeat, the fight ends.... EX mode has a third phase. Loot rewards are weapons with at least two elemental fusions in them reflecting your role complete with glow effect and rare chance at Mini Quintessence Minions (randomly chosen) well now... i got work so CHECK BACK on it later!

Stormblood may change the entire paradigm of RP
Parth Makeo replied to Seriphyn's topic in RP Discussion
honestly with the inclusion of the future Skip potion, i don't see an issue. Othard Housing is honestly something i didn't expect but will adore. Considering P'rth and P'rita both hail from the region, P'rth will be reduced to a wimpering old man of the goold ol days of his Raen like father figure master and P'rita will be crying and sobbing on the streets mumbling "I'm home...I'm Home...I'm home." -
Considering I have a mild/side character that is cursed in some way, I can share some advice. 1. You could say that yes she was healed of her injuries but her body is so sensitive that touching the previous wounds may make Hikari feel that sort of pain again. And i don't mean like ow pain i mean like 'Holy crap he can somehow feel my muscle tissue despite no wound there!' sensitive. Giving her more reason to avoid being touched. 2. Another twist on the curse is that the old woman who resurrected her did it for other reasons unknown thus far but once fulfill could end up killing Hikari as the curse is what keeps her alive! also P.S: You said old woman huh? Maybe you should get in contact with me since I had an old woman per-say who did curses too. I mean it. We should get in touch and try to interconnect it :3 Now as for the person I am playing that is cursed. He was changed into a Carbuncle. His aetherial structure was reformed to the shape but he became more physical after pleading with a woman to spare him from the Green Death that was approaching. He had been tied to a tome that kept him in a state of Immortality that lasted from the fifth Era till now. Currently he is no longer bound to the tome, meaning he ages normally but is still in a Carbuncle form with the rare chance to achieve his normal self...so he might also join in on this? I mean it, contact me in PM or ingame if I am on my characters and we can get things sorted out. Even my Discord

It's way cheaper in the sense of one Job+MSQ skip...but if you add up ALL the possible jobs with the potions, it can equate to far more than wow's level boost. But again if you are not really going for endgame, one level and one MSQ is still cheaper than $60 if you want to enjoy content on an alt. -
I'm trying once more to try and get this character active. I am looking for a Male Character for my character, Arala Makeo. Race is not restricted but a few notes. (since i am remaking my Wiki of her it is inaccurate atm) Arala is a Miqo'te of half seeker and keeper decent. Arala is a city born, so she is not familiar with The Shroud traditions. Arala is considered a Second Class Citizen, so if your character is a noble or Rich you may want to be aware of her status. Arala is a Paladin of the Immortal Flames. Arala has a child of 12 (Don't ask...just please don't...) and her husband left her as dead weight. Warning: Not looking to join any harem at all and it's a one person only rule. You can easily contact me on the forum in PMs or in this thread. I'd share more with you but it's better to do a trial and error of this character with others to see what sticks. Some footnotes first: 1. This is not guaranteed. So your character has to put some effort into this if they truly want her. 2. Tuse/Thurs/Sun are bad days for me to get on Final Fantasy, so i recommend contacting through here or Discord 3. This WILL take time. Don't expect to find love right then and now or get into them. The more you talk, ask and learn about her the easier it may get. Please contact here or even on my discord 'Parth Makeo' You are also free to friend me whenever I am on if you wish.

discussion Your thoughts on jump potions?
Parth Makeo replied to Parth Makeo's topic in FFXIV Discussion
While powerleveling has been around since Ye old days of Ultima Online (not sure if Neverwinter ever had such a deal) and it was Illegal, it was considered ungamer like to even powerlevel and let someone else play the game for you while you do nothing and get a powerful player without skill or effort. Nowadays? People REALLY do not have the time with the amount of games coming out and life. Even the old generation of MMO players are slowly starting to realize how much time they waste just leveling alone for content no one plays anymore. Even before Blizzard did their level booster in MOP, there were items introduced to help speed up leveling from level 1 to 80 called Heirlooms (They now go to level 100 and cost only ingame gold to purchase say for rings) that had certain slots that gave a boost to experience. Before the Guild 10% bonus, Helmet/Shoulders/Cape/Chest/Legs together is 45% experience increase. If you are lucky and get the rings (one from fishing derby and other from some WOD quest) that's an additional 10% together. All together with guild you can blaze through leveling at 65% experience increase! So the next natural step after Heirlooms was to add instant level boost for the price of a AAA game. Don't want to spend a few hours 2-4 days? Drop $60 and beat the leveling gap! But in Final Fantasy, there isn't really an option say for two specific items that quickly become obsolete not even halfway through leveling. The Recruit a friend feather is 25% experience...up to level 25. And the ring you get from doing the novice hall grants you 30% increase up to level 30...and by then you are probably already level 20 when you get it or bother to get it. They help for leveling alts yes...but the bonus they offer should of been made longer lasting. Up to level 50 (60 for stormblood) would be WAY more helpful and provide an alternative to buying the supposed level boosts for those stripped of cash but still WANT to level with their short time schedules. But again it's their game and they have to keep people playing somehow, so grinding it is! Edit: I forgot to say...if we were to add all the levels of your character together. there are 10 that start at level 1 and three at 30. If you want to be all classes, you would have to grind out over 690 levels in total! Sounds a lot, and while it is the first 25 or so levels are given to you... so...its more like 390 or so. Still a hefty amount to grind if you play other games -
if it's weird to play an intended race then everyone is basically weird at this point. It would be weird though if you wanted to RP as a Miqo'te but instead of cat features, you had fox features. THEN that would be weird

DISCLAIMER!!! The discussion here is not to hate/bash/criticize one particular game or mmo! DO NOT use this as a means to spread hate! Lately I've been seeing something strange in not just myself but other friends when it comes to MMO games. Some of them (like me) enjoy playing more than one MMO even if they are Sub games. But as of late, it's becoming far too stagnate and 'stale'. Friends I've talked to either play the following games... Final Fantasy 14 World of Warcraft Elder Scrolls Online (Since the update happened) and...well that's really it. I've been thinking about this since Pangya closed down for good. (Why! It was a good game! D: ) IS THE MMO MARKET AT A STANDSTILL? From a business point of view, it's way more risky to make an MMO of a video game considering the humongous cost, development time and active updates that have to be added along with server upkeep and to ensure there is a steady income to break the minimum of what you spent on an MMO. So many Pay model MMOs have failed in our time.... Age of Conan Star Wars The Old Republic Black Desert Wildstar (New IP didn't help it either) And that's to name a few. Even Final Fantasy 14 back when it was 1.0 didn't fair well with critics at launch and they took a big risk no company ever did for an MMO, which was remake the game. It worked, yes but i doubt something of that caliber could be done again. So right now our MMO selection my be vast but a lot of them are either Copy Paste of the same game style or even the same game (Looking at Aura Kingdom and the 4 other copies...) and some game that never even make it out of beta (*COUGHWARFRAMECOUGH*) I want to know what you all think? Is the MMO market at a standstill until the next big amazing game? Do you think we will ever get another big hit like Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn? What do you think would need to happen if we are to get another hit? Share your thoughts and voice your concerns :3 - Parth Makeo

A lot of the positive parts of Roleplaying is that people use their imagination, and there is never anything wrong with using a different model to adjust say height or race. There shouldn't be an issue. I do have a mild nit pick with people who decide to say they are a different gender of their model (like female but said they are male) Aside though it really should be creative if you do that. I personally think the models are just enough for RPing with the sliders that at times it feels right, but i understand if people want them to be a foot bigger or smaller. I should actually get heights for my characters.

discussion Your thoughts on jump potions?
Parth Makeo replied to Parth Makeo's topic in FFXIV Discussion
To try and help clarify with anyone planning to post about this in the thread but don't want to read everything thus far: There has been talk and mention of the Devs wanting to bring the chinese exclusive 'Jump Potions' over to the other regions. Reasons for this are justified but some of it can be detrimental to a community. The Jump potions are as follow: Jump potion [Job]: The job that is picked is leveled up to 50 (60 in Stormblood) with roughly entry level armor for content of the new expansion and some pocket change (like 2-3k Gil which is not even enough to explot), meaning you will need to buy one of each class to gain all levels (Aside from Red Mage and whatever else is added in Stormblood) However you do not skip over the MSQ unless you buy the other available potion- MSQ Skip: The Main Story Skip potion will skip the character past through all the Main Story Quest content up to 2.45 (or in Stormblood 3.45), unlocking all that would be unlocked through the quest line like dungeons or features. It DOES NOT give you levels. It compensates with some Gil (No exact amount but guessing maybe 100k?) that you would of obtained through the quest line. This is SEPARATE from the leveling potions. --- F.A.Q Q: Why are they adding this? A: As of this post it may not happen but our guess is because of how the MMO market changed overtime, not many players are willing to level up alt classes like ye old MMO days. Blame the market or the new generation of gamers but leveling is a chore a lot of the time. Q: What's the point? A: Some players may not have as much freetime as others and will either become fustrated when a friend of theirs managed to level up ten times faster or obtained all endgame gear while they are still level 54 and going through Heavensward content. Thus making them drop out and thus loosing players. As for the individual level potions? Stated above, some players don't have time to just grind out the levels and wish to just enjoy current content at entry rather than sit through hours of ques and running around. Q: "Oh Great, more bad players..." A: If this is your attitude to obtaining more players then I both get you but also feel bad. While it is inevitable that there are players who still don't know how to PLD or SCH right, they are still having fun and it's a game. In today's world, a lot of how to play instructions are everywhere if they look. And if they don't that is where YOU come in! That mentor crown you got is a flag saying you are willing to help them learn about the game. some players will be open to learning, others will be rude and want to play how they want. It's life and it happens. Q: OMFG NUUU! FF14 EEZ DEDZ! A: Crying about people skipping levels to enjoy the relevant content is just a shame. Yes, it is sad that players could just skip all the pre-required content we all may of sat through, waiting for those months of new patches and turns but they are not getting any power nor are they getting free top end raid gear with fully maxxed relic weapon. They are merely buying another means to get STARTED. Keyword being STARTED as in they still have to do the grind of whatever is relevant at the time. And if they don't then they will lag behind. Q: You shouldn't pay for the MSQ skip. Have it be an option A: I agree. It's stupid If i miss any common complaints/general questions please message. My post is not meant to be malicious, just trying to clear the air a bit for those now reading. -

I'm a bit late and everyone already told you the best advice so here is a story: I started re-playing ARR during 2.2 (I think) and decided to move my character to an RP server. Initially i was scared because Arala Makeo was not 'miqo'te' of a name...but then... One person changed not only my RP life but my character. Over something as simple as stew. From this interaction, i got to know more people and more players, attending events and private ones. I got to meet more people randomly, got invited to more events as time went on. But i didn't mention that i put actual effort to get noticed or open RP. I accepted anyone who approached me. Whispers and all. the story that i wrote and events i played out for not only this character but a second i was making (Alyx Quintessence) was possible because of those who were involved. I actively reached out, talked to them, made plans, put together smaller events, got everyone involved, even let a few people have those glorious RP moments over mine. I didn't suit their needs, nor did they. I merely put effort into the work I was doing. And all that time i kept my head high enough to never look too negatively at my character. That said- The RP connections are out there, you just have to look and ask. If you want to RP with certain people, that is what the connections forum thread is for. Outsource to other places. PM and whisper players both ingame and forums. BE ACTIVE! (Ironic considering i'm less active atm ) Also here's something i hope will life your spirits. KxGRhd_iWuE

With Stormblood coming about and a new region, I thought about this with a few others and even if we had tournaments before...This will be different. I am looking for some aid to help with working a 16 person bi-weekly tournament with some altered rules to make things exciting. Of course this is still in development and those willing to help have the chance to put their input onto it all. First, some basics. Keep in mind everything is subject to change. Name/theme: Ala Mhigo Resistance Fighting ring. The Story for this: 'To give support to the Resistance, keep them in top condition but also raise morale and spirits, a light tournament is put in place every other few cycles to give the people hope and prepare them for the future. As such, sixteen combatants will fight with their own strength and spectators are welcome to watch, make bets, drink, merry, cheer or jeer their picks on!' Rules (IC): 1: No weapons, Magic or armor. Straight up fists versus fists. Special techniques and strikes are allowed. 2. ABSOLUTELY NO DEATH BLOWS! You should not be killing your brother or sister. We are here to have fun and raise a morale to drive the Garleans back. While also training ourselves and the people of the land. 3: Respect your combatant and good sportsmanship. No cheap blows or use of illegal materials. 4: Fights will be fought one at a time to keep things focused and centralized. We ask that combatants waiting be patient and if possible, mingle with the other fighters or watch. When you are called to the front, please arrive. If five minutes pass, you are considered forfeit and we will move on. Rules (OOC): 1. Grindstone rules: 3 hit limit and ingame random generation. 2. The first six bouts will have a 'Last Stand' option. Last Stand is 100% OPTIONAL rule that allows people who have had horrible luck in their fight to mulligan their opponents would be knockout. This only is available if the end score is 3/0 and the person who would lose confirms with the 'Overseer' that they wish to use it or not. Only one per match. Win or lose it is to at least make sure one person is not terribly beaten into the ground due to RNG. Fight 7 and onward will not have this rule to make things end. Do know that this Last Stand does not guaranteed you a win or a hit. You will only revert a possible 3/0 to a 2/0 and continue 3. We ask that combatants will get healed up, allowing the healer(s) we have on hand to enjoy some RP as well. ---More will be added--- So far the positions we have are as followed... Overseer Council: 1. Arala Makeo 2. 3. Healers: 1. 2. If you like to be apart of the groups here, please post with character information and job. I may increase depending how far we get during xpac but for now, we will have these slots. I highly encourage IC Pugilists or Monks even (Ala Mhigo's too!) to take the Overseer spots for authenticity of their moves and possible commentary. Oh did i mention that the council position is a collective and not one person manning it? Yep. Anyone who wishes to help can help. Be it advertising, snacks and drinks during the event or just plain make witty banter. ---signup--- We start signups the saturday before the event. Meaning you got a whole week to register. And yes there are limited slots so early is better if you can. However, we will deny repeated visits only if we get more than sixteen to encourage new blood and RPers here and there. So try to not sign up all the time if we start getting more than sixteen. Winners of these tournaments are encouraged to sign up again only because it gives IC reason for some to 'train' with that character. Hearing he is great at this. --- Location: Sadly...because of the theme of the expansion, we are going to locate this tournament in the new zone...which means no low levels can attend. I thought about doing it near Little Ala but it didn't feel right when the story is directing us to Ala Mhigo. It also makes IC sense considering what the purpose of this fighting tournament is. To raise morale and spirits, get people in the fighting spirit and train not just locals but each other. So yes while i am sad to lock out about half or more of the RP circle, this is an opportune time to start. ---- We know there will be some rough starts to this and hopefully support will be there. Please keep looking out for updates. I will be making a Google Document of this soon. If this interests you at all, i would love to see support for this and make it a thing after the mass craze of leveling and gearing up as subsided. And spread word Ingame as well to redirect here. If they cannot contact on the forums, my characters I may be on are as followed... FF14 characters: Arala Makeo, P'rita Kali, Alyx Quintessence. Discord: Parth Makeo Skype: parthmakeo or if you need another contact, message me. I will not do my email. Thank you and let's get this resistance started!

http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=17831&pid=293283#pid293283 JUMP POTION INFO FINALIZED! ALTERNATIVE TO JUMP POTION IS REVEALED: http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=17831&pid=290493#pid290493 Halfway marker: http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=17831&pid=278554#pid278554 Read that for info So I've noticed a lot of (justified) hate over the idea of jump potions for all regions. The idea of buying levels to skip the mundane and dare I say...most boring part of Final Fantasy. I for one will most likely buy them. I want to hear from the more active users about this idea. Do you embrace it? Ignore it? Quit the game over it? Feel cheated for hours put into grinding? Middle of the road? I'm sure some of you have some words. Update 1: So far the replies are indeed in some agreement or middle ground. I am so glad this community is really calm and thoughtful about all possibilities :3 And if we somehow get more information from the Fanfest in Japan about this, do feel free to mention it. Update 2: So a few points being brought up in this thread are as followed...and my opinions on these for once. - Not everyone reads/watches Dialogue/Cinematics and some just want to get to endgame. This is true. My first time leveling through 2.0 back when it first launch was all about reading and watching the text...and then the patch content came and by 2.2 I was skipping all the filler cinematics and saying 'LET ME FIGHT LEVIATHAN ALREADY GODDAMMIT!' which is kind of bad. In today's internet, information about the story is widely digestible in smaller formats for any RPer looking to get into it and frankly, not everyone can remember every little detail without some googling. So the ease of technology is partial to blame (Even now the Lorebook doesn't seem like a good purchase with people sharing images online...unless you are like me and most RPers who want a physical thing to read offline) - Jump Potions would bring more bad than good. The Jump potions atm in China get players to level 50 which is 10 levels below the current cap and skips over all but Heavensward xpac content. With seeing how the level 90/100 boost worked in world of warcraft, i can say it will only do harm if it came out about a few months before the next xpac and the boost got people to level 60 and skipped ALL of the Heavensward storyquests for them. That is a crime and shame when there is time to do it. So it will bring more people in to play (even if frustrations will arise of occasional 'WTF DO I DO' people.) and read guides. Fun fact too, one of my current mythic raiders in wow started in Warlords...as a boosted character. He's a damn good hunter asking questions and getting a rotation down. It's a rare sight but those players DO exist. - Skipping levels kills the experience/charm/story of the MMO. And not being able to play with your friends can make or break your MMO experience. Face it. Leveling is an outdated model the moment expansions are introduced to a video game. Vanilla wow for instance had 60 levels and two large zones at release. By Burning Crusade...those zones were EMPTY (say for occasional rep grinders if bored or gathering those mats for vanilla potions and such) and everyone was in Shattarath more than anything. As expansions continue, those zones become outdated and left barren. Yes, I am in the boat that your first time through you SHOULD level through the content from scratch on a toon...but in FF14's case as others pointed out, you have to wallow through hours of meaningless filler from 2.0 era that had to tie you over until the next big patch that introduced maybe another turn of Coils, another level of Crystal tower and 2-3 new dungeons. Solutions are introduced and the Khole book was a good solution (even if i see it as a lotto ticket ) but it will never fix the problem of that initial start. I know i said i wouldn't put my opinions but I felt like breaking it for you guys. After all, I'm the other mmo player with RP in FF14. So i have felt a lot of that initial bad wave back in Mists of Pandaria. Thank you for the continuation of opinions and sharing your thoughts to your fellow FF14 players and RPers. I love how Civil you guys are
-
I am starting to think the abundance of Events (even those not on forums) could be the reason for said lack of RP. I have three active RP characters that are involved with three different RP circles myself (with one group strangely connected by an event I have yet to join ) And for new people it may not be that they can't find RP because others are currently RPing their own plots, their company story, or too busy running the company events. Honestly it does feel oversaturated to the point that I stopped going to the grindstone purely because of how MASSIVE it's gotten in recent years. I truly missed the old average of like 40 or 30 people. So I think the idea of "no one can find RP because there is too much" is a thing as well. Some people are looking for certain kinds of RP and it pains me to turn down people when a position is filled...

this position has been filled but who knows if it will stay? :3 -
Arala in her drunk state gets HORNY...I am not sugar coating that. P'rita shows her true colors when she gets drunk state but she is a heavy drinker. It will take a few bottles to reach that...even then good luck getting her drunk. Alyx is the more interesting one. At face value, Alyx cannot be affected by Alcohol period. She is immune to it and cannot truly taste it...but if you throw in some Ether then things get good. She has three stages. Stage one: Alyx slowly succumbs to the alcohol as she then criticizes anyone at the table, even her sisters and friends...and Maybe gets a bit grabby. Stage two: Alyx either breaks down in a crying fit or laughs like a complete idiot, acting foolish. But good lord....Stage Three is the worse. Stage Three: she has fully taken in the alcohol and is now smashed. She will either... Cast magic at random for small pranks. Strip from feeling "hot" even when it's blistering cold out. Or she will recite lines from her favorite book, even going into "play mode" and act it out. Thankfully she can't vomit.

Role-playing takes time and a lot of effort. I always feel like I'm just repeating what everyone has mentioned but it's true. Good story and characters take time to build. I saw your FC but as a person who plays an honorable free paladin, I felt as if it was missing something. Perhaps you can include Light PVE elements for group content like dungeons. I know the FC companies my characters joined do some scheduled content that is live in game. Whether it be savage Alexander runs or just some old primal grinds. Offer to balmung some kind of other reason to join aside just RP. Give a chance to play in a completely ooc enviorment so they all can get to know you. At least that is my two cents.

I'm looking for a potential romance for Arala and her child. This shouldn't happen immediately and should take a while to get into. My character is looking for a male (bonus points of Miqo'te or even Roe) that will be more than focused on her or anything and is comfortable with the idea of a child npc (roughly 10) sometimes around. Her old husband died sometime ago and now she feels something missing. That romance she once loved is gone and is more painful when her daughter is actively trying to push her onto others at times. Her name is Arala Makeo in full and i suggest sending a whisper for a lot more information and questions. We can set up interaction time then and there but no on the following days. (Tuse/Thurs/Sun) and my timezone is EST. Yet i am able to be up fairly late for certain timezones. Other characters to whisper... Alyx Quintessence P'rita Kali or send a message in the forum to this account. please and thank you.
