Granted, you just pointed to Gilgamesh (I'd have pointed to Firion, actually - he seems to fit more that argument than a character designed to be goofy) who, well, is Gilgamesh. It also helps that back then you had to bring that design down to handful of pixels. Which simplified it enough that they were certainly improved. It feels like they're too simple in design and too similar because they wanted to release that line of clothing IRL.

I have exactly as much faith in the devs that I do in the devs of any other MMO. Which is to say, when faced with this problem, they just straight out ignored it and didn't even give us a handwave. Dysmorphism complaints aside, I am down with the Au Ra.

I personally like it when they add a new race because it gives more options to the player. Someone who didn't care for the five races now has an extra choice to see if they'd care more for that instead. However, as mentioned by others, the sexual dismorphism is so freaking bad that I'm tempted not to roll one out of spite. IF I do, it'll be because it's overplayed in that screenshot and we can make 'em as beefy as the males. Worst part is, if I do roll one... it'll be a dude most likely.

Let's see : * Bard macro'd their silence and DID. NOT. STOP. spamming party chat with a sound effect. * Other tank could not spike bosses in threat, leading to bosses just trying to kill everyone else in the raid. I tried to salvage Amon only to find that the self-appointed MT decided that there was NO WAY he was gonna be relegated to MT for one little fucking fight that he completely ignored Kum Kums in order to threat race me, a race he eventually won because quite frankly I suck at threat races because THEY SHOULDN'T HAPPEN IN THE FIRST FUCKING PLACE (hell if you need to tank swap there's things for that). * Alliance kept blaming the tanks (rightfully so on the first pull, wrongfully so on the others) for the bosses moving around so much at the beginning of the fight.
