During SYRCUSMANIA I picked up a LOT of tiny tricks about ST. Y'know, when I nearly well goddamned lost my mind running Syrcus. Here's a hint folks, 30 Syrcus runs in a week is not healthy, much less when you do 15 in one day. If you were irritable, you become even more so. It has a nasty effect on your relationships with others, and obviously, it cuts back on RP. Friends don't let friends Duty Finder Syrcus 15 times in a day.

In his view it's beautiful and if people truly love each other (on a metric known only to him), he thinks it's the greatest thing ever when they're together through the greatest and the littlest of trials. There's not much he won't do for the sake of two people in love. Whenever it comes to him though, he always avoids the question. Truth is, Kellach's still a kid at heart. Maybe he'll find someone, maybe he won't, but he'd have to find someone that accepts him for who he is, even if that seems to change quite often depending on the day. Eccentric would be the polite way to put it. So far, he's found maybe one person that truly accepts him, but that person is quite very much in love with someone else, and he respects that a lot. For those of you who saw him in the Quicksand last night when he actually had an axe, that was due to needing to fetch another man's love without a third party getting involved. This was the only way he found that could disgust the other man enough to not seek why he needed the other one for his mission. He also pointed and flexed a lot. Anyone involved found it extremely confusing, and that's Kellach at his tamest.

AV is notoriously annoying with adds. Some stuff pulls when you're trying not to walk through the gold puddle and it aggros without you even trying to. See last AV run I had, where I accidentally wiped the group 2 times in the room. Putting myself on blast for that one. Also, IIRC BLMs can LB through the shields on Glasya Labolas since it's a ground targeted and not a direct spell. Game doesn't reflect those proper. Had a run where we did that, it was glorious.

Is it overly harsh though? Also, I have soldiery bonus across the majority of coil. I'll probably have that until forever.

If you only rely on data then you're cut off from the human element. Feedback has to be taken into consideration because data doesn't have emotions, and more importantly it can't be considered prior to the fact. Otherwise, why bother to seek out feedback for anything, really? Just put it out there! If it's not popular it sucks, right!? Data can tell you how much, but it can't tell you why. That's why feedback's there. Also, it's still not a nitpick regardless of what you think. I'd understand if the Au Ra were given to everyone regardless of whether they get the xpac or not but that's obviously not the case here. It's expansion content. I mean, they're also putting in expanded Ishgard, and quite frankly the last thing I needed is more Ishgard. Still gotta pay 40$+ for it if I want the rest tho.

Not the problem. I have a problem with this mentality that since, y'know, some of us don't like the new race we're unappreciative. We're consumers. We're not always right, but we do have a right to say "this is not what I wanted." Even if 90% of people want it or something so they can pretty much ignore it. Thing is, if they don't know that some consumers don't like the new race they certainly won't take that into consideration (which doesn't mean caving in) when designing a possible 7th one.

All I know is that from the little interaction I've had with this forum I do not want to run anything with anyone from the RPC I haven't previously had interactions with. I don't need someone bitching at me about my iLevel and going too slow.

I don't get where "given to us" comes from though. This is content part of an expansion that is SOLD to us. You can like it, you can not like it, but this ain't a gift.

I don't speedrun dungeons unless the party requests it. Obviously that means I am the worst tank ever. IIRC you craft an i90 version of it (it may look different, I dunno). Reagents are a pain to get (3-star craft ingredient + Kingly Whisker (not hard) + Battlecraft III (somewhat difficult) + 2 DEMIMOG DEMIMATERIA) though.

I think this is where we're not seeing the same thing. I would have liked it if that contrast you're highlighting was more marked. Maybe I'd be less inclined to notice the height difference if they had similar horns, or at least horns that were more beastly, or scales that were more prominent. More I think about it, more I think the concept art may have been drawn by two different people. Also, no one is disputing height differences being that large IRL or that it's impossible ever. However, these are the first look that we have at the new race - they are the average of what an Au Ra is. In average, I don't think I've seen that much of a marked difference in height. As I said before, if they're examples of the height slider's possibilities, then I'm probably gonna keep being fine with it. 'cause, y'know, I said I'd roll one (likely a dude, but I've changed my mind before) possibly.

You should pug with me I always have good groups for ST. And by that I mean, with one exception, we always have a Xande kill.

Still think they could have marked that difference... differently than just a massive size difference. To tread old ground I'd say that's almost lazy thought It's pretty much a more extreme interpretation of that very same difference you note : Females are different because they're smaller, have feminine features and breasts. The difference is just more noticed because of the height difference... but it's the same damn thing in the end! Different horn styles, though not necessarily in size, would also have been a good idea. I am also down with a female muscle slider. I mean, they did it for Hyurs, why not the Au Ra?

I just want it to look like they actually are of the same race. I mean, we've got roe/lala height difference between the two. If it's the biggest dude with the smallest gal, then fine pretty much 80% of my complaints are null and void because even if the horns aren't "big enough" on the gals (and even then I'd wager horn slider can make those suckers real big) that's less of a stretch than, well, the height difference to me. All the races except Lala are eyecandy to someone.

Wait what. I've never seen anyone use LB except for damage on Xande. And I think I've run my share of ST to know even if it was only recently.

I'd agree on principle, but so far I don't think they've made a single race I wouldn't play. I'd bend the lore for Miqo most likely, but I'd still roll it if I really wanted to. So, unless they made the Au Ra completely despicable as a race, I'm still down.

Not necessarily. The fact that it looks just like a midlander leads me to believe it's NOT COMPLETE YET. Did we see an in-game model? Or did we only see the concept art. Concept isn't implementation. Saying it's lazy or not is basing ourselves on design decisions so far removed from the consumer that we can't say for sure. Hell, I've seen what lazy design does - it can ruin games. (soooooo many anecdotes on that, most of them I'm unable to tell due to losing my job maybe.) I still don't care for the female design and think it should be more in line (albeit with Yugiri as tiniest version) with the male design though.

Hell if you ask me Miqo's should never have been made. Still RP with 'em tho.
