I don't think, other than MAYBE the Ahriman and even then Ahriman lore is kinda screwy right now, that any mount is lorebreaking. Even Sleipnir isn't legit. Like, if they started offering Cloud's motorbike from VII then yeah, that'd be lorebreaking. Nothing so far. Out of the ordinary, sure but not straight up lorebreaking.

Same reason why in folklore people make deals with the devil, or any other malevolent entity. Especially since the Necrologos has apparently been copied several times, losing none of its power (hence why you see it at almost every leve tier), making it "easy" for even non-magically inclined people to do. Right now, I have Kell ridin' the Ahriman because it looks good on his glamour. It is, however, entirely OOC.

UPDATES All alts deleted. Plan on rerolling Neyra Elra as a better Lalafellin' name, and possibly a third, but beyond that I'm waiting to see if inspiration strikes for another character. I've my hands full trying to make Kell somewhat interesting.

It's not even just that. We're talking about a blast from a Garlemald firearm that is of superior tech to anything that can be manufactured in Eorzea. Likely we're going to see firearms that were 1600-1700 era from the Machinist. Not exactly the most precise, nor the most functional, pieces of equipment in the history of ever.

NUFFINK. I'm partially joking - We don't open our gifts until... Saturday I think since that's when the big family bash happens. But I'll probably get cash because the people who'd give me gifts told me they would have no idea how to shop for anything they think I might want so they'd just rather give me the money. My christmas gift to myself was GGXRD and corrupting my drivers so I would play that instead of FFXIV apparently.

If I make Au Ra they'll be a dragoon. Just because I really need to make the most nigh incomprehensible character ever.

I think the reason they want to concentrate on Ul'dah specifically this time around is to end the storyline as swiftly as possible prior to going to Ishgarde

It wouldn't be that much of a game changer with other nations. NOBODY WANTS THE REFUGEES. Gridania's doing the same thing to its refugees, except it's starving them and letting them die of disease. Limsa's just "welp go elsewhere we got no spots for you because, y'know, we up and went and pissed off the Kobolds since we kinda took over their land betraying our agreement. So, uh, stay and be tempered and die, or leave and maybe live. Oh, and watch out for the Sahagins." Less said about Ishgard the better.

I'll wait until we see Au Ra name convention before making a character. Fantasia can't erase names and it's been a pet-peeve of mine that people who, say, rolled Elezen decided they wanted to be catbutts instead and kept the name.

On the subject of Noctis TK Armory, Zhong Hui, even though he had armor in that silly design, says that flying swords are the best. On the subject of Cidney I honestly didn't check out the trailer, but I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't playable. A Cid being playable (not just joining your party) really only happened in... 4, 7 and... I dunno. Nothing else comes to mind. Wouldn't mind if she was though. I'm not a fan of her outfit, the top and dukes kiiiiiiiiiinda work well but it falls apart at the long ass boots that were clearly designed because gotta have thighs showing for dem thirsty fans. In so far as the practicality of her outfit, I've seen people do worse, so... I'd probably be more up in arms about it if this game wasn't THE THIRSTIEST FF. Like, seriously. This will be the most eyecandy-ish FF ever. Almost as though the designers knew very well what was the reputation for the series at this point and just decided to triple down on it while winking at the audience. I DO, however, LOVE that they made her look like she didn't come out of the salon after just tinkering on their car.

If that's the case, that's far less drastic than the screenshot showed us. Likely we can play with the sliders to adjust that a bit.

Pretty much first thing I'm doing is playing with the character creator to see what is possible to get from both sexes' Au Ra, I think. I had a fairly badass cutie female highlander, and IIRC I made a gothic lolita-like femRoe. Haven't messed with male roe. Next project is remaking Neyra Elra into something good and has a better proper Lala name. But yeah, there will be cute bara, there will be fierce qtpie
