  1. I'll take all your cokes and potashes and farm them with you. Whatever you don't want is likely to be armorer/blacksmith/goldsmiths and those are my desynths because I like hating myself apparently. ^^
  2. Kell? People'd say "obviously crab" because he has a crab pet which he is very defensive about (pls don't talk about eating pinchyshell pls) But no, he is so fucking out there, not from Eorzea and a mixture of so many things that there is only one animal that can properly describe him.
  3. It does fit with my personal headcanon of usage of mudras. Also, you might be using that as a way to explain why you get less tired. More water = Less exertion of your personal aether maybe? I like the idea.
  4. Kell's roguish charms are only level 15 so I wouldn't know (and canonically it is the least likely class he'd grind) but I'm mostly using other media interpretations of ninjutsu/mudras so I'm not too aware of how FFXIV mentions it. But due to how the elements work in FFXIV it'd be hard to find a spot that has absolutely no trace of an element. I know the Ehcatl quest that requires you to mine pure water shards/clusters, IIRC, has the item description for these key items mention that they're quite rare.
  5. Eh, I'm holding out for an actual Geomancer class (with dem BELLS) or RPing Conjurer (If I ever learn anything IC as far as that class goes) as more of that than Ninja.
  6. Hey man better than me - I've only had two people express RP opportunities and that was a long ass time ago. I don't think I've ever had a RP crush, sorry peeps.
  7. I view mudras as the one thing you use when you need to finish a fight quickly, decisively and more importantly where your opponent has no fucking clue what you did to summon lightning and omg why the fuck is that guy able to summon lightning that's just balls (I tell ye). In so far as "why not just RP as the classsssssssss?" mostly because we all like to be special snowflakes and sometimes that's the only thing we got OKAY MOM? Which reminds me I need to scale back my own character's special snowflakeyness. It's starting to grow increasingly bizarre. Then again, considering the mun, it's not exactly that strange.
  8. I did. I just have to wake up early to get told everyone's there so I can leave work at noon.
  9. Well, OBVIOUSLY because they didn't give WAR a gap closer.
  10. Yeh, guess I wanted to try it without food so I could get some CP food instead, but guess I gotta do that first.
  11. I've everything at 50. All my rotations are on point. I've been HQing everything relatively easily so far. Wait so you're saying the requirements are suggestions for the ingots/vanya?
  12. I specified Jewelry/Belt, which are currently top-tier as opposed to i55s which get replaced with Artisan's. Figured I'd start with those melds. Since you've barely any craftsmanship in the jewels/belt, you can't get to the required 347 for the 2-star main ingredient craft without food. I'm sure I wouldn't have any problems but I'd have to buy the Darksteel Ingots/Vanya Silk/etc. to complete the crafts themselves and, to borrow a phrase from PIE|Zeus, "I blow money like I'm Rick Ross" on materia. Although on WVR I'm at 346, so once I meld ONE competence in there I'm gravy for that once.
  13. For future reference, melding everything to max meld in belt/jewelry is not enough to push from 1-star to 2-star, COUNTING THE EHCATL SMITHING GLOVES. So if anyone is wondering why the hell does nobody try their hand at crafting? 'cause they give up FAAAAAR before the Spicy Tomato Relish step. Much less at 4-star.
  14. I'm just saying if we start extrapolating from other FF games (and in the case of warriors, other games entirely!) then we can come to some sort of incredibly stupid conclusions. (Also, Val the Calculator = MATH GENIUS, CAN'T WRITE FOR SHIT <3) My personal opinion : They're in the game, let it rock, dodge/deflect if you must, treat it same as we do OOC - we don't know. Dragoon should know but if they're Ishgardian they're either sworn to secrecy or they themselves don't know. Although... if Kell were to meet a dragoon he might actually want to learn that because of how strange the fact that nobody knows is.
  15. Dude, in FFT the strongest creature in all the land is someone with a Ph.D in Math. Speaking of that, when's Calculator job lol?
  16. Makes a lot more sense now - I was wondering how putting poison on your blades helped you do more damage with your ninjutsu mudras.
  17. It'd make sense that killing a proper dragon would grant you some sort of boon beyond just the material. I'm for that headcanon until actual lore emerges. Also, "First I jump 20 feet in the air." "And?" "Then I just decide to leave because NO WAY AM I FIGHTING BEHEMOTH ALONE ARE YOU CRAZY."
  18. The whole premise of the thread is how dragoons have constant stigma against them, c'mon. Apparently that's not the case for a lot of people out there. I also love how the Inner Beast is brought up as an example when it's about as much of a bullshit handwave as having no explanation whatsoever. In fact, it's outright worse because nobody knows how it works either. It's just you rage hard you tank harder. For serious, if you have problems with dragoons you should have problems with warriors.
  19. i love how the solution to "dragoons don't have handwaves" is to not do shit with 'em until the FFXIV loreteam can bullshit a handwave for us. which will then be ignored because reasons.
  20. If you're actually doing something to avoid it/deflect/etc. then no it wouldn't be I think.
  21. That's assuming they're wearing it though - Granted, any dragoon RPer would chomp at wearing the AF but still. Also, just saying, they get hit by a Jump, they're skewered regardless of how tough their armor is. So anyone not dodging that shit and just no selling it is about as bad as the DRG using Jump against a human, unrestrained opponent. Unless they're gonna start pretending their armor (and their inner organs from the blow) are tougher than dragon scales.
  22. don't care what y'all think. we need more dragoon on dragoon violence to confirm. GOTTA GET MY WUXIA ON.
  23. So, uh... I need a chestpiece that's Armorer Glamour, needs to either be able to be dyed or yellow in origin, shows same amount of skin as the female-only skimpy outfits (and HOPEFULLY isn't the Light Steel Galerus but I'll go to that if needed) and fits well with the Phlegeton Mask and Loincloth. Gon' make Kell PRETTY.
  24. I've had numerous character concepts, but I typically always roll humans as the first thing ever in a game. In so far as why Kell is a Midlander instead of a Highlander? Highlanders aren't pretty enough. After that, I create concepts on other races. If the game wasn't mean to alts I'd play my Lala more.
  25. Not saying I don't give the benefit of the doubt. Just that the benefit runs out FAST. It's something I need to work on, but it doesn't help when you just don't know that many people. If you can fall back on others or other stuff, then the blow stings a whole lot less. I'm also not used to having more than one person I can rely on for shit, and even that is... not something I'm used to. At all. EDIT : For future reference, you can't receive tells in a duty
