I've had so many mistells and mistypes I can't even recall them all. But the most recent was when my friend said, "S-senpai" to another FC mate in FC chat. And in all caps I yelled, "I'M THE SENPAI, BITCH" in a completely unrelated LS. -.-;

Yeahno. Rinh and I were freaking out over Skype over some of those. Especially the little girl having the guy call her from the basement....just no. Fucking no. Done. DONE. Aaaand then the next night "Lili, look at this one!" Sends me a story about a guy with an aspiring murderer for a boyfriend. And I read it. Like a masochist... I didn't get to that one yet, I've been reading them aloud to my fiance since waking him up. We like to share the pain, it's part of our relationship contract (ehehe..) Now he's making popcorn and we're going to do the whole list. We're masochists too I guess ;

It probably sounds obvious/weird/nosy.. but maybe take a screenshot if you can? I really wish I had something else to say about it...I've had some weird things happen in my life, and even though I'm a woman of science, there is still so much we don't know in this world.. x.x

n-E_ToLbzLw Queenie's Anime Theme~ I had a hard time choosing between which Inuyasha opening/ending to use but....... I have to go with this one. Queen is very introspective and intuitive and she was really missing her man for a while there. =[ I immediately think of Inuyasha when I think of iconic anime openings/endings so I'm sure you can all guess what age bracket I fall into? _O9hRcIAza0 Miounne's Anime Theme~ A bit more on the fun, zany side and I think that suits her. x3

@ Banquo - I'm not sure monsters and biology is quite what I'm thinking of, sorry. @ Reshie - Ancient cultures would fit the bill, and perhaps Dravanians specifically but not dragons as a whole? I'll contact you if I get something going. =]

Are there any RP'ers out there with established groups or characters that have a primary or even secondary interest in the cultures of Eorzea and researching them/preserving them? I've been working on Queen's future development prospects and preserving her culture has always been a personal goal..but I want to expand her interests into other cultures (playable races, Beast tribes, Primals, etc). If there is not currently an established group, I'd kind of like to make my own FC/LS into one... would anyone have interest in this?

My FC is not solely for RP, but our premise is that Queenie runs an inn in the mountains between the city states with those who come to "board" there, and some end up joining their Legion and pledging an Oath to Queen. Misfits coming together to become a family, a bit Firefly-esque without the "petty thieving" ehehehe. You know where to find me if this would be a fit for your alt~

Mm, for me it really depends on my personal mood. Music has a special place in my heart, and if I'm just relaxing at home, I'll turn on a Pandora/Youtube channel I like and move about with it as background noise. When conceptualizing characters or storyboarding I like to listen to music with lyrics, because it helps me get into the mindset of the character. But if I'm actually writing anything, I do much better work when listening to music without lyrics and it's very themed. While RPing it usually depends on how lazy I am; if I have the energy to bring the laptop from the office to the living room, then I'll turn on some background music, but usually I am way too lazy so I just RP in silence.

Two things: Great information in everyone's responses; it's clear that the instances in which one would be literate or highly literate in Eorzea would depend on their line of work or upbringing, not just the public education of the people. I think my character Frejyalen is literate (as she was educated in politics and culture as a future Queen), but I hadn't considered whether my character Miounne would be literate.. might have to think on that one. I went over to the Eagle & Quill, as was suggested to me here. It was a lovely place, with lovely people, and I will be frequenting their FC house for RPing until I get my own (and still probably after). So thanks to those who helped me out!

Not exactly a *public* library, mind you. Being that most of Eorzea is illiterate, I'd imagine libraries are limited almost exclusively to organizations of academic types. I had not considered that... I really did not know that most of Eorzea was illiterate. =Oc Thank you for the info on that, is there somewhere where I can read about Eorzean customs with reading/literature/information sciences (kind of ironic...reading about a lack of reading? LOL) And thank you Flickering Ember, I will definitely have to check that place out!! =D

Gah, their last visit was in July...but maybe I can find them in-game and ask D=
