  1. Oooh I tried out the "lalafell art" tag on Tumblr and there's a lot of new art coming out as the masterrace takes over the hearts of the people of Eorzea!! SLOWLY BUT SURELY, MY FRIENDS. Close-up of this piece (tumblr artist link)
  2. I'm sorry, I don't know many other ways to trade smaller sums of money like this online. =[[
  3. Bluevann's screenshot of Yoshi's first statement about personal housing makes me laugh but it's followed by sad, angry mumbling afterward. Also posted my support over at the thread you linked!
  4. SOME MORE LALAFELL ART by some friends and lovely people!
  5. Literally every person waiting to see if Oriel will open for commissions: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BpDirGXIAAAv1H-.jpg[/img]
  6. Could I get a link? I'm curious. While not taller (obviously, wee Chachan is wee), I definitely run my little guy as being rather stocky - as the Berrod piece points out. His father, however, could totally be "Mountainfolk" and thus explain his burlier physique. ... Along with the fact he's been working a forge since childhood. Yes! One sec.. http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=6370&highlight=mountainfolk also fun fact I too IRL have been working a forge since childhood, ehehe. Not regularly tho so I'm still scrawny. ;^; Neato! On both counts. I don't know too much about forging and smithing myself, so I'd love to get any tidbits you'd like to share to make that angle of Chachan's character all the more believable. While it definitely seems the "hip" thing to do (usually with Miqo'te, it seems), but after reading that I could definitely see Doman Lalafell being Mountainfolk (heralding from the wondrous Mt. Notfuji). With his mother definitely being Dunesfolk... that would make the kid and his two other siblings mixed-blood. The dislike of heat kinda clashes with a smith, though... Still, a fun and interesting read! Thanks for sharing it with me! Yeah, if you're ever wondering about something specific with blacksmithing I can help a lil bit. You can PM me if ya like. ^.^ Though I mostly focused on the artistic side of it, making little trinkets or sculptures and whutnot, not so much large equipment or machinery pieces or anything like that. Though my dad is a professional blacksmith who has taught classes and such locally, so I can always relay a question to him~ As for Mountainfolk, I do think they could work as a sub-race from Doma as well. My character Queen's former home/culture is based on some northern european cultures, so Mountainfolk totally works for her haha. And I think that an aversion to heat would apply, but if he is indeed mixed-race, you could always just assume that part annulled. Or use that as a writing prompt idea - about how your Chachan had to overcome the discomfort of the forge's heat in order to pursue his passion! =D

  8. I tried to draw my lalafell character Queen, but figuring out the anatomy was challenging for me. This is..I think the third try? There was a post on the forums about "Mountainfolk" lalafell and I think that Queen would definitely fit that type of lalafell best. I always imagined her body being a little bit bigger than the average Dunesfolk or Plainsfolk, both taller and possibly stockier? Also I have no idea why I gave her short hair, I think it was to avoid ruining the shoulder outline. Anywho, here's some potato art sketchin!
  9. You are welcome to tip, if the work pleases you. ^////^ I shall put you down for the last slot~ and I'll contact you via PM when the rest of the list before you has cleared! =3
  10. Thank you everyone for sharing such beautiful potato art.:love::love: I want to reply to every one but I would spam the thread, so instead, rep!
  11. Both of the pieces posted by you are so adorable. >////<
  12. Yes, I agree with you as well. The art is out there, but only after sifting through piles and piles of miqo arts. (No offense to the miqos out there!) There is no bias here. Anyone who says so has no evidence of such.
  13. D'aww, very cute pics of her.
  14. This is plea to see more lalafell art! I am not biased, why would you even think that?! Great artists of this fine forum, please, show me your lalas! These potato lovers also need beautiful feasts for their eyes! D= No one can deny how much more adorable we are than ALL the other races!! So if you're an artist who draws us little potato people, post it here or link it! I wanna check it out. =] lalafellmasterrace
  15. You have beautiful work with so much expression! Very unique. I'm with the many others here, I would love to commission you (if you decide to do commissions, and if they are for gil lol). Will be excited to see more~ lots of Miqo love but I really like how you do lalafells as well!
  16. I just want to let everyone who is on my commission list know that I am going through some things IRL at the moment, and it is preventing me from fully working on the commissions. Roommate, blah blah last minute move (only 3 months after the last one) that sort of thing. Basically I am trying to get my ducks in a row and it's proving more difficult than expected~ Soon I will not have internet at home, BUT I do all the commissions on my laptop and there are many cafes within walking distance where I can go to upload the kokeshis. =] So although I have not been able to start on more than one at a time so far, please know that I will be finishing all commissions. It is just taking me longer than I had hoped and I'm really sorry to everyone that hasn't received theirs yet and already paid! If this is an issue for anyone, please let me know if I should refund you. I will be completely understanding. - Queenie
  17. I also have a friend trying to sneak an alt on at the next maintenance. He's tried several times when the Lodestone listing said it was open, but got to the end to find it was still closed. =[ But it is true that you can avoid waiting for a server to open by transferring - that's what myself and a friend did on the same night!
  18. Random art gifts are the best art gifts. :chocobo::love:
  19. I would love to come, and Queenie can bring some of the rare tea our characters discussed last time I was there. =3c
  20. 2 slots open now, soon to be 3! =D Thanks so much to everyone thus far, the queue will start to move along shortly!
