I love that picture, though I was sure it was girl before I read the text *giggle* But yay for girly guys! (wish we had more of them in Finland) I would love it if you have the time and felt inspired to draw my character... Some pics of her HERE. She's quite pale and doesn't really use any make-up so her dark eyes kinda pop out. I really like the beauty spot under her right eye so it should be included *nodnod* The scar on her forehead is optional. Her hair it short and white, I often call her cotton ball, it should be little longer from the front (almost down to her eyebrows) but otherwise it would be almost as seen in those in-game pics. Her tail is long, light-grey with white tip. (It's fun to watch her run in-game, the tail is hypnotizing with the white tip that glows in the dark) Her clothes would usually be black and she often has fang-earrings but no other jewelry. And if you want to add some personality you can draw her shy or nervous, though she has other sides too. She likes both males and females. Damn now I feel like drawing too

Ohai! I'm also EU RPer and planning to return to the game soonish maybe! I quit the game earlier mostly because all RP events were after midnight in my timezone and I felt alone. Been back now and then but been off again for moooonths. But as said, I really wanna come back again, so maybe we will see online some day!

Heya guys! I've been away looong time, waiting game to get better and active and such. Been spying some of Merri's videos in youtube now and then, they look nice btw! Anyways, I "quit" this game earlier mostly because my bf went back to WoW and I wanted to play with him, but end of summer we kinda broke up and I haven't play WoW for couple months now. I meant to return to FFXIV earlier (like I talked to Merri and Ami) but then my pc broke and had to buy some new parts. Now I plan to (try) return again but I'm super poor atm IRL (one rent behind) and I hear they gonna start billing the monthly gametime soon, so we'll see how much I can play! I still have alot of freetime to play though. How's things in game? We have more EU-time players yet? Year ago it got kinda lonely when all RP events and such started around midnight my time, but I still had some nice RP and I hope people still RP!! Hope to see you in game soon! :moogle:

Anyone have idea why I can't login to fill the poll? When I put my ID and password and security code, it tells me the "Region is wrong" And if I try with another (wrong) ID, it just tells me the password is wrong... Heya heya all! Now that I feel abit more confident that I will continue playing after the trial I thought maybe I should tell something about myself and my RP. I'm finnish girl age of 28. (I don't feel so old though) I think I'm pretty good at english but I sometimes suck in spelling and such, so thank god for RP! I can talk funny! :3 *cough* Anyways... I'm currently long-term "sick", so I have alot of time to play. I wish to see meet many people and find my little RP community that I can call home. At the moment I am in Mog House and I like the people there, but IC I still need many more contacts. My main character is Almil Milei (about 18-y), Miqo'te. I'm planning to write about her to the wiki later. I may have enough time and money to make another character too, if I just keep him/her less experimental and not try every damn class like with Almil, haha. No wonder I'm poor >_< I played Lalafell called Lilinya for few days, and while I enjoyed her IC story and personality, I don't feel Lalafell is my race... Seeking for someone to play your sibling or friend or such? Contact me, because I'd love to join RP that is partly planned already, character with history. So if you need a sister or such, ask away, tell me how she should be and I'll think if I can RP her. Just some wishes: Race: Hyur or Elezen. (maybe Miqo'te if I make another) Age: 15-30 ... (My own characters are usually bi, like I am) I think I have enough experience on RP to say I am moderate/heavy RPer. I haven't play FFXIV much yet, few weeks and max level 14. I haven't play other MMO's except WoW, so I don't have much to compare. Since I don't have playstation and such anymore, computer is my only platform, and I've been waiting long time to play Final Fantasy series again. I'm willing to give this game a chance but like others I'll probably quit paying for it if improvements aren't made soon. (preferably before 2011) The Good (positives)[*] [*]So pretty ^^ Not only the cutscenes but other craphic too. [*]I like the amount of detailing in character and enviroment and monster designs. [*]I love how I can learn everything with same character if I want to. (in WoW I had like 20 chars because I wanted to try everything :< [*]I can wear all clothes! Means more RP clothes! Even if I'm too low rank for the cloths it still lets me equip them so I have pretty RP clothes! (if I someday have money to buy them) [*] I love crafting and gathering, I love the challenge it has! (I always hated that in WoW it was just click of button and I could go to another room while my char makes all items...tooooo easy) [*] Weather effects are nice! (more about this in "Bad") [*] I can be catgirl!!! [*][/list:u] The Bad (negatives)[*] [*]Weather effects, yes, they are nice, BUT, I want areas to have more than 1-2. Why only Gridania area has thunder? Why can't it also have windy effect from Limsa, and why Limsa can't have thunder? I understand that Ul'dah mostly just has sandstorms. I would also like wind to affect my character more, game already has many wonderful emote animations, so why can't my character now and then hold her hat when its very windy? [*] About those emotes. I love love the animations, BUT the translations to the emotes are mostly stupid, and my text emote shows up something very different than I wanted. Would also like option to disable the chat emote and only show the animation. [*]Some things in the game are way too random. Like success rate in crafting. Sometimes I botch the synthesis before I even get 50%, and next try I might get 200-300 quality??? [*] TOO MANY PEOPLE gathering to crafting guilds and at crafting leve NPC's. Why can't guilds have like ROOM where you need to pay to get in to use facilities, and room is like "instance" making you invisible and normal people and RPers in guild area don't need to see all those OOC crafters and their chat spam. Same goes for repair NPC, the area is always sooooo FULL of people, makes me maaaad! [*] I want mailbooooooox! I need a way to transfer items from one of my own chars to other one of my own chars! Now I need to bother my friend to play courier! >_< [*] I want to make more characters without PAYING extra for it, I want to RP many races! :< Even if I only level one of them properly. [*] I hate the fact that I need to make so many macros to speed things up. Atm I have macros to change gear/class, and to change chatmodes. Seriously I need faster way to see friendlist and leves that I am holding. (and alot more!!!!!!!) [*] Lag....doesn't bother much unless I am trying to RP (or find RP) , not nice to walk into room and wait ages for people to load, then you might find out you are standing on another RPer and its rude [*]Menu lag!!!!! takes toooooooooo long to open all menus and inventory and such, takes tooo long to buy and sell items! [*] I need item sorting for my inventory, thank you! [*] Locating people is too hard, I can't see them in minimap (only dots) and even if I hear them in chat (/say) I have hard time finding them. And all places don't have easy meeting place such as "I'm @ Chocobo". Also I want ability to invite to party without having to target them. [*][/list:u] The Not-So-Ugly (thoughts, hopes, neutrality, etc.)[*] [*]I've seen the games Bonus DVD interviews and some coming patch notes, so I still have hope the game will become more playable, but atm I'm REALLY happy it's free so far because it's way too expensive to pay if I can't enjoy it fully. Now now, I didn't mean to make topic go to arguing and name calling... *soothes everyone* But still I want to say what I said earlier. I didn't ask for realistic hours, just bit slower. Like 4-6 Eorzea days in one Earth Day, then it should have everything for every timezone? ----But, I'm from europe, and many other RPers are from america, so ...if I happen to join their RP when they have already started, do I need to pretend its daytime, even that its night in my home? Now wait, I mean if they have started the RP just some minutes earlier and have agree it is day time (sun shining in game) but when I join it's night time in game and they still want to RP day time?? .....see, I go mad hahaha. Maybe I am indeed thinking too much *ruffles her hair* And I repeat my other question. How does the characters age? Should I just stick to the age I think her to be, even if I play months-years?

I understand people are in different timezones, but still, does it have to be this fast? Why not like ...hmm., 3 Eorzea days in 24h Earth time? or 4, ...but....24 days? *fumes* And while your friends RP, you might be in school/work or even just leveling your character OOC professions and classes, and you miss days from your friends character lives.. But seriously, how fast does our characters age? And does the game have any kind of calendar so I can see how many weeks in Eorzea time I have play my character, so I don't miss her birthday and such, hehe ^^ I don't wanna age fast and be old :<

Hiya guys, I'm new at the game and new on the forums *bows* I was thinking what others think about the issue that I dislike -most- in the game (atm). I tried to search if someone already post topic about it but didn't find, so here it goes. First day when I started to play I thought it was cool that the day changed to night soon, and I could even see thunder (which I think is well done with sounds). But, now that I have got familiar with all the controls and how everything (almost everything) works, I'd like to start roleplaying. This is when I got very frustrated days moving so fast. One short RP session (short in my taste) took many DAYS in my characters life...?!?! This ain't nice. I haven't actually stare with second watch how fast the time goes, but it seems something like one second in Earth time, is one minute in Eorzea time? That means one minute has been hour. When you start counting the days when you started to play this game, how old would your character be today? I mean its soon years and hundreds of years, do we need to make new RP characters soon or are all races immortal? Sure someone can say "I don't watch the time, I RP the way I want to, days don't move so fast." But it's impossible to come up with time that every RPer agrees with. Someone might use Earth time in their RP, and another Eorzea time, what happens? One or two days later (earth time) they meet again and this happens: "Hi, nice to see you again, been a long time!" "What you mean, we just met yesterday." Anyways think you get my point already, anyone have opinion to share? --- PS, I really looked forward to roleplaying in this game. Why is it so hard?
