any update on gil coms?

Titor is quite against the guilds in his fields. He sees the arcanist's guild as more of a club, mass-producing grimoires and handing premade geometry patterns to any adventurer that would walk in. Kind of the same with the alchemist's guild, but he has a lesser dislike for them than the arcanists' guild. He has little to no preference on the rest at this moment in time since he is not interested in those fields or knows he would not be good at them.

Name: Titor Jaraba World: Balmung Character main class/job/role (Optional): Alchemist/Scientist/Geometry User (ACN but focused heavvvilllyy on math, and less so on magic or summons) Cards (recommended): The Hanged Man, Death, The World (From first choice to third choice) Reason for Card choice (recommended): Titor is a very intricate character. The first two cards, the Hanged Man and Death, are quite representative of his physical being. Titor has sickle-cell anemia, which often causes him great amounts of pain. He is trying as an alchemist to try to find a cure for it, but so far has only figured out ways to manage it, but it still causes a variety of issues. He works with the Flames and is quite self-sacrificing on that manner. The words for the Hanged Man on the wikipedia seemed to describe him. Passive, confirming, acceptance. He tries to remain optimistic about the health he had been given, but it is very hard, and he has mostly become melancholic about it. He knows he will die at a young age, no matter if he stays out of battle or not. He has also been in numerous situations of being a PoW/captured/tortured for the Flames. One time even having been taken to Garlemald. He tries to put others before himself, stepping in the way so that he may be taken instead of others. However the amount of carelessness that he has received from those he protects and stands for has, on the most lowest level of his mind, been taking a corrupted seed. Thus the slight implications of traitor on the card may be a bit symbolic of his own questions of his loyalty to the Flames and Eorzea. While he may never actually defect or become a traitor, somewhere deep inside his mind is that thought. For the World, this one has much less physical/social interpretation of him, but instead dives deep into his math savant-ism. The world is cosmic unity, connectedness. Titor has a much different connection the world than say, a conjurer or one who focuses in on nature. Titor is able to see the underlying algorithms of reality. Math, physics, chemistry. His understanding for the minutiae of the system that makes up reality gives him deep insight into the inner-workings of mathematical phenomena. Thus his connection with space-time through mathematics. Tumblr name (optional): None Also please include 1-3 screenshots

I am really glad they had a bromance option. I am OOCly EBing with my RL best friend, so yeah. Bromance pact option here.

Titor continued to be dazed as he was patched up and lead out. His wounds would still continue bleeding, but only be stopped or at least held back a bit by the bandaging. It was hard to get him to his feet as they walked, but he tried with every last bit of his resolve to walk on his own. The tremoring still continued though, which shook his whole body every few moments. When he was brought to the same room as Kahn'a horrified to see they had received the same treatment. Looking up at him with his red, bloodshot eyes, Titor wanted to speak, but found no voice. It was too raw. They were going home. That was good, all he wanted to do was sleep. A few stray whimpers emitted from his throat subconsciously due to the residual burning and pain, not to mention the water that had found itself nestled into his lungs.
-
It burned, everything burned. He already hated water, even more so when it was briny, and even more when it was assaulting all of his senses at once. His body tensed as he could not breathe, as his wounds were irritated in the worst possible way. Try as he might to keep his eyes closed behind the cloth, the water seeped its way in. And the lack of oxygen was the topping, already lacking on the oxygen department due to his anemia, the sudden cutoff caused him an insurmountable amount of chest pain. His lungs were screaming, burning, begging for some of the air. None came. Once the water stopped, his whole body was trembling, the blood soaking the cloth that clung so tightly to his face. He had been screaming as best he could during the assault, though it mostly came out as gurgles. When he finally had enough calm to mutter out a word, he choked out "...why." They were making quite the convincing argument. He had a slight idea where some of the Wings would be. He continued trembling violently, seeming to come from his very core. He had to stay strong, for his Unit, for whom he thought had the best intent. "... For coin and country." He whimpered pathetically, trying to keep some resolve but he was not going to be able to take much more. He felt his energy draining from him, seeping from him, much more of the deoxygenation and blood loss and he would soon be unconscious, He welcomed it at this point. He wanted it. Nothing more than to lose consciousness.

This image is not IC even a little bit, but man do I think it looks cool

Mammets are AIs. The Allagan have had various AIs Really, programming something that just follows you around and drops a specific thing on a voice command is not too hard in the real world, I am sure with aether it would be not that hard in Eorzea.

I would be interested In a Gil com too ^^

balmung Floria's cooking and health care services
Titor replied to FloriaRaine's topic in Chronicled Connections
I would be interested in this! Titor is quite well off IC and I have some NPC cooks/guards. If you would want Titor to hire you that would be neat -
ICly Titor wants to improve on the transmutations for his illness, hopefully trying to find a permanent cure this year (This is going to go really bad, spoilers) OOCly I want to get another 50 mil gil saved up before 3.0 hits to hopefully help the FC I am in lead the way with airships. THIS IS NEEDED. Pretty sure I will be able to make it, and to get a peripheral house in lavender beds

It is also unlocked right before maintenance, at least it was for me. I managed to sneak two alts in like 6 minutes before the servers went down. If you want to create multiple characters, click create and at the loading screen force crash/kill the game, then immediately log in to create a new one. You can make multiple characters this way without going through the long intro cutscene if time is of the essence. (though you will have to go through the cutscenes the first time you log into the character to play it)

Titor had been so lost in thought that the pen to his face made him yelp. He stared at a single spot after he had been left alone, his cheek bleeding steadily. Even after a bell, it had not stopped bleeding in the slightest due to his anemia. When the woman entered the room, he seemed to break out of his trance, looking up at her. Blood had trailed down his face. He had thought long and hard in the time he was in. He had to choose one or the other, or none. He had been in this situation before, back in Garlemald. They had experimented in him, and the port-like implants still ran up and down his back. Were his shirt to be removed, they would see them, they would wonder how such things happened, what they did. It would give him even more connection to Garlemald. Maybe he was the antagonist all along, never knowing it at all. He had been in this situation before. He was not about to be in it again. Back in Garlemald, the whole time he simply wished he could end it. When he got out, he made sure that it would never happen to him again. He had a self-destruct switch now. A small shard of corrupted aether embedded deep in his body. Three sparks of controlled aether to it, and his aether would ignite and explode violently. Of course this had been meant to be used against a clear enemy. Never in his wildest dreams did Titor believe he would be put in such a situation of unsure loyalty. He could just disappear, choose no side, but the violent explosion would likely hurt his captors, who may very well be in the right. "...I do not want to hurt you... or anyone..." he said his voice was already distant. "....I do not know." he said, closing his eyes. What would come would come. He could not derive information. He could not terminate himself. There was no winning. He wanted to pick no side. That was not an option. A bit of corruption may have been seeded in him, he wanted to protect his friends. His comrades.... The Red Wings.

What does your character wish for for Starlight?
Titor replied to Maril's topic in Character Workshop
To find a way to not be in pain anymore. -
Ahhhh Redwall.. EULALIAAAA

Titor shook his head, breaking his gaze away. He was not sure where his loyalty lie anymore. He knew of the corruption in the Flames, and Ul'dah in general. Not all members of the Flames were honorable. Many were greedy, corrupt. He was not sure what team he was on anymore. The Wings had taken him in, brought him back in after his honorable discharge. They gave him his life back, gave him a hook and a recommendation to get back to his life after he found a way to manage his illness. He looked up at the face of his captors, and he saw the face of the Garleans that had captured him nearly a year prior. All of what he had went through there came flooding back, and his face made every bit of that visible. He zoned out, tried disconnecting from the world. Ignore it all and it will all go away. There is no solution to this.

Thank you I have sent the payment ^^ You had drawn him in the alternate clothing that he does not wear though, but that is ok I suppose lol.

Titor's eyes narrowed in thought a bit. He thought back of his whole time there, all of it. The more he thought, the more his own suspicions arose, the more things began to click into place. There were some strangely strong ties between the Red Wings and Garlemald. Sure they had been under the attack by the Empire multiple times, and Titor had witnessed such shootings and assassination attempts, not to mention the time when loyalists to the Empire had broken into their own base. He was wondering if this was just a clever plot by Erik, whose own involvement in the Empire's progress might be as a double agent in the Flames. Maybe the time that the Garleans had broken into their base was a clever plot to exchange information, a way to make them look like the bad guys to the rest of the unit, allowing Erik to deceive those who followed him. The workings around the Red Wings were relaxed. Too relaxed. Way too relaxed for comfort. The more he thought, the more his face furrowed. He had been taught to not talk in the face of the enemy? What about when he may have turned out to be the enemy. He took short slow breaths as his mind worked overtime to try to calculate the right outcome. Were the Red Wings right? Were they wrong? Who was to be trusted? He wanted to do what was best for Ul'dah. But what if neither of them were in the wrong? What if both of them were? He had not enough information to make a proper choice in the matter, and just kind of stared up at Alec. Remember your training, Titor. ...there was no training for this. His training had been against clear enemies of the state. Garleans, beastmen, in the event he would be captured and be facing, beyond a shadow of a doubt, someone he should never talk to anything about. If he spoke here, he could possibly betray the Red Wings, who may be the enemy. If he remained silent, he could possibly betray Ul'dah, and Her People, and everything he fought for. Titor's mouth was slightly agape as his mind ran infinite permutations of calculations using the data he had. Every one yielded a different result. "....I do not know." He squeaked, more as a response to his mind's own questions, and to a lesser extent a response to Alec.

Titor took a deep breath. Those were some hefty charges. While he had not witnessed any acts of terrorism directly, there were a few strange happenings around the Wings that he was a bit skeptical of, now that he looked back on it. He nodded slowly as he listened to the charges. He was still trying to figure out whom was in the right here. While the Red Wings masqueraded as a relief unit, there were a few protocols that seemed to be different or altered for their true form. He was not about to just out the Red Wings. There was some sensitive information that, if it got into the wrong hands, would be very troublesome. "I see." he said, watching the book. "I do not believe those claims to be true." he said. Whether he was bluffing or not was not exactly visible.

balmung LF "Dark"/Mature Themed RP or FC? x_X
Titor replied to Dia's topic in Chronicled Connections
There are dark plots, yes. However, it is a bit hard to play a dark/evil character in the game due to the nature of Eorzea, which is a very militaristic place I believe, especially if your group decides to hang around the cities at all. It is also hard to play a villain on this server, I feel. The RP community is very, very connected here. FCs will often work with each other. I know of two 'evil/antagonist' based FCs out there, and even then I have not seen them do anything terribly treacherous (i do not really consider petty thefts as extremely dark). While there are a few assassins IC, if you wish to be an assassin you are only going to be assassinating NPCS (Unless you are lucky and stumble upon someone killing off their character and want to be assassinated). If you mean underground slave trafficking or what not, I am not sure if there is a huge market for that outside of people who would RP it too far and get into the realm of possible ToS violations. Overthrowing governments like Ul'dah or whatnot, is kind of hard to RP out and actually ever succeed with (since most people follow the lore and the MSQ happenings, and I doubt you could get a lot of people to agree that you and your company are suddenly running Ul'dah) -
Balmung and Gilgamesh got selected for the event earrings
Titor replied to Titor's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Just a reminder that these earrings are going to be taken out of the game for now on the 31st, so if you have not yet picked them up on your main or alts now would be the time to do so o7
