I one time wasn't paying attention and sent Asheloux to the east shroud to meet some FC leaders on behalf of his company and realized halfway through the RP that he has an arrest warrant in Gridania and HATES Gridania and prolly shouldn't have been there >.< It was a slip on my end but as the only online representative of my FC......ugh. Also I regret making him nice in certain situations where he prolly wouldn't be nice or having him choose to ignore things he wouldn't usually ignore.

Asheloux secretly researches the void and has a habit of summoning things from there out of curiosity. Asheloux himself is kind of cranky, grouchy, strict, yet gets excited when things involve aether. He is very...in touch with aether so to speak but I think it would be interesting to work something out. With him, ERP wouldn't a problem because he's not interested in touching other people (he wears gloves so he never has to come in contact with others) so I promise he's not a creep. Just a grouch looking for a new servant 'cause his other one kinda got lost somewhere 'cause reasons >> Since she's a bitch and Asheloux is kind of an ass I think that having a voidling who would argue and bicker with him would be nice. I'm in the start/middle of an arc where Asheloux could use a "supercharged Black Mage-classed, humanoid voidkin"for some of the research coming up--or even the expedition into the dungeon runs themselves. Not sure if this would be of interest to you but yeah. He'd be willing to offer up his aether but I'm not too comfortable with killing him. I think having someone like your character as a contact/summon for Asheloux would be an interesting secret for him to keep though as he does have a few other voidlings he likes to experiment on and use, etc.

The way I've always done it (and my friend did this during the holiday too) is 8AM EST--while I was getting ready for classes (I have 3 characters on Balmung juuuuuust in case. Two are for RP, one is not, for now). With transfers, I tried it once and it was around 4PM EST and it took all of instantaneously to do it. Your character just needs to be 3 days old on some other server before transfering. The transfer times do not match to the server lock times, from what I've seen. it's $18, yes. But if you really want to be on Balmung and don't want to make a character super early in the morning, that is your best bet.

My character's dad was a pretty well known Ishgardian Dragoon until he made a boo boo and had to run away with his wife...and later drove their poor son crazy with the halone teachings that he ended up accidentally setting them on fire!!!!! <----tl;dr, haven't slept in two days version. You can look at the wiki for my character if you want >.< Sooooo while my character is Ishgardian he doesn't really go to Coerthas...nor Gridania haha We could try to work something out though? I've mostly RPed his researcher/knowledge obsessed side and have been looking for an opportunity to RP his Ishgardian side a bit~ Not sure what your character would want with the son of exiles who kinda killed said exiles......but if you want to plot something fun let me know xPP

Yes and yes! Though Aylea is the type of person who doesn't really go on the boats for kiiiiinda a similar reason haha. (more like she's afraid she will never see land again). We can work something out on both~~~ I need to RP more with Aylea but Asheloux arguing silly idiots is also something I enjoy~~~ And I would like to work out some future plots with you on the darker stuff because that is always fun fun fun! Since I mostly know seiyuu (read: obsessed with seiyuu) I will got with that for my characters. I WOULD say Nakamura Yuuichi for Asheloux, but he's kind of Thancred haha....also would've said KENN but he's Urianger...So maybe Sakurai Takahiro. To be honest, I tried this an experiment to see what would happen: I had my character, the type of guy who does fool around with the void and voidsent and other crazy things, walk into a meeting with an imp summoned and no one said anything--not even when I had him interact with it, such as absently smacking it, shooing it away, etc. I eventually had him dismiss it 'cause I was like....I give up and went on with the RP. My character is not evil and nor has he made some deal with a devil, etc. He does experiment on this kind of stuff though. But yeah, no one cared and I think it's because not many people do care about this kind of stuff or think about it when they RP. ....I was sad because I was totally prepared for some kind of IC argument with sassy comments and mean words flung around, etc. But that didn't happen sooooo >>

^^^^^ Gonna say that Xavarian is super fun to RP with and you should totally do it. He'll make you meet him in the middle of nowhere and you'll both get lost and go in circles for like 10 minutes! That being said, I can offer up both Asheloux and Aylea. I am kinda on vacation in Hawaii until Saturday night sometime (EST) but after that I will be in-game and ready for some fun first times! ....that sounds weird no matter how you read it....Anywho: 1. Do you want a grouchy Black Mage, Wildwood Elezen who is kind of demanding, controlling, and loves experimenting on everything and anyone? He values intelligent people and people interested in learning and while he can be incredibly irritable, becomes more passionate and lively when adventure and new things to learn are involved. Being brought up by Ishgardian exiles in Gridania, Asheloux lived an incredibly sheltered life, so while he is kind of a downer and strict with his practices, he is someone who should probably get out more often, enjoy the world, and experience some "first times" for himself. He has connections to some really interesting people too, such as some crazy ship captains and other nerds! tl;dr Asheloux is an anything magic-related, aether-related, allagan tech-related, ruins-related, and any other cool nerd-related thing nerd who lived a sheltered life, burned his halone-loving parents alive, and is now experiencing the world for himself. 2. I can offer up my alt, Aylea Fairclough, for something more simple. She is the daughter of a rich merchant who kind of said "screw it" to her upbringing and went off to start her own business, backing out on an arranged marriage. While she is the assistant to two ship captains based in Limsa, she goes home a lot to Ul'dah because she is still connected with her family. She is generally nice and accepting of all people and has a bright personality--unless you piss her off. tl;dr She's pretty normal, fun, and someone great to hang around. Could become a good friend-kind of person. Not a skilled fighter or anything....just someone normal. Asheloux commonalities lie with the fact that he's a mage (like that mage) as well as that fact that he's still experiencing a lot of his first times. The whole "butting his way into life and ruining everything" for Asheloux would be SUPER fun though. Want to screw up some super fun expeditions into caves and crystal research while building airships or other weird things like running into monsters WHILE on expeditions and having to save your butt. That would be pretty cool. Aylea is pretty normal and coming up with some normal experiences with her should be fairly easy. If you're looking for a normal friend around the city to explore some areas near Ul'dah, going around--possibly messing up some business venture maybe or anything else. That could work too. To be honest, she is kind of an experiment in roleplaying a character who isn't a super hero master fighter. She is kind of my balance to Asheloux's....craziness, so to speak. Both of my character's wiki's and my RP information are in my signature if you want to read more. I mostly roleplay with Asheloux because roleplaying with Aylea makes me a little nervous (I tend to attract crazy people on both characters but Aylea I've gotten some strange tells >.<) but yeah...I'd be up for either! I'd love to get in on some darker stuff...My day job is screenwriting and editing and I am well practiced in that darker, creepier stuff you mentioned so getting into some of that would be great! I am an officer in my FC and Asheloux is the leader of his faction in the alliance that is my FC's plot, and we're also looking to expand and do RP in dungeons and what not for expeditions, research, what have you. So if you want to work out something with me and maybe at some point drag some other people down with you, I'd be up for that too (this isn't me asking you to join the FC, our plots right now are mostly with people outside of our FC because of the crazy things I make Asheloux do and drag people he knows into his crap...this is only a suggestion if you want to ruin some more lives while you're at it haha). As I said at the beginning, I'm kind of away until Saturday but I would love to plan something out with you on either character (or both if you want) for sometime next week.

Basic Info Characters: Asheloux Thalantos [have Au Ra alt planned] Primary character: Asheloux Thalantos Linkshells: Ishgard RP, MYTH RP, Umbra Illustre Primary RP linkshell: Myth RP [*] II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I would like to consider myself someone who, when they are actually doing the roleplay, is a pretty medium-heavy level roleplayer. I will mostly write out everything and take the situation pretty seriously and try to make the most out of all interactions. However, I am not in character all the time. For example, when I am leveling an alternate class I will not be in character. I am open to RP of all levels but please use proper english and some obvious indication that you are roleplaying. Views on RP combat and injuries: I'm cool with anything as long as it is sensible. Not really comfortable with permadeath and no god-modding. I think I would have to trust the RP ability of the person I would be fighting with to do something like combat and anything serious would have to be discussed and agreed upon beforehand. If Ashe gains a permanent scar or something from it, that's totally cool. Wanting to cut off his arm to add to your collection of limbs, you'd need to discuss that with me first. Though neither of my characters are really fighters so not sure when the need for battle would actually arise. Views on IC romance: As long as it's not pre-planned I am okay with it. I get really put-off by people coming up to my characters expecting me to just go against their personalities or actual...whatever and be like "Yes, of course I want to marry you!" I've also had people ask in tell for IC relationships and marriage before I RP with them and I am really put off by that too. Both of my characters are single but it would have to make sense for either of my characters. For example, while Ashe is single he isn't exactly romantically interested, nor is he exactly attracted to just anyone. So for Ashe, someone would really have to work hard. So yeah, as long as it's sensible and not pre-planned all is good. As for RPing stuff like...the physical side of romance, I am not really experienced in RPing that kind of stuff and would prefer to fade to black unless you give me some real explanation as to why you want to roleplay that stuff out. I guess all I can say is please be sensible. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Depends on my characters. Asheloux's family is dead so that wouldn't make sense but if you come up with something super creative and amazing I'd love to hear it and would totally consider it. As long as it's not like Asheloux's long lost brother who escaped Ishgard just to come find him and kill him, it's cool. If it's his father's brother or his cousin or something, maybe that could work?...that'd be pretty cool actually haha. Once again, just be sensible. Views on lore: I like to roleplay within the lore of the world that we are in. I don't really think it makes sense not to. If I wanted to RP another game's lore, I'd go play that game instead. That being said, I am not a lore expert. I try to be as knowledgable as I can about the world and everything I created in terms of my characters was with lore and world mechanics in mind. That being said, any errors made on my part were not intentional and were probably a misunderstanding of something and I'd be happy to correct anything if anyone points something out. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Everything in say and emote chat is roleplay and will either have quotes, followed by an emote, or a full-blown emote (usually multiple emotes). I have never used linkshell for RP but I'd be open to it if it makes it easier to see the chat flow in a crowded area. Anything OOC will be marked with )) at the end of it. Not sure if this is the right place to post this but for the Wiki page I am working on for one of my characters, the title of the page keeps showing up as "User:Asheloux Thalantos" when I just want it to be "Asheloux Thalantos." Is there a way to delete the User part? I am not really sure what I am doing wrong. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.
