Maelstrom officers, Yellowjackets, and capital R Rogues
Dogberry replied to Dogberry's topic in Chronicled Connections
Well, consider yourself vindicated, Blue! I'll see if we can't organize some patrols, see if we can catch any miscreants making trouble in our city and thereabouts. Hehehe... -
Five Nights at Freddy's reminds me of how much Chuck E. Cheese creeped me out. I loved going there for the arcade games, the ball pit, and the prizes. The animatronics show CREEPED ME OUT. So here's more animatronics. This time singing a rap song. [video=youtube] As for my situation, I didn't get a tell last night. We'll see how it plays out.

I'd love to see some Wood Wailers and such in Gridania, but my heart bleeds Maelstrom Red. -

Hail Captain! While Dogberry's history with the Maelstrom is spotty at best, as of late he's made a deal with the Maelstrom that will allow him to keep his ship, provided he serve in whatever capacity they require. While the loose wording of the deal worries him, so far he's warming up to life within the Maelstrom, finally seeing that the Maelstrom is doing some good in the world. I intend to make it a point to hang around Limsa more often. I see the awesomeness of The Sultansworn and The Red Wings in Ul'dah, and I think Limsa can have that, too. y halo thar captain letz b frenz -

Osric, I got no problems with you so long as you keep to the code. You know. THE CODE. UP UP DOWN DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT B A START. KEEP TO THE CODE. -
Kinda weird that a thread about creepy stuff has come up here. You might notice I've not really been around much lately, and that's because there's been some creepy stuff happening to me lately in game. It all started kinda odd. I got a random tell from someone just before I was about to log out. What was weird was that the person knew I was going to log out, even though I hadn't announced it in any of my linkshells or FC chat. I got a tell from someone named Somany Starrs saying "WAIT YOU NEED TO SEE THIS " The video led to "Hysteria" by Def Leppard. This really stuck me for several reasons. The first being the spelling of the word Starr with to R's. In high school I used to date a girl named Starr with two Rs. It wasn't her real name, but you know, gothy teenagers. The relationship ended when she was diagnosed with schizophrenia and put in a mental hospital. The last time I saw her she was staring up at the sky and speaking word salad to the constellation Orion. The second part was that "Hysteria" by Def Leppard actually has some emotional significance to me. I used to give guitar lessons to a guy who had been seriously injured in an on-the-job accident and was taking guitar lessons as part of a physical therapy regimen to get manual dexterity back. He had suffered some brain damage, and lost a lot of fine motor control. He was a fantastic guy, and we became good friends until he had a heart attack in his sleep and died. "Hysteria" was the song we worked on learning for months. So this conversation put me on edge. I tried to reply, but my tells weren't being received. Apparently there was no such person on that name on the server. I logged off, trying to get it out of my head. I logged on the next day, and expect tells from Somany Starrs, this time hoping to have a conversation. Nothing until I go to log off. Somany Starrs sends me a tell. "We miss you." Again, nothing. I can't reply. The next day, the same thing. Another tell. "Curtis says hi." I was friends with an old man named Curtis. He died too. The next day, another tell. "This is what you do now? Just this?" The next day. "You can come back to us." It's driving me a little crazy to be honest. Every time I log out, I get some kind of reminder from Somany Starrs. I want to get to the bottom of this, but I don't really know where to begin. I've just been cutting down my time online so I don't have to deal with it as much.

Thunder in the Heavens [Balmung] [Concluded]
Dogberry replied to Xydane Vale's topic in Chronicled Events
Punch that dragon right in the face. Have you seen The Grey, where Liam Neeson glues a bunch of broken glass onto his fists and then punches a wolf in the jaw? It'll be like that, except on a dragon. -

What's something nobody expects your character to be/do?
Dogberry replied to Unnamed Mercenary's topic in Fun Prompts
I could swear I've posted in this thread before, but I don't see a post from me... weird. Dogberry's first IC action was to win a riddle contest. Being a Roegadyn, he was already practically a unicorn. He blew their expectations out of the water when he proved he wasn't dumb. People who didn't know him began calling him "Smart Roegadyn" as if that set him apart from all the other Roes out there. You can imagine how insulting that would be. He began calling people out on that and they were doubly surprised. I really don't know what people expect Dogberry to be, but they're surprised when he displays any kind of intelligence at all. -
Dogberry's got designs on his very own casting couch.

Dogberry has a pipe dream of retiring from a life of adventuring to open a theater, live a quiet life (HA!) and raise his son. Of the plays I had ideas for, I'd love to do a production of "The Princess Bride" and "I Want To Be Your Canary."

This sounds like the kind of thing Iskierka would be very interested in.

[video=youtube] Legend of Black Heaven is an amazing anime, and the theme really fits Dogberry. [video=youtube] "Gessekai" by Buck-Tick, my favoritest J-rock band of all time did the theme to Nightwalker, and it's perfect for Iskierka.

For some reason, levelling Rogue has been really slow for me after I got Hide. Can't Imagine Why -

"So what exactly is your job title?" "I'm a L.I.A.L.L.O.F.T.A.O.N.S.M. Now I know that just sounds like a Sea Wolf name but trust me, it pays the bills." Not as much as you'd think. -

Ahem... Y'know, Dogberry would love to take you on as first mate, but you wouldn't be his first. Unfortunately, "the latest in a long line of fleeting trysts and one night stands mate" is just too long of a title. -
Let me tell you what I love. I'm a pretty competitive gamer. I played a lot of Magic: the Gathering, and play Warmachine/Hordes in one of the largest and most competitive metas in the USA. Lately I've been getting into Netrunner, and have actually considered going back to Magic. I love competition. I love it when I set traps that my opponent doesn't see and they walk right into them. I love thinking outside of the box when nobody else is, and thinking inside it when nobody expects me to. I always obey the rules, but I never play fair. I love to win. And I also love it when I'm outsmarted. I love being just plain outplayed by my opponent. I love learning lessons and adapting so that I can improve. And yes, sometimes you lose a game out of sheer bad luck. I like that, too. Keeps you humble. I just love it when I can sit down across from someone, and learn more about them by playing a game than hours of idle chat. Keep your tarot deck. I've brought my own, and it's blue/black.

Dogberry has been a very vocal worshipper of Llymlaen in the past, and had some interesting conversations with Yangh about Menphina. Lately, though, Dogberry's job has been to literally kill actual gods. You kill a god a few times, you begin to wonder what's so damn great about them.
