  3. Hornet at Rivi's wedding: [video=youtube]
  4. Gharen may be Hornet's only hope. You know you can still be married even if you don't see one another but once a month and don't live together. Yes, I'm aware. My wife works in the video game industry.
  5. Aww, Hornet, now you have me feeling bad. I'm sure you'll make a beautiful bridesmaid a bunch of times until you wrangle some weak-willed simp into total obedience, and have a long, happy marriage where you ignore how much attention he pays to your effeminate, yet attractive Elezen gardener.
  6. Call them what you will, Doggie, but you still wish she'd your with those trunks. No way. She's crazy. Long ago, my father pulled me aside and said "Son, let me impart upon you the wisdom of the ages. Never stick your in crazy."
  7. It's OK, Hornet. Now that my legs are gone, there's no need for the jealousy. You no longer have to feel bad about those cellulite-covered tree trunks you call legs.
  8. Hornet kneels: "Daghbheri Himalspyr, will you do me the honor of accepting my hand in marriage?" *hops IC* WILL YOU MAKE UP YOUR TWELVE DAMN MIND ON HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT ME?! I SWEAR TO CRAP FIRST YOU'RE SPLOOSHING AFTER DHEMGEIM SO MUCH YOU CAN'T BRING YOURSELF TO SAY ONE WORD TO ME, THEN THE NEXT YOU'RE LIKE OH YOU'RE A GOOD INFLUENCE ON HER SO YOU'RE OK IN MY BOOK JUST DON'T FUCK IT UP OR YOUR ASS IS GRASS, AND NOW YOU WANNA MARRY ME IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY I HAVE ENOUGH PROBLEMS AS IT IS RIGHT NOW DAMMIT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
  9. Dogberry will look fabulous in that tuxedo. GOOD LUCK CONVINCING HIM TO GET MARRIED HAHAHAHA!
  10. [video=youtube] Self-pity and opiate addiction. Good times.
  11. There were plenty of idle moments, but not a single quiet ones. It had been grating on Dogberry for days now. Boredom was overtaking him, and with now well on the road to reovery, he was a wellspring of energy. Dhemgeim was a great help. She was constantly keeping him occupied and engaged one way or another. When she wasn't around, Dogberry found himself reading, mostly philosophy these days, or exercising using whatever pieces of furniture in his room he could climb on or use to weigh him down. He seemed to have a steady parade of visitors, which he enjoyed, but dreaded. He was glad to know how concerned others were for him, but he felt humiliated for others to see him like this. He was aware of how vulnerable he was like this, and it embarrassed him. Still, the days seemed long, their visits short, and the nights took forever when it's just him and his thoughts. Nothing Dhemgeim could do could take even the the slightest amount of panic away. Dogberry looked at the pouch she had given him, from "the twins". She advised him to eat and have water handy. He requested a pitcher of water and some bread and cheese from his hosts, and when it arrived he made a small ritual. The bread, the cheese, and a pipe full of "hypna", he had been told, from the pouch. He was warned it contained somnus. He puffed idly, and sipped at the water. A wave of euphoria washed over him. Everyone told him somnus was dangerous. Nobody told him it was this amazing. His body relaxed in spite of himself, as he rested the pipe on the table next to his bed. As he drifted, he thought for a moment about the deal with the devil he had just made. No doubt, the first of a few. Then, finally, a brief moment of silence, bought at an expense only the desperate could pay.
  12. First, Captain Ahab. We'll take a bit of the brooding, unwavering desire for revenge that consumes him entirely Then Batou. The sense of duty and pride in himself that keeps him from falling apart. Marv, from Sin City, for his willingness to do terrible things for all the right reasons. Queequeg, for his hospitality, compassion and loyalty toward those he cares about. And finally, Hellboy. For sense of humor and the belief that you are more than the worst parts of yourself.
  13. With Dogberry, not so much. He's in a serious situation and I hope I never have to go through a double leg amputation, but it doesn't bum me out. However, there have been a couple of instances where I've had "bleed-through". For some background, I grew up in a very strict religion that put an emphasis on isolating ourselves from non-believers and that we would survive a literal apocalypse. I don't want to go into details about what happened during my time with them, but I should also add that they practice a very strict shunning policy for anyone who leaves. When I left they went after me pretty hard. So one day a friend of mine starts a Changeling: The Lost game. If you haven't heard of Changeling: The Lost, it's a game where you play a person who has been abducted by fairies, been turned into whatever they chose to make you according to their whim, and live at their mercy for an undisclosed amount of time, and then managed to escape after leaving a piece of your soul behind. I read through the book, and it basically read like a road map to my damage. I soldiered on, not wanting to let my friend down, and trying to convince myself that maybe expressing myself this way will be cathartic. It wasn't. I had to leave the game before I had a meltdown. The second one was due to he immersive nature of LARPing. I play in a post-apocalyptic game called Dystopia Rising, and at my second event, almost right out of the gate, I started having a panic attack. Wandering up to the camp, seeing the shanty town they made reminded me of how I was told we'd be living at first in the "new system." By the time I reached the camp, and people noticed me, I was shaking visably, almost about to break down into tears. I surrendered my weapons, asked for shelter, and they brought me in and gave me some hot chocolate. I'm pretty sure they thought it was all in-character. I just tried to keep a lid on it, and their kindness kept me from spilling over. DR folk are amazing.
  14. [video=youtube] This one goes out to Vash Ashford.

  16. [video=youtube] Awesome song, and the video reminded me of when I started larping.
  17. Hello and welcome to the forums! Good to see people migrating to the forums and getting in touch!
  18. I'll be RPing that my room is the captain's quarters of a ship, so it's asking for a little bit of abstraction that no, you totally didn't just walk through a house to get here. As a series, FF doesn't really have much regard for space. You can keep a cottage in a bag. Wherever these games take place, they must have all had some kind of contact with Gallifrey.
  19. HHMMM THAT EVIL KNIGHT LOOKS FAMILIAR Meg, you are a part of that circle of artists that I've hung out with for years and have been insanely jealous of for your skills. There's that whole exchange rate where one of what you do is worth a thousand of what I do. It's good to see you drawing, and Kat has been too. We should totally arrange an art jam where you, Big D, and Kat make awesome art while I sit in the corner wearing a helmet and drool.
  20. Yeah, when Nebbs said that I had a good laugh OOC. Foreshadowing! Dog's being fitted for Magitek legs, but it's a long process. He should be good to go by the next primal hunt.
  21. OK, now I have to watch Drive again. Thanks, guys. That movie was awesome. Ryan Gosling is a total dreamboat. [video=youtube]
  22. S'all good! Oh, I'm sure he'll get over it somehow.
