Eresh would be all over that! I wouldn't be able to join an FC but I'd be game to join a LS and RP over it. Eresh is BIG on research and loves to learn anything she can. Her big thing is ancient cultures and dragons but I could adjust it to cultural preservation and such. If you get a big enough interest and want to move forward with this, feel free to PM or /tell me on either of the characters in the signature line. I think it would be a fun story line to pursue!

Eresh: To kill someone. Even OOC I get jokes about how she's just a little rich girl who would never get her hands dirty or becoming something like an assassin. She doesn't view murder, of any sort, as a good thing. Is it necessary some times, yes, but she's not going to go out of her way to kill. She knows how to defend herself and has, once, had to use it. It's not something she's proud of and would never discuss it unless she felt VERY comfortable with the person.

I feel your pain! I'm still trying to get high enough to make three star items. :frustrated: The four star... it breaks my heart but I probably won't hit that achievement until they come out with five stars. Thanks you to the person who posted how to make the four star items! I'm going to review it and see if I can do it once I get all of my gear melded properly.

The few friends she'd come to know gathered behind her, enjoying their meal and bantering with one another, naturally, about small fortunes gained and lost throughout their various careers. Glancing down at her own coin pouch, she noted its rather emaciated state and sighed. Once again, her eyes sought the horizon and the endless potential that had always seemed just outside her reach. The rough voice of a male miqo'te sounded in her ears, causing them to flick back with amusement. "Heh, what joy is there in this life for us? Those that have the coin make the rules... those without abide by them." Y'azia’s eyes lit up and she turned to pounce on the conversation. "And who is it that says we're not the ones due some coin of our own?" Glancing around at their stunned faces, she pushes onward. "Aren't you all tired of being broke? Off forever scrounging what you can and making something from what little you can put together?" She caught most of the group nodding their heads, even as the auburn haired female named Ereshkigal laughs. "Got a plan to make us a fortune, do you Yaz?" Smirking at her friend, the only one of them that had any coin to spare, Y'azia nodded and laced her fingers behind her head. "Not all of us have rich parents, Eresh. You others have fought and bled for your coin and have gotten nowhere. I say we use the skills we've learned along the way to pay our way, now. Let's gather those of like mind, and build an empire. We'll control the markets by flooding them with product gathered and made by our own hands.... think of it! We could be rich beyond our dreams if we just work together and make it happen!" The icy-eyed male regarded her quietly for a moment; he, and whatshe'd guessed was his mate, were unknowns. Eresh she could count on winning over if her idea seemed sound enough, but could she sell these two on it as well? "Come on, you said it yourself: those with the coin make the rules, right? We could spend our lives paying others for services we could do ourselves, so instead of filling their pockets, we could fill our own." The male miqo’te glanced at the dusky-skinned elezen seated across from him. "What do you think, Zara? Shall we follow this one?" Y'azia met the gaze of the other woman, who in turn studied her calmly for several long moments before answering. "She seems to believe we can accomplish this. I say yes." The pale miqo'te turned his gaze back to Y'azia and nodded. "Seems you've got your first recruits. Don't mess this up." Grinning, Y'azia turned to Eresh, who merely shrugged and nodded her head. Our company was pretty much founded based on the RP above. Our leader and founder, Y'azia Azal, is quite possibly the largest ball of equal parts ambition, intelligence, and charisma that many of us have had the pleasure meeting. It was her idea and insight that set us along this path, and after a brief bit of convincing, got this thing started. What is the Tonberry Trading Troupe you ask? Quite simply we're a merchant/crafting/gathering company that is heavily sprinkled with RP. "Why tonberry?" you ask. That's answered easily enough... what is a tonberry? It's that lil' creature that moves slowly and methodically towards its goal... it doesn't waiver ... it doesn't hesitate. It sets it's sights and moves ever forward towards what it wants... and the Twelve help it when it strikes because it will bring even the strongest among us down a peg or two. So there you go... we took inspiration from one of the most determined creatures in all of Eorzea.... and like them, we march forward to our goals! What sets us apart from the dozens of other newly formed companies out there for you to choose from? Two words... drive and ambition. We don't want just bodies taking up a slot... we want people who desire to earn their way, not simply have it handed to them. Basic Info Characters: EreshkigalAtropos and Adelina Lee Primary character: Ereshkigal Atropos Linkshells: Primary RP linkshell: MyFC linkshell is all I have but I’m looking to advance that a little to be able to include other RP linshells for more RP options. [*] II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I’d say medium for now. I like RP and will happily go whereit calls but I still have to do my “job” within my FC and find time to do some of the end game stuff and level. That being said, typically if I’m asked to RP, I run towards it so if you see me and aren’t sure just send me a /tell. If I can’t RP right then, give me just a few and I should be able to. Views on RP combat and injuries: I’m game for it. I prefer the roll system for RP combat ifwe’re going to have injuries and such but once delivered, I’d play them out and alot an appropriate amount of time for healing and such. Views on IC romance: I’m all for it so long as it stays IC. Romance andrelationships are a part of real life and are a part of my character’s lives. Each character may react differently to advances but it’s not a closed door if the other person is willing to work at it and/or look past the character’s little quirks… *coughs*Brothel owner *coughs* I do prefer for things to unfold naturally. I’m not big on planning the RP but if the other person wants to discuss it OOC, that’s perfectly alright as I know some people want to have an idea of things and others are content to just let the RP take it where it will. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Friendship RP: I’m completely game for. The more friends themerrier! Family RP: All of my characters have a family of some sort.Eresh has a very established family and normally on those I don’t invite others to RP the family characters but I do have one other who is playing a sibling of hers and it’s turning out rather well so I’d be open to others. Eresh’s might be harder to mold since the backstory is so established and I do have another person already a member of her family in game but if you’re willing to work with me and Kiht, I’m open to it. Adelina is a freebie. If someone needs a Lala family member, I’d be game to adapt, mold or come up with things with another person since she only has a basic backstory. Business RP: This is what my FC is about so I’m game for it.Rival business, cooperative business or someone wanting to purchase services from Eresh, merchandise, or Adelina, other, I’m willing to RP it out and work some of the logistics OOC if needed. Views on lore: I try to use andunderstand lore to an extent. This is the first Final Fantasy game I’ve ever played so I’m very new to the lore and really not a big studier. If something is brought to my attention, I’ll do my research as I try to keep my characters in line with the lore associated with the game. If I don’t know something, I’ll look it up and am happy to change something if it’s way off from the lore of the game. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): /em is IC. I’m big on using /em whereas I don’t use theemoticon thingies as much. I’m not used to having them so I don’t think about them here. /say for me is IC unless denoted by ( ). The only linkshell I have is an IC one so I’m always IC if I’m using it. /tell is OOC for me unless otherwise stated or denoted by “ “. Sexuality, not only the act of sex but how one views it and themselves within the spectrum, affects us in real life and thus it makes sense that it would affect our characters as well. That being said, I've thought about how each of my characters would react in different situations from playful flirting to full blown dashing to an inn room. It gives them dimension and makes it fun to play the different aspects within each character. Eresh has been limited in her sexual interactions due to her work coming first. Many a men aren't interested in a woman who spends more of her time in a library or on a dig site than she does with him. Now that her profession has changed and she's spending more time around people, especially one couple within her company, she's beginning to wonder what's out there. Thoughts that really hadn't crossed her mind much before are playing a bigger role in her day to day so it's changing how she views it. I even offered the character to Grace for a little fun just to shake things up and see what happens. Adelina is the complete opposite. Sex is what got her where she is. She's a courtesan and a brothel owner, sex is her business. She can be anyone you want her to be inside of what you pay for but outside of it, she's more untouchable. Sex and relationships don't have the same meaning for her that they do Eresh. It's not emotional for her and she doesn't have the desire for a true relationship because she's secretly afraid it would take everything she's worked so hard for away. As for ERP, I've done it but it isn't a focus of RP for me. Fade to black works just as well most times but sometimes you need that little extra to make a connection or bring the story full circle. So long as the whole thing stays IC, I'm happy and willing to ERP to progress the story.

I have some of the same issues so I understand completely. My character's name is Ereshkigal Atropos. She's a merchant's daughter and currently a Market Director for a company so they might have some things in common. If your character has some really awesome wares, there might even be some haggling involved. Feel free to hit me up in game!
