It doesn't matter how you see it, it only matters who SE presents the class in the context of the game. Paladins in XIV aren't holy, and they're already plenty corruptible now that you mention it the Japanese Version of XIV Paladin are named Knight.

well i see Dark knight as a Corrupted Paladin it would be Tempting for a Paladin to Fall into Darkness AKA do a Reverse Cecil.

At this point, I am also planning to move my character out of Sworn and Ul'dah's business. I've been really pushing about how I want to have my character do like a coup de tat city riot after hearing some news, and plan to have her be banished from Ul'dah for good with her being chased by Blades in Thanalans while running away. Technically, at this point - Sworn is unofficially dead. Since they don't know what to do. Maybe perhaps it's probably for the best to have all paladins move up to be Ishgard's knights (after all, Paladin in Japanese really meant Knight in FF14 from the start) Maybe or Maybe not.

Well for Cyneler Being Sultansworn he would be left in the Dark about the truth but if he started Snooping around to find the truth He would most likely be Silenced by assassins for knowing too much.
