Thank you for the NDA reminder! And the link! But basically, I am trying to research all the different plants. I don't want to limit her teas to literally being made only from tea leaves. Like... Memory serving me, there are random plants like Blue Landtrap Leaves somewhere. Maybe she can make tea out of that, I dunno, haha. Then again, I suppose I could use Eorzeapedia or something. ; ; Totally slipped my mind. I thought this would be a bit more fun for everyone, though.

I've been developing a tea-shop owner of a character, and I was hoping I could get some help from you other users! I'll be poking at botany and other harvesting to gather more information when the game is fully released, but I know it's unlikely I'll be able to gather /all/ of the information I want to right away. SO. Your quest, should you choose to accept it: What plants are you picking up during your gathering? I want to have a bit of fun with this tea shop and make up blends based on things you can actually find in-game. [Also the shop still needs a name so if you have any suggestions. It's a tea shop-slash-small inn.] Just to Clarify; Just to put any minds at ease, I'm speaking from a 1.0 standpoint right now. I'm not referencing Beta/Alpha at all. However I do intend to gather what plants and such that I can when the game is live (or at least the NDA is lifted), but for now I was just hoping people could tell me what plants and foods they've found or crafted in their 1.0 days.

Used my real one, personally. While I do love my characters and stuff, who's to say they won't die or something (in an IC sense) or for whatever reason I end up not playing them? So I figure this is better.

Well, I've been really wanting to give my Songstresschickthing a [somewhat heavier] Scottish accent. But my main concern was if that was lore breaking or not? As in...the fact that it's "Scottish" and there are no exactly "Scottish areas" in the game/lore.

You can't stop my brain. Anywho. It's a simpleish quickie one that I'd been wondering before, but noone really gave me a set answer on. Accents? I know a lot of characters in the game as it is have a sort of "Pirate" thing going on. I admit I don't know what 'culture/country' if any that would apply to in the real world. But what about other accents? Like do you think it's okay and within reason for some characters to have, say, a cockney accent? Scottish? Irish? etc.

I've been wondering about some things again- I know, dangerous, right? But I just wanted to poke at it with everyone, as it involves general RP etiquette, I guess, and I know everyone here is much different than previous communities that I have been a part of. I feel kind of like it's a "stupid question," but then again, the only stupid ones are the ones that go unasked! So here goes. I know most people seem to just follow the general storyline that's in the game (to a degree). Everyone's against the Garleans, everyone's affected by Dalamud, everyone seems to set on that storyline, and I know that's part of the game and lore, so that's all good. But what about player stories/arcs? I don't mean this as in creating a story and ignoring the game's, but more-so a little sub-plot in comparison to the larger over-world plot? Not huge ones or anything, but not necessarily as small as some love scandal, either. Is that generally acceptable? Do people avoid it? Where I've come from in RP communities, everything (including the "main" and "overworld" plot) was entirely player created. So to come to a game that actually has an already existing plotline, I'm not sure where the boundary lies. Thank you!

I'm only gonna do free stuff for now. My last paid commission(s) are taking so long, I feel really guilty. Sure. =] I have my songstress lady I'm working on. I could use art of her that is not mine. When I finish her concept sketch, I will send it your way.

I can't even begin with how wrong K'aworu's /entire/ name apparently is, lol. But it's kind of fun either way. I'm not sure if I'll rename or rework his name according to this new lore or not. What about you guys?

I think K'aworu would be interested in this! Granted, he was teleported, but once he arrives back into things, I think he could use some new friends. Exploration and learning is one of his favorite hobbies. Gotta love dat lore.

I got your references, Ryanti. =] Just keep in mind (everyone) who is expecting a freebie request; they could take a while. Also I updated the image list with a new picture of E'iri, who's been renamed to K'aworu. It was a random style practice.

I've been trying my best to kind of... Well, I'm not 100% sure on a lot of naming traditions for most races, except "Miqote sunseekers usually have an apostrophe after the first letter" and something about Moonkeeper names being short. 2-3 syllables at most. But otherwise, I have nooo idea. So I've been just kind of like, picking a name I like (Take K'aworu for example). His name started out as Kaoru, but I didn't really want a straight up Japanese name, personally. So I kind of mussed with the spelling a bit [may or may not have had inspiration from Neon Genesis Evangelion]. Added necessary apostrophe, and poof! It still sounds..appropriate. And I still got what I wanted. It's still even pronounced Kaoru, really.
