Okay so... I mean it's not a question specifically to the lore or the game or anything, but sort of just RP in general (and I figured I'd ask here since this is the only place I've roleplayed in like 2 years). I'm having difficulty just like... "getting in" to things. Not as in my interest is low, but I'm sort of just having issue trying to join in on something or involving myself, which kind of frustrates me because I feel like it should be much simpler than my mind is making it. Despite having a couple of people directly involved with my character, he's still not really doing anything. And then recently I asked for RP partners and friends in this forum, and I got a good response from a lot of you, but then I don't know what to say to anyone because I don't really have any ideas for plotlines or our own arcs or anything of that nature. I'm not sure if I'm just shy or I'm still that awkward with people, or maybe I'm just an unimaginative moron. But I was hoping for any advice on the matter. Thank you.

I have two sunseekers, neither of which use traditional naming. My first is a male who goes by K'aworu Rhea, which Rhea was his mother's last name. Technically, his last name should be Tia, or even Nuhn considering he and his mother lived alone and thus could be considered their own tribe. However! Due to some specific reasons in his upbringing, he adopted using his mother's surname, which is actually a Moonkeeper trait. (He has since found closer family and now adopted their last name, Demiir, for his own reasons.) The second one I have is Venalis Drocell. He wasn't raised among any other traditional miqote at all. He was born in Ala Mhigo! So I think it really just depends on what you want. I know a lot of people who pick unconventional names simply because they don't like the lore ones, which is fine, and then a lot of people who make up specific stories and reasons behind it. I know that most people I know are actually 1.0 players and none of this information had been made available until earlier this year. So the fact was that most of them just weren't going to ret-con and change their names (understandably) and muss up 2-years worth of roleplaying. Either way, RP is about having fun and enjoying your character. =] Do what you want~

What size and format does it need to be? I can try my best to do something. If you are just wanting a grindstone, it shouldn't be too bad.

This is pretty~ A nice change, too. I am so used to hearing Vocaloid covers from Rockleetist (Not a bad thing, either!) I really like it.

I'd be happy to RP with all of you! ;o;/ I have three characters, if anyone wants to do some reading up on them. K'aworu, Venalis, and Ophelia.

I had no idea so many people were so eager to RP with me. ;; I have to wait until Friday to renew my subscription, so I can't RP in-game until then. But, if you guys are open to it (or just want to chat), you can add me on skype? My username is "Eirirhea". I'd be happy to plot stuff.

As soon as I finish all of these remaining orders (or at least get to a point where I feel okay to accept more), I will take more commissions. Thank you for the nice compliments!

Maybe I'm just out of the loop or some such, but I'd like to get more RP than I'm really getting recently, with my character K'aworu (wiki link in signature). I'm not sure how to go about it here other than asking "are there some people I can RP with" and joining stories and what not. /casually goes back under rock

The way this was explained to me is... Necessarily speaking, being a white mage doesn't mean you can't work for the empire. But the powers you are granted are to be used "for good" in the sense that you are not supposed to harm another person with white magic, lest the elementals/etc. get kind of pissed at you and you end up leaving their good graces.

I was curious if there was a list of who plays who in the English version? A friend and I keep hearing some voices going "Hm that sounds like X from Y" but we weren't sure.

I like this idea. I would gladly take part in it.

I haven't really RPed much at all. Just once for a few minutes. Mostly it's been done over a linkpearl, but I feel a bit conflicted. A fair amount of the groups have been RPing in higher level areas that I have no hope of getting to without being level 50 already, but both of my classes are only lv20 =\ I don't mind the outfits part so much. I can probably wing it as to why he's wearing a mustard yellow tabard with relish-green mittens that make him look like a personified hot dog.

Hello all. Just wanted to thank everyone for their patience. It means a lot! I'm going to be doing my best to get these pushed out as quickly as I can.

Precisely! This is how I feel on it. However, I think if people can figure out a way to include it and make it (logically) work, then more power too them.

I once noticed how many K-names of seekers filled our Wiki and originally had thought something similar to the opening post of this thread. "It's interesting," I thought, "This would mean they're all technically from the same tribe, no?" But that's not necessarily the case. Though technically they are part of the K (Hipparion) namesake, their clans are still split up among different tribes throughout Eorzea (primarily the Shrouds, from what I remember). So, while it's entirely okay for two K-tribe members to meet and just be like "What up, Hipparion represent," it doesn't necessarily mean they are part of or were brought up in the same exact tribe. (Plus there are members, such as my character K'aworu, who were not brought up with their tribe at all, for other story related reasons.) Edit: I think I should clarify for myself, too. I see that the idea is for a K-tribe. How do you guys intend on making this work? (I am genuinely curious! <3) Do you plan on automatically assuming that any Miqote with a K-related name has heritage within your tribe? Apologies if this was already brought up or explained. For only six pages of responses, it was getting pretty lengthy to catch up on. I also want to note this was only directly in response to the original/OP question of the thread! Totally voted for the wrong server, I meant to pick Balmung. Just saying.

I, personally, divide IG from IC. Ophelia, more or less, is an in-progress songstress (or Bard, as the game refers). To be a bard in the actual gameplay, you need levels beneath conjury and archery. Neither suits her though and don't make any sense whatsoever to include in her history/abilities. (Maybe archery one day...). So, she's a bard/songstress, but doesn't include the game mechanics of requiring either of the two classes. However, this is just my personal take on it. The stance on this subject seems to vary greatly from person to person. So, the short of it really is that you can do what you want for it. If you were a bard, you're more than welcome to somehow incorporate those two classes. On the other hand, you're also more than welcome not to. As Mr. Bear put it, it's alright to do either, as long as you don't go overpowered/godmod with it. I kind of just follow the golden RP rule of "Don't be a dick."

Yes and no. It's nothing to do with your graphics card or anything like that, if that's what you're primarily worried about. Basically, your (internet) connection is just having a hard time sending/receiving the information from the servers. (Just to clarify the earlier post for you. )

Not sure why it looks squished buuuuut. Clicking should bring up the full pic I think? If not: http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/5743/iyv4.png

I'm not sure if I missed a post or not but I want to let people know that if you are not Legacy or you do not have access to Early Access it won't let you patch. Just throwing that out there before anyone gets confused or anything like that. You have to wait until the 27th to do it.

Oh, well crap. I didn't realize you guys had already gone through the entire alphabet once. I'll be sure to check better next time. My apologies. U is for Ultima(te) Weapon?

T is for Terra Branford!

That surprises me. I also wants to know how you know, with the limit cap being 20! They did show 3 kinds of carbys didn't they? In a letter? Even though the level cap was 20, you could still see all of the skills up to lv50 you'll eventually get for the class you currently are in your Actions & Traits menu. There's also this wiki. Not to hijack, but I was checking out that link and found myself poking at the Summoner page. Maybe I missed something in one of the newer letters...but I only see the Ifrit Egi on the page? Wasn't there Shiva and others in one of the letter videos?
