Alright, before I get down to stuff for the newer RPC members I would like to be very firm and point out some things: Last year I had commissions open as well. There are only a couple left to finish, and that's why I'm wanting to start taking orders on new ones. However, there was actually a handful of people who paid for art and then basically fell off the face of the Earth. I don't know if you changed IG names or what, but even then, they have not been present on the RPC nor on Skype or any other form of contact. That being said, if you are one of these people (and I am sure you know who you are), I need you to PM me the references you wanted and I never got, along with the name that appears on your Paypal so I know nobody is going to scam. As it stands, the people I do still have information from and will be completing soon are Val, Miya Sha and Aysun. Now onto newer users and what not: Money basically goes to my living expenses right now. Food, etc. Because, well, basically I have none. I'm nervous about posting for commissions here, but here goes. My process is pretty simple. You order -> You send money on paypal -> I draw your order. I only accept Paypal at the moment, and in USD. So please convert your currency appropriately. I will only have 5 orders total at a time. I will also add: I'm not good at drawing metal armor or weapons. I will do my best, but consider this a sort of 'warning' about it. I am willing to do a character sheet that includes a back, front, pseudo-nude and facial expressions. That's fine with me! K'aworu knows all about glamours and what not, he won't judge. And yes, I've been trying to poke about lore to see if I could put together any items that might be haywire (beit seriously or for comical reasons), so I'd be more than happy to collaborate on that. ^ ^ Thank you for posting!

It's been a little while since I've really had much RP on him, and in that time it looks like a lot of people have moved on with their RP, or even quit the game. Stuff like that. I'm not sure what all to say, so here is his wiki: http://wiki.ffxiv-roleplayers.com/pages/K%27aworu_Demiir He sort of a has a plot in the works, but it isn't really anything detrimental at the moment and probably won't be taking place very soon at all. He's not as shy anymore. Granted, he's still slightly stand off-ish, but is much more willing to just go out and have a conversation with others. Sometimes he's a little cranky, I think he's still going through his rebellious teenage phase. Recently I had made a post about opening up a sort of "haunted objects/curious things" shop and a lot of people seemed interested. So instead of making a whole new character for it, I'm going to sort of NPC that character as the owner, and K'aworu is one of the employees there, so.. there's that. He's a scholarly type and prides himself on his healing and hearer abilities. Most often can be found with his nose shoved in some kind of book. Even though he "works" at this little shop, he's very available to go out on adventures and what not with your character(s), should that be the interest. Especially considering his dreams/goals are to become a sort of 'master' healer and historian. Errr. I think that's it? I look forward to hearing from people. K'aworu Demiir - He prefers flat, hard surfaces to sleep on and really, really dislikes mattresses. He also likes to hide in cupboards. He is allergic (though not lethally) to chocolate. He also has a severe weakness for well built builds and is distracted very, very easily by them. Ophelia de Winter - She's terrified of heights, regardless of what she says. "English" (Eorzean, whatever) is not her first language and sometimes she has issues putting together the proper words that she means. She speaks with a fairly heavy Scottish accent. She uses dancing as a form of combat and one time it lead to her punting a small tonberry like a football.

I wasn't expecting such a nice reaction! It sounded fun to do, now I'm a bit more excited to do it. Unfortunately, Balmung was closed when I attempted to make him, so maybe if I try again right after maintenance.

I was being encouraged to create a character that I almost made around launch time and just... didn't, I guess. But his concept and idea was focused around some things I'm not 100% sure exist. He basically would have owned a 'curious oddities' shop. Selling talismans, "haunted" items, that sort of stuff. But I'd always wondered if I could perhaps take it a small step further and have him actually sell spells or curses or anything? I wasn't sure if something like that existed in lore, I'm only familiar with a straight up white/black mage take on magic. So I wanted to poke around and find out if more 'witchcraft'-esque type things existed.

I have to agree with Tiergan on this. There are pros and cons to both. That being said (since they've already posted my thoughts), I will say I do kind of prefer digital when it comes to most types of things. I like that I can undo and paint over something. Saves me a lot on paper. I don't like it for things like watercolors, though. Try as a PC might, it hasn't successfully been able to mimic a real nice watercolor look (or copic).

Im glad! That was my main worry. Ive met many who take the game very very literally lately instead of allowing a bit of flexibility (within reason).

I had made on in connection to paying tribute to the lives lost in the Calamity, based on a real world festival. However, because it is not something canon in Eorzea, so I was wondering if it would be accepted well by players or not? I could see how it could be vague like "I read that this was done in a land far from here" or something, but so far thats the only way I could imagine it "working." Thoughts?

I still have a few commissions to finish for people (that are actually really, really late because of dumb life stuff). But once I get those done I'd planned to open up commissions again.

Absolutely! I know Aleport isn't everyone's cup of tea (hurr hurr), so I'm more than happy to have people perform or do their thing on a one-night-one-event basis.

Ophelia's tea-tavern, "The Ballad's Rest" is now hiring! This small Aleport-located tavern prides itself on a warm, admittedly very floral atmosphere. Don't let it's dainty appearance fool you, however! It serves the sweetest teas to the hardest liquor, providing a warm place of rest for sailors and adventurers alike! I am looking for waiters and performers. Its pretty simple/basic! Your basic duties will be to assist and serve patrons, or to perform on stage. Bartenders are also welcome. Thank you! I'm not sure if some of it (IE the raffle/minions) would be a constant thing. Just sort of a 'big event' for the first opening. I've been working on getting the teahouse setup for a month or so now, so I guess I'm just really excited about it being open. I had a friend also suggest story telling too, which wouldn't be a far stretch considering Phelia is a bard/songstress, herself. Thank you for the input!

Thanks for the input! I'm curious more towards things like... performances for the stage, raffles, that sort of thing. A friend was suggesting a small talent night/show, or story telling. I more than welcome people's activism and such if that's what you want to rp, but I'm not sure Ophelia would host something like that at the moment? (Mainly because I want to start off small. I've never hosted an event before.) Edit: These were some posting/ideas that I'd made in a tumblr post. -I thought of maybe doing a small raffle that involved minions. Maybe 3-4 (granted they wont be the most expensive, most rare ones or anything). - I also thought about doing a gil raffle as well for people who wanted to buy a ticket, then the potluck would be divided between a first and second prize (maybe a third?) [Actual gil, though not a ton and not obligated.] - I thought the teahouse might provide a good opportunity for people who’d like to work there, to be hired. Please don’t hesitate to send me a message on here (contaminatedhope), on the RPC (Kaoru), or in-game (Ophelia De’winter). - There is a stage in the teahouse for small performances, so I thought maybe a small talent night or some such would be fun? - The teahouse is also open to affiliating with other IC restaurants and such, too!

I finally have Ophelia's teahouse set up via my personal room at my FC house and I'd really love to host a grand opening event, maybe even weekly or monthly events too. But I don't want it to be "just a typical teahouse/tavern" sort of rp. So I wanted to get feedback from you guys on what you think would be fun? It has a stage for performances, but beyond that, I'm at a bit of a loss. I've never hosted an event before at all and I don't want it to be a bust. Funny you should mention it, I was curious about making some sort of connection to S'imba, considering I noticed most people in that group were fist fighters and that is Ophelia's prime talent, but I didn't want to step on any toes and all. SO. I mean, if I'm not, I'd love to hang out with him! @Erik (Sorry it wouldn't let me multiquote) I'm not sure. She had/has a teahouse but it's not in the Shroud. It's in Aleport (technically speaking. I am trying to save for a personal room to turn into a little teahouse.)
