I didn't get one either, but I have heard of several people (in the last phase) who did. I'm not 100% sure if maybe there was a specific prerequisite (such as getting to a certain point in the storyline or something) or not, though. I'd say your best bet would be to wait until we can get on the beta forums and ask there. D: I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I love to cook, personally. I don't know any fancy recipes by heart, though. I love to just kind of make things as I go along. It drives my sister mad sometimes, and she gets jealous she said. She's the culinary student, and she thinks my cooking is better than hers. I feel flattered! ...It definitely looks uuuuugly though, lol. I should work more on presentation. But, flavor first!

I don't know if this is something, but a lot of sites that are doing the code giveaways are saying (in their disclaimer) that the Beta3 ends on July 14th?

In my personal experience, it's just something I've kind of..run with, I guess. I don't USUALLY say anything myself, unless someone else says it first. IE: I leave the weather kind of just out of it until someone else says it's chilly, and then I'd be like "Wow yeah totally." I think it's just really subjective between each player.

I was kind of playing in the creator, and while I know features don't really vary by that much between the Miqo'te clans in appearance, I was kind of noticing that for some reason (maybe the big pupils gave it sort of a doll-like image to me), the Male Moon Keeper version of K'aworu looked more..accurate? than his Seeker-made version. Now, Seeker would be more accurate, technically speaking. But if (for whatever reason) the Keeper looks more appropriate, is it okay to just make him as one, since his wiki makes sure to inform you he is a Seeker and such? Just wanted to gather opinions on it.

So...ever since I was a wee lass, I've always been the healy type. Or at least some sort of caster. But mostly a healer. It's been no different in XIV, as I've been a Conjurer about 99% of my time playing it. So..I wanna try being a pugilist, and I think it looks pretty fun. But it's sort of tank-y right? I have no idea how to be that kind of a useful player. Could I please have advice for pugilist play? (and maybe Thaumaturge and Archer).

Technically, I only have one skipper and two non. But seeing as the skipper is my "main" character, I voted that way. BUT LET THE RECORD SHOW. I have two non-skippers.

In my personal experience, IG isn't always equal to IC. So, depending on your priorities, you have a couple options (most of which, I think people have already touched up on). If it's more important to you to have your IG-ness start in Gridania, start out as a Conjurer/Lancer/Archer, and play through 'til level 15-16, when you can access all the cities. If the job is more important to you, go ahead and start as a Marauder in Limsa. After all, it won't be very obvious in game where you really started from, from an RP standpoint. On your wiki, you can still easily write that your character is from Gridania. Just my opinion on the matter.

So, I was talking to a couple people and I was just sort of wondering, and wanted to see people's opinions on alt characters. And I mean like..for actual RPing and stuff. Some communities I've been in hate them, some don't really care. I just wondered where people on the RPC stood? If a person can balance them well and keep track of them, do you think it is okay? Or should people just stick to one? Personally, I have been having difficulty- I don't really want to make people avoid me, or feel uncomfortable or something. But it's tricky, and difficult. I have multiple ideas, and they can't all be squashed onto just one character, y'know? Some things just don't mesh. So yeah. What's the general opinion of you guys? (I mean, not as a group. But each person.)

I don't know if I literally have a theme song for them, mostly because I feel guilty when I pick them, haha. But I do have a lot of songs that are very "This puts me in a so-and-so mood" For Ophelia..it's a tossup between several songs. For K'aworu though,

To touch up on what Merri said, though (and I hope it's okay), it might be wise to kind of let other people know if you're making it canon or non-canon. Person A might interact with Person B, but Person A might see it canon, and Person B might not. So at least in the end, at least Person A is aware that Person B won't actually be present in Person A's journal or whatever, because Person B doesn't want it to be canon.
