Excellent! I should have the wiki done for it sometime tonight. I'm working on it literally as we speak. I'm going to edit the first post with positions that I'm looking for.

There are no time restrictions to work there. The place itself is an inn and teahouse/tavern, so it's open 24/7. So it's more or less just "RP with anyone who is on at the same time as you, as you see fit" I hope that makes sense. @A'rytiss; She travels off and on, so there would be a chance he'd hear either by word of mouth or some sort of flier. I also have a linkpearl to make finding one another/communicating for RP easier.

Well, uh. To be quite frank, I was working on posting the wiki entry for Ophelia's tea-tavern, Ballad's Rest. Then I realized she has no player character employees at all. The place I've been using in game for it is located in Aleport. It's a little more upscale than your usual tavern, but rest assured, everyone is welcome. The place itself is home to tea, booze, and other questionable consumables. Aside from that, Ophelia likes to preform as a dancer/songstress (instruments of choice being her voice and a lyre/harp). I was hoping I could find other players who would be interested in working there and mingling? Edit: I'm looking for the following positions: - Entertainers (in the form of dancers, bards, etc.) - Waiters/Waitresses - Tradesmen/women (Those who go out looking for new flavors and such) I will also, in the near-ish future, be looking for a sort of secondary manager. Poor Ophelia can't run the whole shebang on her own! *Disclaimer: I like to stick close to the lore, but I don't mind bending it a bit. That being said, I don't really have any issues if you're a bard and your songs come from another Final Fantasy or an anime or something. But please don't say you're friends with or learned it from Yuna or something. I don't really like intermingling the games together. Thank you for understanding. You are not bound or forced to be at the location 24/7. Your own plots and things are important and I encourage you to go out and run them. Your character won't be fired or anything, just make sure you let me know if they're gone for any period of time.

I know there used (?) to be one for the RPC, but I wasn't sure if it was still really active. But my primary curiosity was wondering if there was still just a generalized RP linkshell (on Balmung)? I know lots of groups are split off into their guild specific ones, that are IC, stuff like that. I know I have a lot of smaller ones for my RP FC's and guilds, but again, was just curious about if there was still a generalized one were OOC banter was around and people could use it to find RP a bit easier?

Not ex-garleans or anything. I mean like... currently still loyal to the Garlemald system and such. I have a character who was part of it and went AWOL, but was recently (against his will) recaptured and such. I have ideas and such, but I wanted to find other Garlean players. Feel free to send a PM if you don't want to post publicly.

I can't thank everyone in this thread enough. Literally all the information and help in this helped fill in a looot of holes and things in my ideas, and I'm so excited to get things going!

Thank you. I played (some) of 1.0, but I have never been sure just how much of it's lore/story has carried over. I do remember the rituals with Dunstan and perhaps I can draw off of that. And! I do remember Sylphie in the CNJ story, but I hadn't realized that's exactly was THM does. I think I kind of like that twist.

That is my plan, soon. The hair painting process is still pretty tricky for me, so I've just been focusing on speed-paint type headshots. It's a nice exercise, too. I usually get so hung up on minute details, and it's helpful to do this.

I admit I'm a little hesitant because what he does is very important to him. He was born in the Shroud, so it's very important. It's his home, y'know? All he's really known are the Elements/Elementals, etc. So I'm kind of worried about having a plot that would literally rip that away from him, but at the same time I'm feeling like it would be interesting? Would it be impossible for him to get back into good graces and be able to pick up conjury/succor again after the entire plotline was said and done? (Or even possibly be a second arc, him trying to get his goodies back)

It's been kind of a while since I've on the RPC, my older threads have been lost to the dawn of time so I'm making a new one. I don't know much to say... I used to take commissions, but I've dialed that back considering I got so many last time that I'm still finishing the last of them. (And I can only thank everyone's patient a thousand times over). I don't plan on posting the list again here, as most of them are being taken care of privately. Anyway, for now, this is just a random art post thread... thing? I will be totally honest in that I actually end up kind of disappointed in a lot of my own things, but I think that might be par for the course with most artists and their work? I debated a void-sent thing, but I admittedly have worried if that would rub players the wrong way? I know void-sent are part of the lore and totally exist, but are most players okay with it being used in RP?

Oh yes, thank you! I think my wording was a little off. I know the Elementals/hearing have nothing to do with the casting directly. I only included the information in case it was relevant to what I was looking for. ;o; Sorry for the confusion! I was told that they would 'foresake' you if you used your conjury negatively, which I always assumed would mean you could no longer borrow from them when you did heal. Like.. they wouldn't let you or something. The main general idea I was looking to have with this character was that, because he's experienced being accused as weak (and on top of this, several failed attempts at relationships sort of "enforcing" the idea, in his head) that he might use his love and thirst for knowledge to empower himself. But that perhaps he gets a little too obssessed? I was trying to find possible ways that it, essentially, would make him go a little nuts and perhaps "evil" in a sense, as a result. (I hope that makes more sense. The more I re-read my original post the more I'm trying to figure out wtf I was on)

Potential spoilers ahead if you haven't done the THM questline, as some examples I use are from it. So, I've been sort of trying to formulate a plot. Please forgive me if I sort of fumble in explanation or anything, I've never really done it before, and I'm nervous. I wanted to gather information first. Please also be advised that the RP I do sticks close to the lore, as much as I can (though willing to bend slightly, if it's able). I only say this disclaimer because I know some people go a little willy-nilly on stuff. On to stuff! My character is a bit obsessed with learning what he can. Combined with some recent events (broken heart, being accused of being weak, other smallish things), I thought it might be likely enough that he could go overboard with it. I think it would be very likely, given his personality and the like, that he would overobsess about proving himself... like. Not weak. Normally, his primary skill is conjury. He's become a pretty decent healer and on top of this, is a hearer. However, some psychological issues from years past have resulted in him mistaking not-so-sane voices for the Elemental ones. This is besides the point, really, but it could be useful I thought. My main question, I guess (I am sorry, I ramble), is like... What is the possibility of him going a little aether/magic crazy? I know that for the most part, it's not necessarily an easy thing to use conjury powers for evil (maybe..Water? Or..something. I guess he can drown someone with it), but I also know that if you do somehow do that, that the Elementals would foresake you and that you could no longer borrow from their life force. This brings me to what I sort of remember about the THM questline. I do remember the youngest sibling at the Ossuary going a little nuts because he was accused constantly of being the weakling and being useless. I wanted to know, what would be paths that my character could take to reach a similar point? He doesn't necessarily know anyone of the "evil sort" or anything, so I don't know that he could necessarily be tainted so easily, which is okay actually, because in my head I sort of think it's something he would have brought upon himself? No, I don't want him tempered. Because if you become tempered, you are literally sentencing yourself to an early death. I know that is the only way to cure it- so that is out of the question. I'm sorry for the kind of mess this post is. I know what I want, and at the same time, I'm wandering around in the dark as for a means of how to get there. Edit: Afterthought too but if someone wouldn't mind explaining how and why aether poisoning happens, I'd appreciate it.

Okay so like... I haven't been necessarily and totally absent from the XIV universe. I've been doing my best to level and what not, but I guess I've been a little lacking in the RP aspect, and I really want to get K'aworu involved in things if I could. (I admit straight up that I am socially awkward and I have a hard time directly approaching people.) I'm not entirely sure what all to post here other than that I'm just trying to find RP for K'aworu. I don't mind so much if it isn't for RP or anything, but, my current FC I just kind of joined because a friend asked me. But they don't do anything or talk... It's kind of lonely playing. My handle is Ophelia De'Winter in-game. I'm a lv37 BLM (i'll eventually do other jobs, too! If needed, I have a Lv38 scholar alt as well) Just a fun group that does stuff and chats a lot?
