I've been meaning to ask for a while because I've never really seen this touched up on in game or anything, so I want to know the effects for my character. As most people know, K'aworu is a conjurer/healer and a hearer. However, he's also become voidtouched in more recent times. So straight to the point: I wanted to know if him being voidtouched effects his connection with the elementals? I remember being told before that stuff like using the white magic for evil will cause them to cut you off, forsake you. (this was a long long while ago, not sure of validity) Like, will they forsake him until he's healthy? Will he have greenswrath until he's healthy? etc. etc. Thank you for you time.

Well K'awo doesn't sing, but Ophelia is a songstress and performer! I actually use Kate Covington for her singing voice and have a few of her videos posted to Ophelia's wikipedia. The only slight variation is that Ophelia has a Scottish accent, but I guess whenever I hear people from other countries sing, I hardly hear their accent anymore. So, I dunno on that part, haha. Hi guys. I wanted to offer the same as I've offered in the other thread! It might help a bit. Try using World-alerts.com If you put in your email and pick a server, it will email you literally the very second the world becomes open. (Had to do this to make an alt on Excalibur) (I apologize, that's all I have to offer and not an actual discussion ;n; Wanted to help!)

I posted a separate thread but I wanted to add here, you guys should give World-alerts.com a shot. Put in an email and it'll alert you the second your chosen server opens up, that way you're not left to play "maybe maybe not" with SE's junk. I used to think Excalibur was never open for my alt, turns out it's just usually open at the ass crack of dawn in my timezone. Hope this helps.

This is more gameplay related probably but, I noticed most threads about the servers not being open are in the RP section. So I thought this would help! I had a hard time waiting for Excalibur to open to make an alt to play with some friends. http://www.world-alerts.com/ You can have it email you, text you, etc. Just pick a server and fill in the info. (I prefer texts because I am perpetually glued to my cell phone). I am not sure if anyone has posted this, I didn't see anything. So, I hope it provides assistance for you guys.

To cut right to the chase! I'd really like Ophelia's staff at the teahouse to be actual IC people. The teahouse itself is located in Aleport and has a very.. nature-y feel to it. (A lot of Ophelia inspirations come from any and everything celtic!) But, I'd like to have waiters, performers, and maybe a bartender of some kind? It's a small place, at the moment I only have been using my personal room for a physical RP location, but eventually I'm hoping to upgrade to a small or medium house. One day... It also has an inn attached to it, so if you'd like, there is an inn keeper/receptionist sort of position, too! Your characters will be paid ICly, rest assured! Plus, Ophelia is very friendly! She'd be happy to be a longterm connection! A fiery, iddy biddy sunseeker-midlander mix with both sass and a motherly-like quality to those in need. I pretend its in Ul'dah, because Aya goes to teahouses there all the time, and would never even find herself in Aleport :-X I hope that's alright! Whatever you do with it, I just want you to know that its been an appreciated spot :-] Everyone I've taken there is always like, "What a great idea! Its so cute!" I dont' really mind it, no. Feel free, if no one is in there. But if I do have events or something or other people are using it as it's actual location, that's gonna take IC precedence. That's all!

Wow okay so multi-quote won't work for me for some reason, so here goes. @Aya: Technically the IC location is Aleport The FC I'm in just happens to have their house in the Goblet. I'm really happy you like the spot! @Jancis: I like the idea of providing a playlist. How do you do about performances though? I always figure performers (if needed) just link their video references to their song in an ((OOC Post)) kind of thing. So I guess everyone would just pause their playlist or something, yeah? Also, I like the idea of the tea-tastings. She actually does provide on her menu, you can order any of her teas (or other drinks) and request additions in the form of potion, mana potion, or even infuse the teas with fruity flavors or alcohol. I do want to do holidays and namedays, but haven't quite yet. I figured the grand opening event should probably come first (I was hoping to get it done before Valentoines, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to or not. Unless I do the grand opening /on/ Valentoines, haha.) A Valentine's event in my head was similar to your tea party suggestion. Everyone coming in their best and most frilly gear. I bought several (4) of the tea sets to add to the room, along with a couple dishes to have on the tables for good looks haha. But I mean anyone is more than welcome to rent out the teahouse for something if they like (for IC gil, not real gil. I know not all RPers have that kind of income) Maybe a blind date night event? Or like Nebbs suggested, a "Lonely Hearts Night." I know a lot of people OOCly have a hard time meeting other people. So a singles night could be super fun. I thought of doing a minion giveaway, and I wanted to do one of the fancier ones, but to be honest I have no idea which ones people like, haha. I thought about the little bear, maybe. I know there are several people who, at least gameplay wise, don't get a chance to get some of the minions, even if they are kinda cheap. Though I'm not sure how to work a pet giveaway in IC-ly, lol. I like a lot of the suggestions as future events, but I do wonder just about what to do during a normal, un-themed event. Performances is the only thing to come to mind. Maybe a drinking game or something if I can think of one (I like to avoid Kings Game though, it seems to be the go-to game and most people sort of die off and don't want to play it after a turn or two). Well, ever since I made Ophelia's teahouse using my private room, I've always intended to have a sort of grand opening event to help sort of get it out there and stuff, but never had the time or chance to. Since then, I don't think anyone has still used it (despite it being in my personal room for the sake of having a physical location, it is technically located in Limsa). So... I wasn't sure how to go about it, I guess. Mostly, I mean, I asked for opinions around the FFXIV RP community on tumblr and the general consensus I got was "have something to do instead of just leaving people to sit around and talk and fend for themselves" kind of thing. So, I thought about maybe getting performers if they wanted to do that or something. I thought about a minion giveaway too (nothing super special I think, the prices have shot up considerably since I last tried to plan this). So I was hoping anyone else could give ideas. I'm not sure what else to include or do. I have -never- run an event before either. Thank you for your time.

I also play a Midlander-Seeker mix, she's still young and perhaps getting polite sympathy but other Miqo'te seem to either think it a shame and judge her mother or be fine with it. Lore wise, it can, will and has happened. I will say there are many females of all races upset they can't keep a handsome Nunh locked down, haha. As for Lalafell, clearly they aren't child-like nor necessarily chaste according to the NPCs here in there. If fact, my retainer is a cute Lalafell that apparently has women to be rolling about with and seems irritated to be bothered. Yeah, unfortunately I've seen it and heard of it happening. I've just been lucky so far, I guess. Though, the character I have that is of mixed race is fairly insecure about it. Thankfully her partner is a non-tribal Miqo himself and doesn't seem to care. ;-;

I'm sorry this wont be the most informative answer but I've been doing something similar and nobody has really told me it's a bad thing to do. My character is a more natural-born healer and hearer, but opted (because he's nerdy) to try and learn thaumaturgy simply because he likes to learn new junk. Then this stuff with the void happened and.. well, ahem. I don't think it's impossible, but I think it is important to make sure you read into both lorepaths and be aware of any consequences. Like, using mine as an example again: I'm fairly sure by the end of this, he at the very least might end up with some greenswrath (Not 100% sure yet as the plot is not conclusive yet). But if he does, I know that's gonna flub up not only his gifts as a hearer, but being able to borrow from nature for his healing. At least, that's how I've come to understand it... I'd love to be corrected too if anyone knows better. ;

I like to think there's a nice bit of entertainment in the "will they or won't they?" approach, myself. I also don't really like rushing relationships either - it's so much better when you let it grow organically and have events and markers that signal how the relationship formed. Even something as being able to recall where your first date was at is a nice talking piece, even if you don't end up staying with them. But some folks just want to get to the nitty-gritty. Which is their own choice, I suppose... as long as they don't try to force it upon others or shame them for not doing the same. Agreed. I don't really judge if people do want to rush it and just get straight to things. I just don't really like taking that course. My main issue with any of it though is when you're like... OOCly avoided and singled out in a negative light just because you don't want to. Like you're some kind of no-fun zone.
