  1. Hm.. let's see... I want to give a kudo out to Wendy (Iteza)! Thank you so much for coming up with the idea for WYNG, before WYNG I never really thought about having Zhara become a performer. She was a dancer at the Golden Saucer but I didn't really know about the entertainment RP community at the time and Wendy introduced me to it! So thank you Wendy. I want to give kudos out to my FC mates at Keeper's Kiss! I've had a lot of fun working at their events. Especially to Zhara's IC boss Andromeda and our fearless leader Vachir. You guys work really hard to make everything at Kiss possible and I thank you for that. And finally I'd like to give a kudo out to Gegenji. He was one of the first RP connections I got on Zhara when I was still developing her. I wasn't expecting things to turn out the way they did with Chachan and Zhara's RP, but I'm glad they did! I was also not expecting us to advance to an OOC level and start dating, but I'm glad that happened too. Hope we end up seeing each other in March! *huggles*
  2. Zhara would gather the envelopes she had sealed earlier and would sneak out of the smithy to the letterbox. She stared at the mailbox in thought as she slowly put each envelope in, one by one. When it was just the two of them, Zhara and Chachan both seemed comfortable and happy with each other, but when another person would ask about or bring up their relationship, Chachan almost seemed too embarrassed to talk about it in Zhara's point of view which made her upset. She tried her best to conceal her emotions, even though they would unfortunately leak out and cause small arguments with Chachan. She'd sometimes feel unloved and unwanted, even if that was never the case at all. Zhara's ears would instantly perk up in shock as she heard someone calling her name. "Zhara!" Zhara would turn the tail of the letterbox upward to notify the moogles that there was mail that needed to be delivered before closing the box and turning around to see who was calling her. Behind her a short distance away was a familiar face - one of her music colleagues, Rorigo Lorigo. He was in an up and coming band called Wolfblood and was the tiniest in his group considering he played alongside an elezen, a hyur, and a roegadyn. The lalafell wore dark clothes, had shoulder length jet black hair and dark green eyes "... Rorigo? What are you doing in the industrial district?" Rorigo chuckled and scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. "Um... I honestly got lost. Nikolas told me t' meet 'im in the Goldsmith's Guild... that fucker loves his jewelry... n' yeah... I got stuck down these hall ways, why're you here?" "I live here." Zhara smiled. "Did you want to check it out? It's a nice place." Rorigo shrugged. "Sure... might as well." Zhara would lead the man into the smithy. "Hey guys.. sorry I'm back." she'd gesture to a few people. "So Rorigo, this is Chachan my boyfriend, and Chachan this is Rorigo, he's a colleague of mine, plays guitar in a band.." she'd then point to Yheli and Virara. "And this is Yheli and Virara." Rorigo smiled and looked around as he made sure to stay out of people's way. "Good t' meet ya." Zhara would sit back down at the kotasu and point to the cookie plate. "Cookies are right here for everyone to pick at." Rorigo nodded as he sat down on one of the ends at the kotasu as he casually observed.
  3. Character Name: Y'zhara Zekial Wiki link/short description: Zhara's Wiki Have you completed the MSQ up until end of 3.4: No, but I know what happens. My character should be anonymous: Either works
  4. Valentione's Cake, because it's chocolate and it looks like something I would actually devour in real life.
  5. Zhara actually has a few resolutions!: 1. Learn and train to be a pugilist. 2. Figure out how to use the soulstone she was inherited. 3. Keep her friends and family safe from danger. 4. Marry her boyfriend. Will she fail or succeed at these? Who knows.
  6. Sign me up! You should pick me because I'm a fabulous bitch, who needs a fabulous outfit.
  7. Zhara sighed in relief as the smithy started calming down a bit. She'd take the sacks of gil that were placed down by John and Yheli and would head to the back of the smithy, unlocking a safe where Chachan kept his earnings and putting the bags of gil inside before taking out a decent amount and closing it back up. She then came out to the front and would sit down on one of the cushions near the kotasu as she watched Chachan continue to help Yheli. She stayed quiet for the most part as she looked over some of their bills she found in the moogle mail earlier, and paid them accordingly, putting gil in the proper envelopes before sealing them and putting them in a small pile next to her. She then headed to the back for a second time. And like a sneaky bitch, she opened her own gil purse up and deposited a large sum of her -own- earnings into the safe. Zhara was very quiet about her regular donations, but if she told Chachan what she did - she knew he would give her the gil right back. Chachan always wanted Zhara to spend her extra money on herself, but little did he know that all she wanted was for his smithy to be successful and for him to be happy. Could she live a lavish lifestyle with her pop idol status? Of course, but he was her sun, and her sun shined brighter than any jewel she could possibly afford.
  8. Thanks guys. And that Broody McEdgelord guy sounds pretty amazing, you should make him. :3
  9. So... I was in the Quicksand just recently with the intent on just people watching. If RP happened, that was fabulous, but I didn't have a whole lot of time because I was picking my friend up from work so I was kind of hesitant on dedicating myself to a random RP when I was leaving in 30 minutes. I sat on a barstool for a long while and a guy with a RP tag was on the barstool next to me. He didn't emote towards me, he didn't do nothing, he just sat there. About ten minutes later he emoted that he was frustrated and walked out of the Quicksand and then sent me a PM saying I was an asshole for not trying to interact with him... like what the fuck? He didn't even emote or anything. I scrolled up to check if I missed anything... which maybe I did and I just couldn't find it in the chat scroll but it didn't seem like he tried to initiate RP. So yeah, I don't know if I could've done better or worse in that situation but it was weird.
  10. Zhara smiled at John. "Oh that's free, you don't have to worry about it. Um.. good luck with that wand..." Unfortunately she had no real experience with wands, most of her training was with tomes so she had no idea what the wand was made out of. "Sorry we couldn't be of more help." Zhara tilted her head at Yheli who was asking about buying the extremely sharp knife. "A knife like that would be about... 250? Sounds about right... though it's ultimately Chachan's decision." Zhara would magically take out, yet another bag of cookies and would sprinkle them on the tray. They were being devoured up pretty quickly, and she was glad that she took a few to save for Chachan when the storefront had calmed down. Zhara then glanced over at Virara. "So... heh.. sorry it's been so busy, how have you been?"
  11. I actually roleplayed a character back on WoW who dated and eventually married her older brother who had completely changed his identity over the years due to being a rogue who took very dangerous jobs and required him to do such. What me and my RP partner usually did was that we kept that they were siblings under wraps until we got to know the people we were roleplaying with. Some people are accepting and willing to go along with taboo themes, but some people are not. You need to be sensitive of the people who are not. So yeah I wouldn't spring the whole incest backstory thing on them right away, take some time roleplaying with them first. It also doesn't hurt to ask and discuss things about your character's backstory OOCly. See what they're okay with and not okay with. And if they're not okay with it I'm sure they'll respectfully let you know.
  12. Thank you so much once again! :3
  13. Zhara would eye the schematics, and then would look at Chachan who was busy with figuring out what materials were used in making John's wand before looking back over to the miqo'te woman. "Chachan is the only smith here, I'm just the girlfriend who helps out, but... both of those look doable. Problem is that he primarily makes armor over weapons due to his own personal reasons, but it doesn't hurt to ask." She then looked over at Chachan again and would raise her voice so that she could be heard over the group of people. "Hey kishi, sorry... I know you're busy, but this woman is wanting to get some kitchen knives made as well as a sword. I know you usually don't usually make weapons... um she even has schematics." she'd gesture to the rolls of paper that the woman was holding. At this point she was unsure if Chachan was going to reject making them or not.
  14. Name: Yuni Mihata Type of date desired: Friendly! If romantic, gender preference: N/A - all friends are good friends! Brief description of your character or character's service: Dubbed as the little cherry blossom by her friends back in Doma, Yuni is a very kind and sweet girl much like her namesake. Yuni grew up in the heart of the city with her adopted hyurian mother who had a bustling medical practice. Yuni learned the art of herbal healing and massage therapy from her mother, which inspired her to open a massage parlor near her childhood home. When the Garleans razed Doma, Yuni and her mother became refugees and were forced to move to Mor Dhona for a short period of time. While her mother stayed in Mor Dhona and became a medic for the wandering adventurers that came into Revenant's Toll, Yuni wanted to explore the world. Much to her mother's dismay, Yuni left to explore Eorzea. Unfortunately work was very limited for the massage therapist, which forced her into not so honorable work, but eventually caught a break when she was hired on as a barmaid in the Lominsan Star as well as Plains and Dunes - a lalafell targeted tavern. Now adays, Yuni continues to work as a barmaid as well as studies under the Coco brothers in the Thaumaturge's Guild in Ul'dah. Yuni's interests include history, magic, music and the arts, fashion, as well as adventuring - Yuni loves listening to other people's adventuring stories.
  15. Welcome back! I hope you'll find something you're looking for but my guess is that you will. Balmung has a wide assortment of linkshells and free companies. I'd take a look on here, RPC is where I've found most of my connections, which linked me to even more things later on. So yeah, give it a whirl and I hope you have fun.
  16. Just curious - what are your character's wishes this year for the Starlight Festival and the coming cycle? Do they want that new sword they've been meaning to be crafted for several moons? Do they just want gil? Or is your character a meaty Highlander who secretly wants that teddy bear? Also, what are your characters hopes and dreams for the coming cycle? Lemme know. :3
  17. Last night's lalafell linkup was very mellow yet fun! I also want to give a shout out to Alcolyte Oni for having the guts to come up and perform at our open mic. See you next week. :moogle:
  18. Zhara stood further back to make room for the next couple of patrons. She still had the cookie tray in her hands. Before all the cookies were taken, she made sure to take two for Chachan and would put them off to the side before setting the rest of the cookies down on the kotasu for anyone to take. Zhara would give a friendly smile to the W'chaza, the newest miqo'te to walk in. "Welcome to Usagenji Ironworks! I'm Zhara if you need anything." she'd lean against a wall as she watched Chachan interact with his customers.
  19. Screenies of Lalafell Linkup on November 16th and of General Night on November 21st. Enjoy! Also, I thank my friend Tuft and Tobi for performing at Lalafell Linkup. Sadly Tobi the character died roughly a week after the event. May she rest in peace.
  20. Before the Elezen left with her newly repaired greatsword, Zhara would respond to her queston. "Eh... kind of? I just like to help out. My boyfriend's business is pretty important to me." she'd then nod to Chachan, giving him confirmation that 800 gil would do. Before she came around, Chachan's pricing was an absolute mess. He would sell his services for an extremely low price, too low and while that rendered him a lot of business, it also gave people opportunity to take advantage of the poor guy. So with Zhara's previous business training from her father, she managed to come up with a pricing list that would give Chachan more income that he deserved, yet was still reasonable for his customers. Zhara would smile and wave goodbye with her free hand as she held the cookies in another. "Have a nice day ma'm." She'd then giggle as Chachan called Virara's name. "Don't be shy, you're always welcome here." She'd then look out the door to notice the man that was about to leave. "Uh... hi! Welcome to Usagenji Ironworks. Can we help you with something sir?"
  21. "Sure thing ma'm, I'll be right back." Zhara set the cookies on the kotasu and headed back to the kitchen area where she pulled out a bottle of milk from the cold storage and started to pour the Elezen customer a glass. Once that was complete she'd head back out to the front area of the smithy and would hand the woman her milk. Zhara would smile and bow politely, much like a very polite maidservant. "If you need anything else let me know." Her gaze would reach the door temporarily... someone was peeking. She didn't know who it was for sure, but made a few educated guesses. Zhara would form a sly smirk on her face as she walked back over to the kotasu and grabbed the plate of cookies. She'd continue to act like she didn't notice that Virara was at the door and would hold the plate of cookies out to the crack of the door, as if trying to lure the stranger inside. She continued to look over at Chachan and his clients as she stood by the door.
  22. Zhara nodded. "Okay.." she'd bend down to offer Chachan the tray as she turned to look at Jana. "Um... well we don't have ale, but we have juice, tea, water, aldgoat milk." she'd shrug as she continued to hold out the tray, which had an array of flavors from plain sugar cookies, to chocolate chip.
  23. Y'zhara was walking through the halls of the industrial section of Ul'dah and was wearing a black linen t-shirt, a pair of black shorts and casual looking black and red sandals as she made her way up a flight of stairs before taking a right. It looked like she knew her way around the place, she had been living in this section of the city for about three moons after all. She also appeared to be carrying an arcanist's tome in one hand, and a satchel in the other, which appeared to have food items inside. Eventually she'd reach her destination - Usagenji Ironworks. She'd quietly open the door and sneak behind Jana and the Elezen female, heading to the back area of the smithy which appeared to have a small, compact kitchen and started unloading what appeared to be groceries. She'd then take out a bag of premade cookies and would neatly organize and set them on a large plate before coming back out to the front. She'd put on a friendly smile to the customers. "Welcome, both of you! Feel free to take some of these cookies..." she'd set the plate down on the bench for everyone to access. "Would any of you like something to drink while you wait?"
