First week of release

Friend me, Amaare Margolis when you get into the game this weekend. I will admit that I am prone to being around Ul'dah a lot but I do all of my rp open world and not in Linkshells If I'm on just hit me up if you want to rp. Chances are aside from if I am in an instanced quest or dungeon I will come right along.

Alright, this is basically the thread for the launch event that will be happening on the Gilgamesh server for those interested. So far we have been talking about a meet and greet that is partial festival/refugee assistance in the way of low level crafting items. All are welcome to participate and more details will be ironed out soon. What we definitely need at this moment more than anything are those who will be able to assist with the actual event. Crafters and other organizers will definitely be needed. *UPDATE the meeting for those who wish to help with this event will take place on Friday between 8 and 10 in game. The Party is back in Costa, be sure to ask in coalition ooc for a guide to help you get there without the boat There will be another party event, we are going to give it a go folks. The show -must- go on! I highly suggest logging in early if you are able! Wish to talk about this in more detail, hit me up with a PM if you are interested in helping put this together. This will be a casual fun event and definitely come as you are. My character will be singing a few of his more silly sailor songs. A lot of laughing and just fun will be the order of the day!

RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Heavy- Medium, I'm very prone to sliding back and forth between both. I can also have a "light rp day" here and there when I am in a strict leveling mood. But mostly I am an heavy rper first and foremost before anything else. Views on RP combat and injuries: No character death, no maiming. Views on IC romance: No issue with it at all. Its usually a major part of my rp unintentionally. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I would be open to it if done right. Views on lore: Fine with lore I tend to find and notice things many miss. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I will be one of those in charge of two different Linkshells for the server of Gilgamesh, Coalition OOC, the "rp chat out of character channel for the server, as well as "Limitless Sky" the IC chat channel of the server. All are welcome to join as these are basically nothing more than ic and ooc rp chat channels like any other mmo. If you see me on approach me anytime you wish and I will rp with you. Oh that doesn't bother me as much as it seems to bother my husband. He seems a bit tense by being on a legacy server, though he's not much of a rp'er so .. it is more of my choice on where we end up. Makes sense see you on the server then if that :is where you decide to go. Any questions feel free to ask!

Don't let the legacy status of the server bother you. More vets means more teachers. Just look at it that way. There will also be a lot of new players free companies and the like on Balmung as well. You won't be the only new person by far. I'll be on Gilgamesh helping the community there if that's where you choose to go.

If youre interested I can do it since I'm setting Gilgamesh as my main server. And this goes for anyone who is playing on Gilgamesh if you're interested.

Yay!!! That's great to hear! I would be honored if you lead this endeavor, what do you say? It would make a great Beta 4 event. As I'm still new to the game, there is some reading I must do before that. Also, my time is very limited during weekdays. But there is still some time before beta phase 4. Let's see how things roll up. Sounds good, I'm mainly a weekend/late night during the week player myself so I understand. I'm sure there are some that can help you with that and if you need anything that may help just ask!

Amaare Margolis, if I'm on I'm available to rp, so hit me up anytime if you see me. Same goes for a friend's request. By the way what do you think of an IC Linkshell named "Limitless Sky"? Yes its corny, but I wanted it to represent the huge possiblilities of rping on a newly crowned rp server. Oh and there will be a launch week event, we are still cooking it up and looking for feedback and ideas! And perhaps someone can put together one for Open beta as well to help the server get its rp foundation.

For Supes I suggest reading All Star Superman and J. Michael Strazynski's (sp?) run. I think those are honestly the two best interpretations. Where as All Star is a classic interpretation, Straz's interpretation takes the character to where I'd like to see him. Too bad DC comics (especially now) are just idiots.

I'm thankful for being able to help a new server get its legs, for being able to say to other people that "NOW THE RPC HAS TWO GREAT SERVERS INSTEAD OF ONE". I'm grateful for all the support I've been getting and the fact that despite it all people really like what is trying to be done. I am grateful for the fact of being excited for something more than just roleplaying, excited by the new times and new experiences, our triumphs and our failures. I'm excited and grateful because honestly I am doing what I love which is helping people and entertaining them. I look forward to the role I will play in helping a new server be a fun place to be. I am grateful for the passionate people who I know mean well when they are mad at us, but secretly support us. And I am grateful for all those that stay quiet that will be joining us soon. How long can a Linkshell name be? What do you guys think of "Limitless Sky" or "Sky is the Limit" as the IC linkshell names, yes I realize they may be kinda corny but I wouldn't mind having a name that represented all the possibilities of roleplaying on a new server. *Just noticed "Limitless Sky" makes a great airship name. Hmmm....
