  1. Most of the eyeglasses are crafted and are sold on the Market Board.
  2. I only skimmed this thread but I was finishing up a quest line that other day and came across this gem. Kind of makes sense with Whoresons, meaning a son of a whore, being used. I've also seen "Bitch" used a few times but I've seem to have lost the screenshot of it. It made me personally laugh when I saw it the first time... As for profanity in RP... Aoi currently doesn't get the usage of curse words when used as a curse word. If you said, "We're to go fuck." She'd get that but not the other forms of it. IE: "Fucking Hell." But it doesn't bother me as the person on the other side of the screen is trying to portray a rough character possibly. Or maybe they grew up with sailors. Who knows really besides them? It doesn't really affect my RP if they are cussing like a sailor and it fits the theme of them more then likely. The theme of world? Maybe, maybe not. I haven't seen "Fuck" personally yet but then again... Eorzeans do have rough lives so it's always plausible, even if we, the players, haven't seen text for it yet.
  3. Greetings to you, and welcome back to FFXIV. Server Transfers are sadly the only way to get on Balmung or waiting for that right moment before/after maintenance. Unless they changed something, you should be able to transfer in still, or at least this was true prior to 3.1 when I transferred my alts to Balmung from another server. It never hurts to check if it's possible and it doesn't cost anything, but time, to see if you can. Unless of course you can and then go through with it, but that's a different story. lol. The major hub is the Quicksand, the other adventurer guilds in Limsa and Gridania do have people in them from time to time but they're not as active as the Quicksand. The even more rare place to see RP is The Forgotten Knight, a bar in Ishgard. Other then that, you'll find people RP'ing just about everywhere. Even though it's not always in public view. (I'm looking at you Hermit's Hovel.) Hope this helps answer your questions and once again, welcome back. :moogle:
  4. Here's some of the screenshots I took while we all waited there in our record breaking Line!
  5. I wasn't quite sure if she wanted to kill Midgard or Ride on him... Caught her mid-blink...

    Chocobos

I'M SORRY, I FELT I HAD TO ASK. I WOULD NOT EAT A CHOCOBO, NOR ANY OF MY CHARACTERS. *pets choco chick like a Bond villian* My character's would, for survival. Mmmm horse bird meat...

    Chocobos

Tough question as it's yes and no. You can eat them, and people have done so. It's frowned upon though in certain regions such as around Tailfeather where nature is to be respected. You'd also be eating into your profits. Pun intended Though I imagine they taste like chicken. It's safer to just ride them and if you eat them, don't get caught or let people know. :chocobo: As for breeding them for food, there is no mention of chocobos being breed as a food source. As a matter of fact, most chocobos are captured wild and then broke in before being sent to Ishgard and so forth from there.
  8. While this is only a fighting event. I do enjoy participating or watching it weekly. It's nice seeing so many different styles of RP, especially in fighting, coming together to beat the snot out of each other. As I said earlier to you. Thanks for hosting this event weekly.
  9. To echo this... Kaiz and I are part of the same group and go to the Grindstone/Runestone weekly unless something comes up... So we're watching out for not just our groups chat if we're on the sideline, but we're also trying to watch the fights as they scroll by. Seras will try to follow the person that beat her usually and cheer them on. It's part of friendly rivalry at the above mentioned events. She's even established a friendship among the person that beat her the first time she was there. It boils down to the players at the keyboard, the characters, and how fast that chat is scrolling by. When we're watching fight prompts or looking for a friend's chat while with a group things can, and will, be missed. Sending a tell is always something I'd suggest doing if you feel like your stuff got ignored or missed. I've been known to send tells to people if I feel I missed something of their's and they'd repost for me. The chat scroll is real... All too real... :moogle:
  10. *Notices eyepatch on left eye* "I'll allow you to stay on my right side. Then we can be a complete. This will work out just fine."
  11. "Lalafell... The bane of my existence... Go ahead and do whatever you want with me... I accept this fate."
  12. *hides fruit* Welcome to Balmung and the RPC. Also that was a good introduction... Hehe... Snowballs...
  13. "I married a Teddy Bear! How many blows to the head did I take?!" Seras ponders on this. "I see no problem with this except I wish she were taller..."
  14. "And you wonder why we're so broke? You keep gambling everything away!"
  15. "Sorry that they paid me in fish... It's not like they had much gil, and neither do we. So learn to like it. Food is food."
  16. I must have missed that part of the dialogue in the quest. Thanks for clarifying that up. Only reason I thought black powder is because it's a material used in the creation of MCH weapons, and the powder kegs we saw during Steps of Faith. We can see how well that worked for them...
  17. You mean the Dragon Killers? They're just ballistae that Ishgard uses against dragons. I'd assume it's the same mechanics however... I believe it's closer to a black powder charged ballista. We know Ishgardians have access to black powder, and the same family runs the MCH guild as makes the ballista. So I believe it'd be safe to assume they use gunpowder to propel their ballista bolts at dragons. I don't recall anything going in depth about what they are as a whole... Just remember from Steps of Faith the DK's and you can find them pretty much everywhere in Ishgard. Hope that helps.
  18. One of my favorite AFK spots is the bed in my own room... It's just so comfortable and gives my character the much needed rest she deserves. Some of my others include The Brume, up on the gate to Tailfeather, and The Iron Feast. though admittedly... I'll AFK wherever I am, if it's a 'safe spot.'
  19. Seras would buy the cheapest, and usually the worst tasting, candy you can buy.
  20. Here's what you're looking for. [video=youtube]
  21. I could go rewatch the cutscene and just take a picture of it for you.
  22. I decided I'd hunt Fufucha down and take a screenshot of her Flowery Lalaness for an even better comparison!
  23. I honestly think it's exactly the same as the Character Creator's.
  24. We just celebrated the second anniversary of the game, and since time is a odd concept when translating it from FFXIV to RL... (one day would be three eorzean weeks! D: ) I go by Real Life days (They have them listed as such on the calendar.) So currently it'd be the year 1579 if you used this way to thinking. You can use a Fantasia to change your patron. Hope that helps some.
