... I really need to fix Mizuho's Wiki. I caused errors in the page O_o;; Also I am slowly working on all of my characters wiki anyways. Slowly....slowly....

Been busy with finals and I haven't really drawn much for myself and everyone else. I'll get to it by this holiday. I can't tell if this is a girl or guy from my own drawing.

I dont mind having "friends" that I met on internet, but I am very paranoid about who I talk to and who I meet that I have never hung out with in person. Which is why I am very against online relationships/long distance relationships or even online friendships. I feel that they are not fully trustworthy. Those who open up to me freely and somehow I feel the same chemistry to them - then I usually open up and become friends regardless. I dont give away my Facebook info and I dont accept their request right away. I know -few- people who tried to add me on Facebook and I've actually had a long time to think about it to add/accept their friendships. I also dont like to talk everyday 24/7 wasting my life in this forum or other community sites. I only contribute when I need to, and other times I play games or do other things outside like a normal person as much as I can and hang out with friends. I don't want to feel like I am isolated and be anti-social when I already am from jocks and regular sports fans and beer/alcohol drinking folks. I understand what you mean by closing your friendships IRL because of gaming/or other reasons, but should you want to ramble or talk about it, feel free to add me on skype. But I dont usually talk about my life unless I feel that it's at the point that I can trust you or anyone else who adds me.

While I would like to thank Freelance for posting this thread, I do admit that the elitism and conformity and community of this forum has gone beyond sour and uncivilized for every one especially new members who are new to roleplay or new to FF14 lores. There were lots of harassment and turn downs but also there were also definitely nasty comments throwing at each other. It really does help if people tend to treat new roleplayers and regular roleplayers without having it as "first strike and you are out" . We are all here to have fun and enjoy, not to make this game seem restricted for everyone and make them lose interest in RPing

With this request by me as an OP, please lock this thread and also I do not want to discuss anything further than this. If you want to criticize about it more, then be my guest. I'll request the mods to close it.

This concisely puts my thoughts to words. Please, OP, consider what the posters in this thread are saying. Even if they disagree with you, they need to be considered because they're the ones being almost forced to deal with the aftermath of the fanon you're trying to push on the community for the sake of your personal story and Free Company. At this point, I just stopped caring about how I want to approach to this event. It's rather a concern that no matter what I do, it's looked down upon and people will criticize me or just avoid in interacting with me. But I won't mention names of course.

I am pretty sure it's not the insecurities that is the concern since it's been a while that many people have consistently avoided me from RPing with me because of personal reasons or my abilities of RPing. Considering that it was similar to the event that I had before this idea even came up.

As to relay what Kinono said, everyone also wants to be special snowflake to each of their own just like how I wanted it to be like that for my FC and myself , which is why they don't want to be that bystander which is understandable. Just disappointed about how people worded it really.

Honestly? It's just something nice to have as an event. Special for us or not, I am sure we all want out characters and our FC to be something. Just like any of you. Which is why I made this thread to see if it was pursue able. Not to be slammed all over the place and hearing why my FC gets special treatment as well as my character. That rather sounds more like people are being critical about it personally than the community concern

We already have an "other" section of Linkshells not in Balmung/Gilgamesh. And that still doesn't really justify the rest for them to have their own events and directory sections...

But I feel that this is your FC's actions than what other FCs would handle it. In the end, everyone wants to be their own special snowflake, and I don't think we should ignore them. Though yes, it'd be just solely FC in the end. Also I am pretty sure lot of us in the community has already been passed the limit of Mary Sue. >_>

Is it possible that we can also add LS/FC list, Directory, Events, Connections for servers outside of Balmung/Gilgamesh? I've noticed that Lamia and Cerberus have had their own share of RP from there. That way people will know that there are RP related Linkshells/FC/players exist in different servers.

The only issue is that I really don't want to isolate this event too far away from the cities. If that was the case, I would not have posted this threat from the start. Which is why I wanted to get some kind of ideas to see if it's possible to have some people be involved whether they can think of themselves as PC or NPC to this event plot, and push themselves to be involved in our affair if they wish to do so. But too much isolation will make it sound like it'd rather seem a non important matter. Edit: From what Ragnar said, that is another possible alternative. Though It'll have to be in areas that no one can possibly find us in the city where people dont think we are crazy holding swords in midair.

#seriouspost Just don't want you to do anything that will majorly impact the canon, that you will just then walk away from. Events as you describe will effect characters deeply, and the cities as well, they can't really be written off as a one off event. If you instead were speaking of a long term plot, which would progress and have an ending, and all of that, I think people would be less annoyed than 'OMG UL'DAH IS ON FIRE' That's what I am planning to do. This isn't only for those days. It's a long plot term progression and it will have its ending, but from what Chachan said, I might stick with that. This is exactly why I made a thread in here instead of events because I know it'll be disastrous if I have something like this and it'll be as bad as how people looked at my grindstone event. So I have read people's feedback and there are some things to think about. I do want people to be involved , but I wasn't sure how to place them into the plot because I don't want people to be angry at me for not deeply placing them into the story. So what, you want me to fully open it for everyone else so they can participate in it and have more villains be involved too? Because I could literally do that, but I do not wish to keep it on the side of nowhere to have this event to happen. This won't be just Ul'dah, this will be also two other cities too.

Again, I have not said people cannot be involved. And yes, if I target lore based areas for the FC plot, it does involve everyone and many people will not like it. I just wanted to keep everyone notified that I don't want them to be annoyed or upset like what happened in askier's event. No matter what people say about his event, there were those who liked it, and you can't satisfy everyone in something. I am only giving the idea that I'd want to let people know that is is FC focused but because of what's happening here, it'll affect everyone. I liked world events sometimes that have these kind of crisis because I don't always see happy world events that happen all the time. And don't get me wrong. I find jancis's and oscare's events from past few weeks to be amazing and also the ball dances and etc. but why not also have despairing events too?

I think you misinterpreted what I said. I was saying I don't mind criticisms, but chances are that I would like to keep the agenda if possible. People can pretend and be like "what explosions? Are people going insane?" Tone at those who are participating. I personally liked Askiers event about getting affected canonically. It is FC arc, but how can people just pretend that nothing happened when there would be explosions in Uldah? Which is why I have to keep it in somewhat world event because I have no other choice. And also everytime I try to do some kind of events there were histories about people looking down at my ideas , but I still think it's more of how players view me than how my events are made.

Before I reply, I need to know how serious you are about this particular part. Knowing that I'd be harshly criticized by you (maybe), but I intend to keep that as an agenda. It won't be an actual meeting hall that you see in the story, but it'll be around supposed halls of Husting strips (after all, Ul'dah in actual concept is actually three times larger than what we see in the game when we walk around. Reason? Even though Anelia is no loger sworn, this suspect knows that it'll rile her up should he Attack the sworns

I don't think it's a case of looking down upon but there's been precedence of the RP community not liking wide spread events that attack common areas. There was once an event where some parts of Ul'dah's water supply was tainted with poison, walls bombed, people dying from it etc. Threads sorta blew up about it. Some people liked it and some people didn't like how you almost -have- to accept that the events happened and how it affected your character or you essentially are in another city/area/timeline continuity. This is one part that is a big concern, but I really want to make this event happen. Should it affect you or not is your character's choice. If anyone does not want to be involved during this event, please avoid those areas if possible. Except Sultansworn's hangouts. That will be targeted. And anywhere that any Lalafells with blue/redhair would go to....kidding on that part.

I would love to have more people to participate and be involved, but I am kind of worried about how many people might end up saying "How come I got casted aside when I was fully participating in this event?". I mean, they can still push it to make themselves be involved in the story, I never said anyone cannot join at all aside from this catastrophe that's about to happen. Again, you can feel free to say that you want to be part of the story and I'll be obliged to fill you in

Anelia was originally named differently and was a Highlander at a very start for the closed/open Beta. However, I felt that the character was too aggressive and too manly for a female. I wanted someone a bit more feminine looking but with strong personality, and Midlander (derplander) was a perfect choice to my ideal in a woman. Comparing to Elslie Strumwald which is my Paladin WoW RP character, who has been existing since vanilla was a 16 year old squire who was very energetic and tomboy outgoing girl. As throughout the expansion, she grew up to be more mature. However she was still outgoing and happy type of girl. I wanted to take Anelia in a different path. At least, she started off brown haired and formal and smiling person with strong ideals. However, I realized that she's going similar path as Elslie, so I decided to take this girl into a huge darker side of path in dark past and painful memory due to Carteneau and her training as a Sultansworn. She fitted blonde better and I intend to keep her that way.

I am sure this will be looked down upon by a lot of players, but this is something that I'd like to focus solely for the FC and my character Anelia if possible. She will be conflicted with one of the most mastermind villain in FC who will attack cities and certain areas with explosives to bring terror to citizens. What I would need are: Law Enforcement (Yellowjackets, Wood Wailers, Brass Blades) and other city elites (Immortal Flame, Maelstrom, Twin Serpents, and Sultansworns) who'd be willing to participate in side plot to support and help out this event. Regular citizens, good or evil - who cares to not see the city be burned or those wants to watch the city to burn. To be in side of the plots There will not be really any fights like dices or anything. We just need people to panic when we alert everyone OOCly. This is going to be an event for 2-3 days, and when there is an OOC shout alert, we just want people to start ICly panic, react, or smile on it. This will affect on those who love Starlights (aka Christmas) and then this character will ruin their holidays by terrorizing the streets. I know this is a bit harsh thing that I am coming up with, but I really want to push it. I really hope that at least many people will at least cooperate for good amount of days if possible. And I assure you, no chocobos, Nanamo or any important NPCs will be harmed from this. (And you won't either, unless you want to be the victim affected by explosion. I made sure that the charges were set in certain areas that people barely hang out ICly...except Pearl Street) *Note: I am aware that there are those who would not be okay with this because this seems too extreme, but... I'd like to make it somewhat interesting! Again, should you be interested - please please please help out to make this event happen! The story will plan out to be within two weeks. Thank you! EDIT: For those who are confused with my wordings, you may sign up to be part of the story on pursing to stop this mad criminal. However, keep in mind that the people who participate in this will be limited. (Cannot have 20 people to be involved in story for this over one guy).

*cough* I'm aware of them, I have already spoken to those in the group when I first transferred into balmung and with a brief response, but nothing in game (even when reaching out), so my statement still stands lol I may have very well just caught them at a busy time or times didn't match up or maybe even some of my messages just never reached them, but outside of seeing their stuff in the forums... going in the game itself I didn't catch so much as a whisper of other garlean rp'ers and that's what I'm basing my original comment on primarily. lol of course i'll also be the first to admit that just because I didn't see/hear it, didn't mean it wasn't there. Just nothing I witnessed. only emphasizing that if it was as common as it was suggested, yanoo haha There are indeed a ton of undercover Garleans out there (you just don't see them because they're undercover *cough*cough*). Then again, there was a group of them who would just discuss Garlean-y things in the middle of taverns. Probably not the best way to approach that. I personally blame everyone for wanting to play as Sultansworns instead of Brass Blades, especially when there is no Brass Blades in Quicksand.

Also Chachan, I agree with you 100%. Honestly, I love Fistfighters and Hussar's Jackcoat set but only different dyes I've seen are Skywatchers. And most of these gears dont drop a lot except bunch of cokes and pot-ashes. ;-; (and people barely do these dungeons to farm the gears)
