From left to right: NIN, DRG, Healers, ???, ???, MNK, Tanks Hard to tell whether the Miqo'te or the Highlander is the BRD. My personal opinion about these gear is that they seem to be a bit too similar to 2.4 gears and seem extremely lazy. NIN/MNK above looks same and if Roe's outfit is BRD or DRG... that's a bit of disappointing too. They just seem color changed and nothing really different. Likewise for the casters in the middle. I hope crafting gears will make up the designs at least. (and is that a bucket helmet for the tank?)

Even Thaumaturgist guild don't summon Voidsents in Ul'dah. And that's saying something. Honestly, people should really use a common sense that voidsents inside any cities or town, the guards will react to it and try to attack you. "Oh it's okay. I am researching on it." "Oh it's okay. I am friends with it. It likes people of Eorzea" does not give justified reasons to say that other people or local citizens to be okay with a creature from dark being which terrorized many people long while before. If anyone's not aware, these local citizens of Eorzea panic on axe beak bird invasions, or even Beast tribe invasions. What makes you think they'll be okay with voidsents? They won't. Just because they are NPCs and won't bother you doesn't mean anyone should take advantage of that and ICly bring Ahrimans into the city/town at any cost.

I've not really watched Korra or Avatar, but I've heard a lot from my friends in terms of two series. I think in my personal opinion - Nickelodeon has approached something that many kids based cartoon shows (including Cartoon Network) have not done before and that's coupling two females as lovers. I respect their decisions and I think they made the right one too. :3

I was talking with Iex for couple of posts regarding why Au Ra looked like that and why I felt that I couldn't judge a 30 second clip when it only showed one style for each gender. But yes, I was very shallow minded by 30 second clip of Ninja/Rogue gameplay before 2.4 and I was on the verge of not playing it because it looked "lame" after like one or two skill demonstration. Which is why I took my grain of salt and wait for the race/class to actually come out and see it for myself . Though I think it does look nice since the lizard people reminds me of Tera races like Aman x Castanic fused.

Part of it may come from the more densely packed Japan is in terms of population, sadly a business like this would probably die out very quickly outside of huge cities like New York, New York. Where I live, we are just getting a gaming shop (D&D Pathfinder Magic Netrunner etc... ) that will sell booze along with board games, table top, and the like since the age range of folks who play those things often has actually expanded into 21+ recently around here. This is a person who visits New York frequently, and I have to say that this restaurant being built next to St. Marks or Kinokuniya Bookstore will do an amazing business considering that there are so many anime and video game fans who'd dare to try FFXIV restaurant in a heartbeat. I havent been in the city for two years despite that I live in Long Island side, I'll waste lot of money just to go to this restaurant. Dragoon jump is real.

Debatable. But again, I like playing attractive characters. Dogs and Cats? Not my thing really. But I will say that Miqo'te female are pretty cute all aside from their tails and ears. I'd totally tap them. Nice butts and curves just like Midlander female. FemRoes are pretty damn hot too with their curvy hair and their chest as well as Elezens despite their long necks. I still find Au Ra to be cute like Miqo'tes do. But would I create it and fantasize it? Maaaybe. Well not caring so much about dogs or cats should be considered as "broken inside of me".

The way I see it, it may seem dangerous but we are looking at the world in gameplay's perspective and the main hero's perspective. I feel that Eorzea is actually 5 times larger than it looks in game, and has more wide views. It literally should take at least 1-5 days to pass Thanalan (Central) in actual perspective. If we see it in hero's perspective and the gameplay's perspective - there is no way regular civilians can walk from Ul'dah to Black Brush Station while there are antlings popping out to ambush you. Locals -do- walk to BBS frequently for like 6 hour-12 hour walk realistically. Black Shroud is dangerous period however, and same for MorDhona.

I have seen this point made a few times. I wanted to address it. I have seen a few people wondering if it is okay to dislike a race based off a preview/unfinished version. I have also heard this point from several other MMO communities regarding similar topics. At the time it has been brought up, I have found that if I disliked a preview I do end up still disliking the finished product. The short of it is, the developers are not going to release something that isn't even nearly close to being finished. Typically when something like a new race is previewed, any changes from there on will usually be very minor. That, and unless Au Ra are super special and get an amazing amount of customization options that the other races don't get, we can expect their character creator to be very similar to what we have already seen. I sincerely doubt, for example, that they will allow us to change any scale patterns because that just doesn't factor in as a comparative option to the other races. (the horns seem reminiscent of miqo'te tail styles. While possibly color of scales is influenced by hair color) Does that make sense? There is a lot I wonder about. I wonder where on the height sliders the preview characters are. I wonder what kind of horn style selections we will get. I wonder what sort of hairstyles we will get. These are things that could help us change our mind on the race, certainly, but if your dislike of the design goes deeper than that... Then being able to tinker around in a character creator is not going to endear you to them. While I agree with you in terms that character customization in this game is so very limited, majority of the people who are disliking the race but is willing to accept or try are just taking grain of salt to at least give it a shot. Instead of Elezen/Lalafell's ear shape, we might get Horn Shape option, and also as you said, Miqo'te's tail style into Au Ra's version of tail style. Again, their game character design option is VERY VERY limited because they are still using 1.0 character creation option except they just enhanced it by making interface options look more beautiful was all. Is it disappointing? Yes. But is it as bad as many other MMOs? No. Because many MMOs have big options to create your character and yet the graphics and the way they are designed is really sloppy. I don't know. Maybe future expansion after Heavensward might add more options like how they did for Mists/WoD (Sort of). But even Tera which was made after FFXIV 1.0, they still had some sloppy character creation options. Also MMOs can take it so far on how much they can apply into the game. :'/

Well, all honesty - Noctis using swords with his telekinesis ability to swing swords can only go so far @_@. Even if he did have that ability, I would assume that it'd be still a common sense to wear light or heavy armors just in case that sword failed to parry one bullet. But hey, it's JRPG logics here

^^^^ But honestly, while everyone does point out Cidney is a mechanic showing belly and her upper side of breasts - chances are that she won't fight. But majority of these cute bishonen Backstreet Boys are also not wearing heavy armors or even equipped enough to fight giant Adamantoise. Their chests are wide open against guns to be shot. In the end, it's Asian RPG logics over what's realistic since it is fantasy fiction and we can believe whatever it's out there.

It'll probably be a considerable maybe for me right now because I don't know a thing about this race's lore and also the fact that one part of a model won't give me a good judgement on whether the female Au Ra seems attractive or not. Though the trailer one does look quite cute regardless.

Well technically, the trailers in slightly dark gray backgrounds and screen is extremely vague for anyone to determine whether they have scales to their skin or not. But aren't these from Othard though? So maybe they'll give brief lore of Othard that they are not related to Dravanians etc. I am merely going off the screenshots such as this one: http://imgur.com/a/MUEoR#6 As for scales... I just picked draconian because it was the first word to come to mind. Poor word choice, apologies. To me it looks less like it is supposed to blend into the skin and more like armor grown on top of it.
