Making it through 2016 truly has been akin to surviving a second meteor fall, what a roller coaster year... On the Aeon front we will be celebrating our first anniversary under current Vanguard leadership. We're still kicking and absolutely thriving! We've been advancing our FC story over the past several months; reintroducing plot points that were covered under the original membership, and now working on completely new plot material that will surprise even our legacy members. Some fun facts to start this new year off~ Total Aeon Members: 23! We also have 3 special members that we call 'Founders', while they no longer play often or have moved on to other things, still will always have a place in the FC that they worked so hard to create. Character Break Down: Mains (23): 7 Hyur, 10 Miqo'te, 0 Lalafell, 0 Roegadyn, 3 Elezen, 3 Au Ra -- 7 females, 16 males (Characters played most often) Alts (24): 4 Hyur, 7 Miqo'te, 1 Lalafell, 2 Roegadyn, 2 Elezen, 8 Au Ra -- 12 females, 12 males (In Aeon we use Alts as plot devices, as secondary characters when mains might be otherwise unavailable, and simply as another flavor of character to play from time to time) Founders (3): 1 Hyur, 0 Miqo'te, 1 Lalafell, 1 Rogadyn, 0 Elezen, 0 Au Ra (Our beloved founding members) Our members span across TEN different time zones! Our late night crowd is all the way over on the West Coast USA in PST/GMT-8, and our future crowd is all the way over the Europe in CET/GMT+2. We have members sprinkled throughout North American, a few different European countries, and even a South American or two. At this time our recruitment will remain closed. We have a few very important character plots playing out and are gearing up for another FC story event to happen this month. Laying the lore piece aside for the moment... This sounds like you have a grand story all planned out to the 'T'. Which is great, stories with structure are wonderful. However, what are you offering to your potential RP partner? Are they just going to be a side character in your story with no real reason to exist otherwise?

The community on Balmung is surprisingly accepting about topics, for the most part. In casual RP the fact that your character has romantic thoughts about her brother doesn't even need to be brought up, so most would be none the wiser. Once you find a good group of people that you interact with you will start to get a good feel for what they are comfortable with. As long as you stay within the bounds of game defined lore, most people won't care at all. 'You do you, enjoy rp!' is very much a common mentality here. Personally it sounds like an interesting topic to explore from an outsider's perspective. It could even be something that isn't all that uncommon depending upon how you play it - ie keeping bloodlines pure or wanting to pass along the strongest traits possible. As Nodem mentioned, this type of relationship could be fairly common in Seeker Miqo'te tribes. It's all a matter of personally lore interpretation as it isn't specifically spelled out anywhere. I wouldn't turn you away for RP at any rate

My honest advice for you is that you need to put more effort in as a leader. From the outside things appear disorganized at best. Your FC advertisement is full of broken code and just looks messy. Do you have a FC website (Discord does not count)? If so put the link somewhere. That is what will draw people in to learn more about you. Prospective members usually want to see that the group they are joining is stable and run by people that care. Do your own research. Google is an amazing thing that will tell you about getting a house and how much they cost on FFXIV - currently there are exactly 0 available on Balmung, unless you want to pay many many millions more than the actual cost for someone to relinquish land. You can find signature generators and artists via Google, as well. Balmung and Gilgamesh are your best places to find RPers, and both are pretty locked down. That's the nature of the game here, however. If you move to another server you *might* find a small pocket of RPers to rope in, but it will not be anything like your current server as it stands today. Also keep in mind the advice I gave you before. Continue to evolve your FC into something that is entirely unique. Move away from having things mirror other groups, otherwise you will run into the issue of prospective members wondering 'why should I join this group when that one over there with the exact same story/advantages/amenities looks better?' Just about any successful FC leader here can tell you that running a serious RPFC in this game is far from easy. There's a balance of admin work to keep outside people interested, keep the internal workings of the FC running smoothly, and then whatever RP stuff on top of that all. This line alone will probably scare a few people off: A zero-OOC drama policy (Unless it can be controlled). There is no such thing as controlled OOC drama. Stick with zero. Take all of the advice that people are offering you and work to be better. Just the show of improvement will help bring in more attention. Commitment as a leader will help draw in new members. Set clear guidelines of what you are looking for and give clear examples of what others can expect from you - this will help minimize having people join only to leave a day or two later.

That is exactly how it works. The status changes to shipped once the store prints a label. Tracking information is emailed once the carrier facility takes possession of the item and updates accordingly as the location changes. Items should ship in the amount of time that you paid for, but the biggest wait with this release is the item leaving the SE warehouse.

The book we ordered on the 17th finally shipped on Friday via UPS from Tennesse. The tracking email came several hours after the status changed on the SE store. We only paid for the cheap 5-10 day shipping, but should be here on Wednesday (4 business days after going to the shipper). My only gripe is how long it took for the order to be processed for shipping, but with the item selling out in less than 30 minutes it's not a huge surprise.

[align=center]~~Monthly check in from the mercenary Free Company of Aeon~~[/align] This past month has seen a flurry of activity! Ohmigash.. Where has time gone? The enemies of the Branded grow ever more bold in their actions. The strongest of the company have set out to weed out those that wish their companions harm while those less capable in battle have begun to train in various skills. Unknown threats still loom in the shadows, waiting for an opportune moment to reveal themselves. We've hosted FC MSQ, a number of member-based MSQ events, a few socials, an OOC voice meeting, and several smaller scale events in just this past month. There was never more than a five-day stretch without something happening. To see this wonderful FC rise again from the near-shambles that it was at the start of the year is nothing short of amazing to me. I try to always thank our members, because without their dedication, creativity, and drive this would be just another broken group left to vanish into the Aether. We've welcomed three new members into our family so far this recruitment cycle. Steinarr, Zarik, and Zevi'to have all brought their own unique flair to our story and we are so happy to have them! We've also taken in Ally friends, welcoming them to become a little more involved with our story through their interaction with Aeon members - this is an invitation only offer that we extend to our closest of outside friends. They are every bit as much apart of our Aeon family (just without the cool perks and swanky <> tag) - So also a warm welcome to our new Allies Dorothea and Ta'hu! Aeon recruitment will be closing in 10 short days on October 25th. If you've been thinking about joining but haven't submit an app yet, now is the time to do so! Depending upon how busy we become with our stories and what the holiday season looks like for our members, recruitment may remain closed until the new year. Time will tell. Until then!

I would say look at the lore of the races and roll whichever strikes you as more interesting! I'm in love with Miqo'te lore, myself. There aren't nearly enough Elezen players, though. Whatever you will have the most fun writing.

You just weren't looking hard enough. They are out there! I know I've encountered a few, and was even in one that might fit the bill once upon a time. This isn't the place to find one, however. Groups that are more PvE focused probably wouldn't be advertising here and their RP is more of a loosely pulled together RPLS on the side. Groups that are more RP with some PvE nights every now and again probably wouldn't even advertise the raiding element here because, again, that isn't the focus of this site. More power to you if you want to start one! But with your top requirements being Progression and voice chat, with maybe a little RP mixed in, I don't know that you'll get any bites from here.

Hello Lu'un, Thanks for the question! It's completely fine if you aren't up to speed on game content. Sometimes we might touch on the story in idle chatter RP-wise, but if we know that someone isn't there yet we do try to avoid spoilers. The only thing that you might be missing out on is if an event is hosted in a HW locked area, but again we do try to take into consideration the levels and progress of characters involved! Last week we also held a beach party in the Mist to celebrate the end of the Moonfire Faire~ And have decided that Lee is no longer allowed to prepare drinks for everyone... Has SE confirmed that there will be only one Apartment per city? Looking at the screenshots of where they are located, it's the blocked off road in each housing area. As long as they have the server capacity, SE could be putting one in each ward (and subdivision). I couldn't replicate the angle... but that is definitely the same spot in the Mist. What a busy past couple of weeks it has been for the Branded! Mysterious calls for help, an unknown ailment hitting one member (could this end up affecting the others?), an uptick of attacks and new Branded appearing, some typical mercenary jobs, checking out the free food and drinks at a recent ball (props to GP and Crescent for hosting that~) and a hunting trip. There's been a severe lack of beach parties... We have several major events planned for the near future and more plots brewing all the time! We'd also like to welcome our two newest members: Farrson and Lee! Recruitment will be closing on August 10th to allow for our new friends to get settled into the story and put focus on our MSQ. We'll open back up sometime in September most likely (this is dependent upon how our new members have integrated and how our current plots turn). Get those apps in now if you've been holding off! I'm not mad at you and I'll continue to wait patiently. Please take your time and feel better. I will admit I was a little bummed after so long had passed, but only because I was very excited to see your beautiful art. After you went quiet following your AX, I figured that either something very bad had happened or your gallery didn't go well. It's okay. Take some time to collect yourself. Draw because it is something that you enjoy doing. Continue volunteering because it is something that you enjoy doing. Enjoy the time with your parents (they sound absolutely lovely for helping you to prepare!) You've focused on two negative comments here. Two. Don't do that. Take them with a grain of salt and use them to better yourself. The one about being unprofessional... use that as a reminder to keep the lines of communication open! Let your commissioners know that you are not feeling well or that you are having technical issues. The ones about price and quality... that is entirely a personal opinion. Should you receive another comment like that, thank them for their advice and continue on with what you think is best. Now go back and look at all of the positive comments that you have. Dozens upon dozens between here and your Deviant Art page alone. Surely you must be doing something right. Keep doing whatever that is! You've been a wonderful person to do business with. You've been very sweet and polite. Your art is absolutely gorgeous. You better believe I still want my commission. And I'll wait until you finally get to #6 on that list. Just continue to be open and honest. Depression is far more common than you might think, don't be afraid to let someone know if you're having trouble. Remember to find time for yourself and take care of yourself. (And keep up with your art so that you can eat and have a place to sleep!) But also because you seem to love art so much. There will always be people that don't like what you do. And that's okay. There are so many other people that do like what you do. Focus on them and all of the positive that comes with that. Learn from the criticism and keep improving. Remember to smile. Even if you're having a bad day today, don't let that drag you down tomorrow. Start fresh each day if you can! Tomorrow can be amazing.
