Oh oh! Pick me~ Aurou is a Keeper Sharlayan journalist and researcher. She's also been learning to use daggers for the sake of self defense, but doesn't take her training very seriously - she's an awful pacifist. She will talk until she's blue in the face and loves to hear stories from others. She's also no stranger to Ishgard, and also frequents Ul'dah and Limsa regions. Hello RPC~ Just a quick update. FIRSTLY, welcome to our two newest members Koro and Ufu, as well as welcome back to returning member Armel! ^^^ This ^^^ Kilieit stated it spot on. Think in terms of RL and what it takes to be even considered 'good' in a profession. Years and years of practice and dedication, schooling, training, on the job training and shadowing of respected mentors. Even someone in their 30's might be young to have 'mastered' a single job role. When you're talking about several job roles, entirely different ones at that, to be believable that person would be pretty damn old. Look up Master Matoya if you haven't reached that far in the game yet. One of the few NPC's to be given the actual title of Master. She's very old and very respected. From an IC perspective, if a teenager were to claim to be the master of anything my character would probably chuckle and humor them but never believe them. Echo, political connections, and the rest of those mentioned privileges that the WoL has at their disposal or not.

Hey Pyanj, welcome There are undoubtedly groups out there that don't carry an 18+ requirement. Most of the ones that do have that in place are probably looking out for their members. No one wants to be caught off guard corrupting a young person, to put it bluntly. Angry parents are also quite scary. Do be careful about advertising your age, however. It's great that you're honest! But be careful about that, some people are creepy. I would hide your birth year on forums, at the least. Look around the Linkshell Hall and see if you can find a smaller, casual RP LS or FC that allows younger people in to the group and just give the leader a heads up that you are under 18 so that they can look out for you. That would be a good first step into MMO RP'ing. Make connections here on the forums, build up your friend list. Stay AWAY from the Quicksand. Please, for the love of all that is pure... don't go there. There are some awesome people that hang out there, and then there are some of those really creepy people that I mentioned before. Maybe try some forum RP here to build up your confidence. I started RPing in a MMO a good dozen years ago when I was 14. I know where you're coming from. Just keep at it, look out for yourself, and be choosy about who your friends are. I'm a parent now and shudder when I think about the things that I got into all those years ago. I was fortunate in that the group I found always was very attentive when the couple younger members were online and kept chat clean - they also looked out for us when someone outside of the group was bothering us or giving us trouble. I haven't received a code for the Nintendo card that I purchased this morning. HOWEVER. A FC mate that purchased the same thing a few hours later got his code instantly. I talked to CS and they told me that my item was indeed eligible and that I would receive the code within two business days. For funsies I went and pre-ordered XV (we wanted it anyway) about an hours ago and instantly got a code. I think anyone that ordered first thing in the morning might have run into some issues? Maybe the automated system wasn't fully set up at that point.

You can indeed transfer to Balmung if you are paying. What the Website says and what is actually allowed differ. The website might reflect what SE intended or eventually intends to enforce, but for now it works 98% of the time. I've heard of it failing only once or twice for unknown reasons. Bear in mind that you can transfer up to 8 characters to a single server at a time if your payment plan allows for you to hold that many - so make all of your alts and transfer in one go! The characters must have existed for more than three days prior to being available to server transfer. That gets people a lot.

Unfortunately there isn't a simple answer for you when you're dealing with so many individual people and unique characters. Some questions to consider... What is the theme of your FC and how many people are involved? Does everyone get along well OOC? If this is a large group I would worry about cliques keeping newer members from integrating well. Do they have a need to work together? Is there some sort of central theme? Sometimes characters need a little push to get along. If there's no need to interact, why bother making friends if their personalities clash? What do your members want out of RP? Are they happy living in their little bubble? Do they want new people to be recruited? You need to know your members well. There needs to be contributions from all sides in order to make things work out. If their characters are so hard to get involved with, what can be done to make things easier? At the end of the day, the story is only what everyone else makes it. You shouldn't be the only one pushing for change. Friendly alts is not always the answer. The main characters need to find a reason to get along with others and be social if you want there to be something more than people splitting off and doing their own thing. Have the members ask themselves "What does my character get out being antisocial/dark/edgy/brooding/etc? What is my character's goal? What do I hope to gain from RP/What direction do I want to take my character?" In my personal experience, everyone needs to swing for change. I'm not saying that the characters need to change. That's something that can happen through RP with time. The people behind the characters need to put a little more effort into making a more social environment work. What's the point of being in a RPFC and recruiting more members if the current group is happy with how things are? (It's still early and I've not had coffee, I'm sorry if some of that doesn't quite make sense)

Hello RPC friends! Some might be wondering what happened to our old post and why leadership has changed. (Even if you're not, a little bit of history is always cool!) The lovely Brynhilde has passed the torch, so to speak, while she focuses on achievements and quests in the Real Life zone. I took over at the beginning of the year when some of our other members went off to start a new adventure and begin a new story. Now Leon, Altani, and I are holding down the fort~ We remain in close contact with Brynhilde and Tiergan to make sure that we stay true to the story that they created. May 2016 (on the 26 month anniversary of the FC) saw the reintroduction of Aeon's MSQ completely lead by our new little Vanguard team, and so far it has been a blast! We have a lot of great plans for the future that we can't wait to start work on. Aeon remains everything that it originally was before. We still value quality RP and having a tight-knit, close community. It was my personal promise to Bryn and Tier that we uphold the same excellent standards and just being an awesome group to be apart of. It is with great honor that I officially take over this FC and tale.
