  1. "I think I'm going to go now..." He stood and placed his spear over his shoulder before turning to Alothia and bowing to the woman. "Thank you for the drink, it was nice to see you again." And with a final look around the tavern he quickly made his retreat out the door!
  2. And just like that he was stiff as a board getting the completely wrong idea when Abai brought up performance issues. "Wha... WHAT?!" Was all he was able to stammer out as he cheeks flushed and he busied himself by chugging down the rest of his wine.
  3. He tilted his head some and an ear twitched as he thought over Abai's request. "A spar? Well I could use the practice but I'd rather use my spear over a sword if that's alright." A bit of his usual timid nature around women was starting to show once again. He let his tail swish around while his sipped from his glass. "Would be good practice for you too I'd think since chances are you won't always be fighting an enemy that is holding a sword."
  4. "I like the extra reach it offers." He shrugged as he brought the glass to his lips to taste the sweet wine with a little smile. The lad would be considered pretty tall for his kind and his muscles were already well toned though he was still on the slender side of builds. "I've trained a bit with the sword and axe too but I find it easier to move and strike when I can keep my enemy a decent distance from my face." He grinned a bit before taking another sip of the wine.
  5. "Hmm? Oh! Yeah the Brittle Bark stuff was good..." He paused a moment to look at both women as they talked of dancing and took notice that Alothia had pulled out quite a bit of gil. It also seemed that the lad was too worn out to worry about thoughts of women even after Alothia brought up the conversation. Instead he shrugged to Abai and leaned the spear against the bar. "Spent most of the day training. I finally figured out what weapon I like best so I thought I'd get started is all." His tail swayed a bit behind him as he spoke and his ears wiggled a bit when he was finished.
  6. The young male pushed his way by the door and stopped to blink at Abai after he entered. Today he was only wearing a pair of shorts, some sandals, and a spear hung from his shoulder by a small rope as he patted some sweat from his face with an old rag. "Uhm..." Was all the lad could say before he hurried over an empty stool at the bar. U'zhan pulled out a few gil to pay for a drink and just set them in front of him before he noticed Alothia. "Oh! Hello Alothia, it's good to see you again." He gave the familiar woman a small wave.
  7. *Wiggles his ears as he waits for the pie.* Ohaithar! Welcome welcome!
  8. ... That male miqo'te at 00:45 looks like U'zhan without the face tattoos.
  9. I'm 24 and I don't exactly know when I started the RP thing. What I can say is that I've always loved and been pretty good at acting and stuff like that ever since I was really little.
  10. *cleans blood from face* Why you bleed on me? D: BECAUSE, it seemed like the right thing to do at the time? c:> WELL! Fine... *sits in lap*
  11. There is a good chance I won't be able to make this one as I have plans to spend the weekend out of town with a friend. I expect to see screen shots and stories of what Merri lost this time!
  12. I...just nose bled. Those colors, man. I need to get art from you somehow, some time. I need to. *throws all the gil* *cleans blood from face* Why you bleed on me? D:
  13. Haven't messed with the UI but good to see you can put an action bar off on the side like that so I'll probably use something like this myself.
  14. I'm going to go ahead and say that it may actually be that extinct horse or something similar considering some of the other totems are of real world animals such as the bear or viper and I haven't seen any representations of them in game yet. On the other hand I could be completely wrong as this is just speculation afterall.
  15. This is also a fantasy setting and as much as I personally like to take a step back and look at it in a sort of grounded and 'realistic' view (Such as those shadey areas in the cities where questionable acts have most likely happened.) it still comes down to it being a fantasy setting so our real world genetics might not apply and for all we know the eatherite could also have some effect on things. Just my 2 gil anyways.
  16. I'm going to go ahead and say use the legacy character. My thoughts behind this is because the vast majority of people who will be playing (be it at launch or sometime down the road) won't experience the legacy stuff.
  17. This is about keepers of the moon of course but with regards to it being a small family unit what happens if all the older females die, does a male take over or does the responsibility go to a younger female (dependent on age of course). If they bought a mate in for the oldest male from out side the family what happens, his children become part of her family but does the family group keep control or does the new older female become the lead. Given the ratio with Miqo'te male to female. If in the above said family group there were two younger females and an older male would the two females try and find a mate each from new tribes or would they share one. It can all get a little complicated having a female ruled society with very limited access to males, I mean we don't want any inbreeding or anything like that... Honestly I'm not sure how the whole thing works and there is a lot of messy gray areas there. I can speculate that after a female reaches the right age she ventures out to start her own family unit and that would be tough considering the lack of males. It's just the way the lore describes the Keepers makes me think their family units have mom, dad, and the kids until they come of age and start their own family as compared to the seemingly much larger Seeker tribes. A small note about the nunhs. I agree that they still have to gain the favor of the females as there is a bit of dialog in... Forgotten Springs... I think that's it! ANYWAYS! There are a couple of female miqo'te sitting on a rock by a stream and one of them mentions that he doesn't seem to care about his duties or something along those lines.
  18. I believe my steam ID is Aketsu same goes for my xboxlive gamertag but I haven't been on my xbox much lately.
  19. That was actually a Mirrorknight from FFXII http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Mirrorknight Buuuuut....I wouldn't put it past them to add Yagudo to this game. We did get Mamool Ja after all. Ah, and yeah there are quite a few of the FFXI beastmen around. I remember hearing something about them not putting in Orcs, Quadav, and Yagudo though. Will just have to see though and there are always expansions.
  20. *Blink blink* Did... did I see something that looked like a Yagudo from FFXI? Eeeeeeeeeeee.
  21. Personally I'll be on Balmung but I do wish those on Gilgamesh the best of luck!
  22. I have to agree with this in that Khaze'to is not savage at all, they are just a small family that lives in the woods hunting and gathering, they are really quite friendly once you get past that rough exterior I would disagree however with the surname thing as that is only for sun seekers. Keepers of the Moon do use surname as a key indicator of family line. Yeah I should have mentioned that the surname thing was for Sunseekers and not Moonkeepers. It slipped my mind because to my understanding Moonkeepers don't actually have tribes and just smaller family units.
  23. From what I've read and come to understand Miqo'te tribes aren't a group of savages like the tribes of WoW trolls for example as that might push the race to being a bit more like the some of the beastmen tribes. Actually if I'm not mistaken one of the quest hubs later on is a tribe's village with a single building holding some representatives from Ul'dah. (I didn't go into the building but it had Ul'dah's flag on it by the door so that's just me assuming.) I myself am playing a male from one of the tribes but there are a lot of others who aren't and like mentioned before most of the NPCs in the city states have names that follow the tribal naming conventions. I also find it helps to think of the tribes as more of just a big family. Instead of looking at the surname to tell what family they are from you look at the prefix of their first name.
