  1. I have a fairly decent complexion, being Germanic/Slav in blood, and enjoying being outside. But that kind of dusky skin that Kyr has.. I'm not entirely sure how one naturally gets it in the first place, in IRL terms.
  2. As far as Physiques go, Kyrio prefers someone slightly smaller than him, because a head on his shoulder or in his chest is win. With a smaller breast. Not rail thin - he doesn't like seeing ribs. But though that's his preference, the fact that he's been seen flirting it up with a lady-Roe, he doesn't let it hold him back.
  3. I am in love with.. The freaking effects.. in this game! (below is Khoba tending to Kyrio's weariness after the latest Grindstone. The ended up throwing lavender and lemongrass in the water in the attempt to make the bath water both relaxing and refreshing! But I was digging hard on the fog effect.)
  4. And Cass was a blast to play with too! Would RP with again. =B
  5. Gonna quote the rules on my stance. I take this literally. If I've said something, then it means I've read it over and assume it's going to stick around, whether it makes or breaks me is of my own responsibility. But that's just it. I'm accepting responsibility for whatever I type, which may not be what others are always doing. Even though it was just posted, I felt like I needed to quote this to make sure people get a good read. Earlier in the thread it was mentioned, if you're in an emotional state, don't post. And I treat this like I treat work emails. I'll write it up, look it over. Tweak it. Look it over again. Read it to myself to make sure it sounds good. Yes, aloud. IMO, the RPC is needed. We need it to help track common events, and serve as the common ground to make connections and have conversations. Conversations demand civility. We don't need thicker skins. We don't need this that or the other taken away from us. IMO, we need to be reminded that we're working for the same goal. Now, I'm not saying we all join hands and sing Kumbaiya. We have our opinions, we're entitled to them, and we get to voice them. HOW we say them is the fulcrum to what seems to be a lot of problems. Its like the story of the old man who had two wolves in his mind. One basically good, one basically bad. And they're fighting with eachother, all the time. But which one wins? The one the old man feeds.
  6. So is putting things over your face and making them look cool.
  7. Kyr would totally love to show up. But I since I don't think he knows any of those involved ICly, I can't find an IC reason why he'd be there. Here's hoping to him meeting Clio or some of the party planners beforehand!
  8. Careful what you wish for. Kyrio likes attention. >_> And Bri is a super helpful and friendly person here on the RPC. Probably one of the reasons why the want to RP is returned.
  9. Counter-Rant: People in DF, of ANY class, who absolutely insist on a speed-run and act like spoiled toddlers if the rest of the party might, indeed, have new players, or if they want to uncover the whole dungeon area, or who COULD perform their roles if one player wasn't charging ahead full blast without warning and yelling at anyone who doesn't keep up. And yeah, Tanks, I love you for taking the hard role, but if you do this and you're a jerk about it, go lick Trachtoum's subligar. I have to admit it. When I have Kyr in his WAR outfit, I can be a liiiitle bit jerky. I don't do care for speed runs but... I always have my signs up. Even though I'm typically 'Type B', as soon as I gain a modicum of control I turn into 'Type A'. I don't say anything until someone just does their own thing. But as soon as they do I'm like 'Follow my signs. If you attack something other than 1 while 1 is still up and you pull it off me? You're tanking it.' You don't know how many times the DPS have bitched at me because I demand people play by the Tank's rules. At least when I'm the one tanking. =B
  10. My honest suggestion is to grind out soldiery as best you can and get yourself decked out in i100 gear from Revenant's Toll as soon as possible. It's a little tricky given how difficult it can be to grind tomestones without having Expert Roulette unlocked, but unless I'm mistaken Main Story Roulette and Low Level Roulette at LV 50 do give soldiery tomes (can someone in-game atm confirm this please?) Grinding CT and Binding Coil for i80 and i90 gear generally isn't worth it, in my opinion, because you're up against seven other people who are rolling greed on it, and up to three others (if you're DPS) who are rolling Need against you. Now contrast this to soldiery farm which, once you have enough tomestones, guarantees you a piece. Some of the higher level post-50 dungeons also drop i80 gear, tokens you can trade in at Toll for i90 pieces, and i100 pieces, and for these drops you're only rolling greed against three others and Need against up to one other. Please bear in mind that I'm running current content and am not familiar with the difficulty in gearing up enough to get into the dungeons that drop those things. I noticed it earlier today. As soon as you hit 50, the roulettes give you soldery tomestones.
  11. I'm totally for it! Putting some voices into normally silent cut-scenes would be awesome. Of course, I've never done any of the Hildebrand stuff, so I don't know how silent those cut-scenes actually are. But judging by the short time that their lips flap, I'd assume they're pretty quiet. I'm no audio engineer. And I don't know if I'd do voice-overs very well, so PLEASE take this with A VERY LARGE GRAIN OF SALT. But I get that since there's only two people doing this work, they needed distinct voices to differentiate the speaking members. But in doing so, please remember to speak clearly. Since I've never seen any of this and kept the player in thumbnail mode, there were a few times where I just couldn't understand what was being said. But to complete the compliment sandwich, I thought it was overall very well done, and I look forward to seeing more!
  12. I'll admit it. Things that are kinda... deep? I tend to just not go into. I tend to try to get a general idea of lore, so I can make characters that makes sense, but situations like those being spoken of above would be a reason why I don't try to become well-versed. Because if I felt like I knew everything, I'd try to express it. And I know from experience from past games, when someone tries to play the schoolmarm, bad things just happen. It's just a game. It's a game we all play in. And generally speaking, we're friends. Can't we all just get along?
  13. Kyr doesn't have any real talent, but bumping for endorsement and an effort to show!
  14. SM Nick does a real good job of balancing a bunch of his characters being at the same place at the same time!
  15. I'm all for the open world RP. But the rub is that it makes people who want to find you and RP with you have to scrounge around. Since we can't send mail in-game unless you're on the friend's list, and you can't add the friend's list unless you're both online . . . But it sounds like the best bet is the Grindstone outside of just going on manhunts to find most of you. Kyr was there last week, but with like 25 competitors, it's easy to get lost in the shuffle. Especially with two obnoxious Hyur shouting all sorts of strange things at you during your fight. /straightface.
  16. Okay. I'm making this thread because I've seen so many of you here in the forums. And a lot of you are like celebrities to me. And I'm wanting to both just RP with most of you for the sake of RPing with the great people here, and wanting to expand my RP connections. But: I've never seen most of you people hanging out in the same places I go trawling for RP. So, where do you people play?
  17. I haven't had the chance to meet Melodia, but open, friendly people are always wonderful things!
  18. Since T'caska grew up in ul'dah stealing and all that good stuff, there's a very real possibility that she ran with Kyrio, since he's done the same thing!
  19. Halone, the Fury — What is your character passionate about? ● Survival. Making friends. Menphina, the Lover — Does your character have any lovers? ● Sort of? Rocky ground. Thaliak, the Scholar — What topics or subjects does your character like to learn about? ● Stories about the outside world. He grew up around Ul'dah and as far as his character history goes, has only recently started exploring. Nymeia, the Spinner — Does your character have any extraordinary skills in crafting? ● He's best at leather-working, but not awesome. Llymlaen, the Navigator — What is your character’s dream vacation? Where would they go? Who or what would they bring with them? ● He's partial to Camp Bronze Lake. Oschon, the Wanderer — Where is your character from? Where do they consider their home to be now? ● He is from and still lives in Ul'dah. He's moved from the Pearl Lane to an inn room! Byregot, the Builder — What are the building blocks of your character’s personality from their childhood that determines their reactions and behaviors as an adult? ● The need to survive and be fed. Rhalgr, the Destroyer — If your character had the power, what would they destroy? ● People who abuse poor people! D< Azeyma, the Warden — Who has been the most important role model in your character’s life? ● Nobody. The closest would be Endemerrin, since he taught him discipline in fighting, but he's never really had a role model. Nald’thal, the Traders — What does your character do for a living? What is their favorite job to work on? What is their least favorite job to do? ●He fights for a living, doing things for the coin that keeps a bed to return to. He likes to craft, creating is a different kind of release than the adrenaline of fighting. And he hates doing NOTHING. Nophica, the Matron — Describe your character’s parents? Who is their mother? Who is their father? ● He doesn't know them, nobody knows them. It almost seems common, to play someone separated from their parents! Althyk, the Keeper — If your character could go back into the past and change one thing, what would it be and why? ● He would keep his former mate, Rasha, from being eaten by the Void.
  20. Going back to the OP, since I'm so very late to the party. First, yes, I'm a ERPer. OOC communication is wonderful. At the very first inklings that there might be relationship and/or sexy flings first seem to be better than a fifty-fifty shot. I'm not afraid to break out a whisper to figure out what's up. And if it's going to be a relationship, to set up ground rules. To detail the no-nos and things that are and are not comfortable. As far as the game goes.. there's sexual content all over the place. From the flirting around the docks of Limsa and Costa.. to the place north of Drybone.. there are a couple of.. uhm.. Ladies of the Night there to greet you first thing, giving you the ole 'come on'.
  21. Kyrio has been told that he's been charming. So he would try to keep the attention of the kids with a story. Or take them to the QuickSand and teach them the art of introducing himself into conversations, whether the other people like it or not.
  22. I won't lie. This sums it up. With the people I like, I'm in whispers talking stuff out. I'm obnoxious like that. And like Warren, i'm bad with the alt-tab. Whenever I play any MMO, I always play it in Windowed for my alt-tabbing pleasure. So keeping me engaged might be troublesome for those who slowly pick through their posts. And the feeling that I'm adding to something is always nice. No issue at all with random encounters, but things that never get past the skin may give short-term pleasure but lacks long-term satisfaction.
