Exactly. There is no way we can predict server population or personality right now. >_> I like the idea of just rolling with it and seeing what happens. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes not. However in the end, all you can do is make the best of it. *shrugs*

We seem to be good at doing this, yesss.
-
I think we outa stick to these 10, mostly cause they are the starters and probably most people will flex out to others.

I'm tempted to go with Cornelia. For 2 reasons. 1) Star Fox 2) "Welcome to Cornelia, I like swords!"

Ahh, my graphics card, how I love the and how you confuse all things that look at you. *pets Graphics card* You a good graphics card, yes you are, my business baby card you are yess.. Nvidia Quadro FX card is a business graphics card is typically is unable to be accessed by.. *ahems* normal consumers, but since I work on web comics and have a business name.. The game runs, I know it does, i know this from last test on Beta where they freed up the game to run at high specs. Unless on Open beta they crank it up more, which means i just turn down the texture from high to medium.

I have always played a mix creed of many races, though I am mostly known for playing male characters over females (Though RL I am female). I chose males over females, because I came to learn, if most players believe you are a guy, they will allow you to cut up and joke with them easier, they will tend to listen to your orders, and give you more respect. If you on a female, sure they will give you free items, but they tend to buck your orders, treat you like you don't know what your doing, and tend to try and do everything for you--- Which drives me nuts at times. I love playing Miqo'te and Mithra back in FFXI. Mostly cause I am a big cat person and my favorite big cat was the Tiger, followed by the Panther. This is perhaps the only female race I will play, and because of its following on FFXI, most people figured if you were a Mithra, you were 80% chance of being a male. Most of the time, I was thought to be a male cause I was "To good of a tactical person." or "Your to logical." Love stereotypes... The next race I played are elves, mostly cause I am a large mythology nut. Though the only game I break the rule of playing a 'elf' is with istaria, cause it has dragons as playable races. Can't go wrong with Dragons! Then if not dragons, lizards, if no lizards, then elves. You can start to follow the logic. If its mythological based, I will most likely play it at some point. I just recently started to play anything that is "Human", but mostly I dislike playing what I am. My thoughts are: "If I really wanted to stare at a human, I go outside, go sit on the street side, and watch cars and people go by." But when I have played a human race, it is always male, as the females always come across to me as.. well.. to be frank.. sluts. I guess I'm just strange person, or maybe I am removed from reality as my Dad likes to bark about, or perhaps I just hate humanity at times and use video games to just ignore the world for a bit in order to recollect myself. Maybe its even an artist thing? I really don't know. I just know I love mythological creatures, fantasy, and aliens.

The server names in Open Beta will be the names of the Servers on the Live Game. We know this to be true, unless SE lied to us all, and they are not going to keep their world. Something I highly doubt they want to do so early on.
-
You know, for some of us, this all depends on who can get in, make a character the quickest and see the servers and be like, "BAM!" However, probably until we do vote on a server, I probably will not be creating Vae or Koti till we actually make a choice. Mostly because I don't want to deal with, well, you know, getting so much done, then having to delete and redo for the 1,000,000th time. Bad enough I'm gonna have to do it again on the "Main" game, unless they are kind enough to let us drag over everything. >.> Doubtful, however...

New FF14 Interview: What you hated in beta is here to stay
Koti Nexus replied to Aveline's topic in FFXIV News
Honestly, I liked the wards. I found it fun shopping around, but that is probably cause I have the patience of a saint and found it sorta fun. That and spent most of my time crafting within the wards cause it was much quieter. The no mana Regen, also never bugged me. The mages have a 30 min ability which gives them back mana, at least when I ran around on mage, he had it. So I found soloing very enjoyable on a mage and wasn't bothered by the mana thing at all. However, that was my experience with it. *shrugs* Again, I apparently have the patience of a saint and played games that done, far, far worse to me. Now, the guildleves thing, that sorta annoys me lol. I don't mind if it was 24 hrs, or maybe 32, like day and half, but 2 days is sort of annoying. Not that I don't mind chasing down stuff, or doing missions during the downtime, but it still is sorta of like: ;;; But probably something, like everything, I'll manage to find away around. Yay crafting! -
We should all play musical chairs one day.

I am not sure if anyone saw the news or not over on August 31st. I am guessing some did, but I thought I go ahead and bring it up. Though I will be hiding the details within Spoiler boxes. I am not sure if this will break the "Rules" or not, so gonna play it semi safe. But how can i not tell you guys about this (at least the ones who /don't/ know). Also, off the spoiler. They gave us a ton of list of Text Commands now (yay!) Apparently some which are still in testing, a few of theses commands are (cause i have to note them) /check - It returns! /friendlist (/flist) - Yes, we do get one! /emote (/em_ - WOOT! Yes, works the same way that all /ems do. /sit - This, one is awesome. This is what THEY say (oh, we Roleplayers have been heard <3) Certain emotes have special sitting equivalents. Also sits your character in a chair if the chair is nearby. >>Subcommands: on Switch to a sitting position. off Switch to standing position. Toggle between sitting and standing when no subcommand is specified. and ofcorse, all emotes are no / commands as well, like /poke, /admireself, all that fun stuff! Ok, I'm done now, you may return to your normal broadcast.

PS3 or PC? What you will be playing FF14 on?
Koti Nexus replied to Lukoya's topic in FFXIV Discussion
I'm going PC, as it feels odd playing MMORPGs to me on a console platform. Maybe I'm just to old fashion. -
"With us?" Koti purrs back to the other Miqo'te. "I believe that rum, hun, is startin' ta get ta ya cute little head." She says with a smirk before she snaps her fingers over at the passing waitress. "Ma'am, could ya get this gal here some water and loaf of bread? Thank ya kindly." Koti then relaxed a bit, before she stretched her arms over her head with ease. "Magic.. is an odd thing. Some got tha' gift, others don't. If yah sister can get in, iIm sure she would be safe as a bug under a rug." Her eyes then drift out the window once more, seeming to just stare out as the rain moved along the glass. "...."
-
Koti crossed one leg over the other, before she lifted the mug that she gained as well to the 'gentleman' across from her, "Cheers ta ya too, Rain and hopin' tha' ya travels always be a safe one." She takes a swig of the mug, though doesn't down it back as the Hyrul did. Instead seems to be more easy on it. Her silver eyes do glance over to the other female Miqo'te as her cheeks flush, this causes her to get a wicked grin, but was covered by the mug as she takes another drink from it. The Black miqo'te then listens to the other, before she places down the mug and trails her claw tip finger around the edge of it, as her cheek rests in the palm of her other hand. "Ya came with ya mother did ya?" She asks softly. "My, I hope she ain't ta concerned for ya hun. With this storm and all, tha' and this probably ain't the best side of town for stray kittens." She doesn't seem to say that spitefully, but with a hint of mild concern. "..and if ya like tha taste of fruit, they might be able to mix tha' up some. I heard tha' in some places, Rum can come in different flavors ta tha drinker's likin', but once ya get use ta it, its a rather nice way ta pass tha time with others." She says with a warm smile, before she sits up straight again and then takes another drink from the mug. "As for myself, I ain't got much of a story ta tell. Just a gal tryin' ta survive in a crazy world." She says looking at the mug for a moment. "..and dun think I could ever go back ta tha life I had either. Once ya make a vow ta somethin', ya life goes on tha line with tha choices ya make, and not wantin' ta drag family into it.. ya learn it ain't wise to go lookin back at the past, but stickin' ta tha future." Koti then takes another sip from the mug, "..all tha' is in my past is just pain and my sister." She then finishes the mug after that. Then a sudden switch of gears, as she then rests both arms on the table, with her tail twitching. "Ofcorse, I guess if I wanted to get down inta details, ya probably find it depressin', so I'll just say skip tha' and dun worry on it now." She then waves her hand absently. "I will say tha only thing good in my past is my sister, thou' she is studin' tha ways of magic when I left, and I hope ta whatever god she be servin' they are watchin' out for her. Magic was never my thing, though our mother was strong in it, like some of the other people from where I was born. I mean, even I might be able too cast a spell or two, but I dun even wanna try.." Her silver eyes glance out the window at the rain, "..elemental controllin', teleportin', light ta even tha dark.. Seekers of tha Moon.. Huntin' in tha' night. Tha'.." she closes her eyes before she smiles, "..just wasn't me.." The black Miqo'te then leans back in her chair, closing her eyes, and crossing her arms under her chest. Her foot now resting over her other foot, as she seemed to go quiet, that was till the thunder roared once more, which caused her eyes to go wide, and her tail to fluff a bit. "..blasted storm.." she muttered.
-
Sad fact - I did the same thing. Except mine was Red circle.. and this was before I learned what that circle truly meant. "A dodo huh?" "...." "It can't be that hard!!" 76 points taken. Dodo Evades 73 Points taken Dodo Evades "....shi.." DEAD
-
Koti laughed a bit at the Hyrul before she cut the last of the fruit and ate the last piece, resting the core down on the table away from the map, before taking her knife and jabbing it in it. "A map ya dun know nothin' about. Sounds like somethin' tha' could be quiet tha adventure, sugar. Hopefully dun lead ya to much trouble though, Rain. Ain't good for a sister ta be missin' her brother in these days." The black Miqo'te grinned as the other seemed to approve of the piece of fruit, "I'll make sure if I'm ever in town, ta show ya where ya can get some. Though probably ain't gonna be much around after this storm is done." She says with a hrmph of annoyance. Then she seemed a amused by the other Miqo'te as she apparently was entranced by the smell of another dish, though her eyes went back to Rain, "..By tha way, ya didn't have to buy tha drinks."
-
(( Sorry about that guys.. and why are you asking Koti what she is eating, now I have to come up with something when I don't even know the name of the fruits out there yet. Your so mean. *kids* )) The black Miqo'te's tail twitches a bit as she listens and smiles softly, "Ahh, so yah name be Rain, and it seemed ta follow yah in town, did it?" She says with a playful whim of a sound in her voice. "Gotta admit, tha storm is pretty bad out there. Though I'm sure it will blow over by mornin'." She then takes another bite of her fruit, thinking a bit before she goes to cut another piece, "Pirates..." she said softly, "..can be trouble at times, but not all of 'em are in tha same kettle of fish. Just depends on tha' motives they got, just like we all do, sugar. As for yah sister, I'm sure she will be fine, and as for tha' rum." Koti then grins, before placing another piece of the fruit up her lips, "..I might offer ta pay, if ya willin' ta tell me wha' this map be all about.." The Miqo'te then takes the bite of the piece she had, about the time the other shows up. She then hears the question before she moves the piece she had half eaten around, "A piece of fruit that came off a tree, unless tha' be a sin ta eat such a tasty thing?" She says with a sarcastic tone, but a playful grin on her face before finishing the piece she had. By the looks for the fruit, it had a hard a thin layer of skin, with the fruit inside. It could indeed just be your every day apple by the looks of it (or a fruit thus ken to it). "I am no master of tha fruits," She states, "But I've seen 'em sold around and on ships. Dependin' on your language ya be speakin', probably depends on the name. I just like ta call them juicy reds." Koti then cuts another slice before offering it to the other Miqo'te, "Like a bite, hun?"
-
The Miqo'te continues to cut the fruit with ease, then taking a piece of it her mouth to chew on it about the time she notice the Hyrul resting his elbows on the table. She finishes what she had in her mouth, before she goes to slice another piece with care. "Ta ya sister hmmm? I am sure if she knows yah not in any danger, she probably wont be ta worried about yah. After all, yah dun look like no push over from where I'm sittin'." Those silver eyes then glance over to him, she didn't seem to have any fear or really any worry that she could be evading personal space. Instead she just stayed very calm over the entire matter, "Though I guess before my rudeness continues, tha name is Koti, wha' about yah, sugar?" She then takes the slice she cut off the fruit and eats another bite of it. Her tail twitches gently once more, though when the thunder rumbles in the distance, her eyes do seem to glance over in that direction for a split second, before they return to him. Her tail at that moment seeming more agitated before it calms.
-
(( Ooo.. Rain outside! )) The doors once more opened it a Black, wet Miqo`te walked in. Apparently soaking wet, her boots clanked on the wood, before she placed her gear to the side. Mostly in an endeavor to not cause trouble. The clothing she worn was much like that of a pirate would be seen, and as she removed the cap off her head, she placed off to the side and rung it out with her hands. Her hair was blackest of blues, kept short and yet in a messy style. With the light hitting it, a bit of a brighter blue could be picked up, giving her hair a look of midnight blue to Indigo. Those silver eyes then scanned the room, before she took notice of the slow business, not surprising since the storm outside was being rather a curse more then a blessing. She could only imagine what it was like on the seas. What was the old saying again? Oh yes.. "Red Skies at night, Sailors Delight. Red Skies in Mornin', Sailor's warnin'." Those words faintly said before she let out a sigh and then walked over to one of tables. She removes a piece of fruit from her pocket, before sitting down, and as she lifted her feet to use a chair near her as a foot rest, she pulled out a concealed knife, and then started to cut into the fruit with ease. Her tail twitched gently, before those silver eyes looked over to the Hyrul with his map, "Ponder tha' ta long, sugar, it may start ta grow flowers for ya." She said with a playful grin. Within that grin the canine's were longer then a normal Miqo`te, so if the dark fur was not enough of a indication, along with the white tipped of her tail, then one could summarize she was one of the Seeker's of the Moon.

I'm in the USA and in Arizona, so-- I am -7 GMT with no daylight savings.

I'm just glad that I know the Gamestop managers at the ones I buy my games at. So I know for a fact, they will do good by me. Since my friend is getting the collector's as well, and my mom is getting the normal, so I can have those glasses and I'm giving her my helm. Though first issue on business on that is trying to get her laptop to play it and that isn't going to well. (Yes, my mom plays MMORPGs, but mostly because she can't do much else, so its her only form of some connection with the world, a sad connection perhaps, but better then none at all). Also, for those of us on Beta and for those of you just interested... Here is a list of our servers and the population. Note: You will need to probably right click on it and hit view image. *gets ready to hear it about Exdeath and takes cover*

Arrival at the Bismark- OOC Comment Thread
Koti Nexus replied to Nanapariri's topic in RP Discussion
*gnoms on you all, because (s)he can.* You know, that is always the fun part about being a female rl, and roleplaying a guy. You never really sure by ooc notes to say (He) or (she). I always found myself on MUSHes saying He when I am playing a guy, and then when I am on my gender She. I love roleplaying, I really do. Now if they just make Male kitties I be happy. ; -
Arrival at the Bismark- OOC Comment Thread
Koti Nexus replied to Nanapariri's topic in RP Discussion
I wanted to say thank you to all of you allowing me to RP on the thread with you guys. Sorry if my performance was sorta 'meh', I haven't Roleplayed on a Message board in ages. I mostly RP these days on MMORPGs and heavily enforced MUSHes, so I'm use to lengthy poses and live feedback with no delays. Hopefully next run, I'll be able to get the hang of the Message board and when we all get in the game, then seeing you all there. -
Vaelyn takes Katt's hand and uses to help himself up, though he keeps most of the weight off her. Tall Duskwhite is a very careful Duskwhite around others. At least he is. "Thank you then, Katt." Vaelyn glanced over to Shamad, before he looks back to Katt once more. "..It was nice meeting you, even if it was in a very, um," He looks back at the chair, before picking it up, looking it over to make sure it wasn't broken quickly. He didn't have a great deal of gil after all, "Very odd way to go about meeting someone." He then looks over at the two others, Loki and Siben, before back at the other two. "Well, I guess I better make myself scarce. Need to go find a place to lay down for the evening and then get to work to try and make a profit." He shrugs he shoulders before he smiles. "If anyone of you need something, let me know, I'll try to be of any service that I can be." He then waves his hand before he gives one last passing glance to Katt, then he does stop short for a moment, "And Siben, sir-- I suggest you keep a close eye on the book. A thief may believe it could get them a good fetching of coin or even worse things that you would not desire to meet." Then he heads out. (( Sorry for the quick leave, I also need to find an excuse to how he gets a hair cut. I have a plan for this, I just have to let it take its time to happen. ))

The Duskwhite laid there for a moment till Katt came over. His violet eyes glanced over and then smiled sheepish, "Yeah.. I think the chair.. and my lance, broke my fall." He smiles sheepishly, before he then inhales deeply. "As I told that guy," Motioning to Siben, "..The name is Vaelyn, as you can see, I am very much not from here." He chuckles at this, though still looking sheepish as he rises to his feet at last, then brushes himself off. "And you are ma'am?" Asking Katt with a smile.
