I'll likely use an underpopulated server and create a bunch of Au Ras (one for each voice) and test all the emotes and most vocal jobs (pugilist, archer... thankfully mages are not vocal) to make sure I don't waste my Fantasia on a voice I don't like. After I find the look and voice I like, I'll get back on Balmung and Fantasia a couple alts for my two new Au Ra side-characters.

I'll probably start with the simplest bit - turn Judge into an Au Ra using my saved Benchmark information and a Fantasia. Possibly send him into Ishgard and get DRK unlocked for him. Getting him into his "final form" as I've been jokingly calling it seems like the best thing to get out of the way first.

 

After that? Usual "new patch" process of doing all the story and stuff on Gogon and then again on Chachan. Then begins the slow process of getting the key jobs to 60 (SCH on Gogon, PLD on Chachan, DRK on Judge) before working on re-capping everything on Gogon.

I'm thinking I'll take Martiallais through PLD and get that to 60 for the armory bonus, while working on DRK on the side. I figure there's always a lack of tanks so having that at a higher level will mean I'll have less wait time for trying out the dungeons AND some more experience when I level Zarek to 60 on MNK.

I'm really hoping the MSQ itself is enough to fill those 10 new levels. It'll make getting that armory bonus easier, allow me to cap a class for my guys, and avoid having to do... like... FATE grinding and stuff to fill the dead space. Seriously, I'll be miffed if I hit, like, 54... and I'm stuck grinding EXP to hit 55 and continue the quest line or something.

I'm glad that there's so much to choose from that deciding on what to do is so hard! I know I'll definitely unlock flying first on my mains. Then get the new jobs. After that... Not entirely sure if I'll level the new stuff or get to 60. Maybe a mix of both depending on my mood. I'll take on the MSQ at a leisurely pace.

 

I think more than anything, I'll mostly be exploring every nook and cranny of the new maps for the first week or so.
