How would your character react to surprise ghost prank?

And it made me wonder how other people's character would react to someone doing that to them. It's a classic prank! And we have ghost costumes in-game! SO!

 

How would your character react to the very old surprise ghost prank?

 

My characters:

 

-Leih would shriek and look for the higher possible position. If there is no trees or buildings, people are fair game.

 

-Altani will stare... then send Ifrit-egi to burn whoever dared.

 

-Araki would simply walk away and never even direct a word at the person.

 

-W'rhika is blind. He wouldn't be as surprised. He would just raise a brow and laugh.

 

-Kuro would be the ghost. Adorable little girl needs to be adorable.

 

-Azul... she would probably cry. A lot. She hates surprises.

 

 

That's all my characters! What about yours?

I actually covered this earlier while chatting with a friend:

Taejin's shot enough voidsent in the face (or what counts as one) that ghosts, jump scares and whatnot typically don't phase the guy anymore. But, just to be snarky, he'd wait till after the offender unmasked to yell.

 

...though on the offchance you did get him, his eyes would water. He's a quiet crier.

Cecily: "AHHH!" And then they get punched in the face.

Liara would probably just start laughing hysterically and would think it was funny. Zhara on the other hand might actually scream or hide, depending on how realistic the prank was.

If it is like the video- for Ehfi- a minimum show of being startled...if somehow manage to not step on something that would make noise...very light flinch and probably a stare in silence. 

 

If she heard ya- it is a blank face that is bordering on the look of confusion. (Depending on how I feel and if friends- a boop is in order.)

It would startle most of my characters or at least give them a little start. Sara, however, would faint.

Jump and gasp, and then take about five minutes to catch her breath, I think! :-D

This happened to one of my characters last night...

 

Ghost: -Stands there-

Rin: "GHOST!" -kicks rock at Ghost's head-

Ghost: "Owww..."

 

Yuki: Yuki would act like Rei, and exercise the person.

[Gerel Kha]

Gerel's immediate response to anything that surprises or sneaks up on her is to put a gap between them so that she can study her attacker and prepare a counter. After seeing that it's just a prank, she'd probably stare in silence as she quells her embarrassment--then laugh. She likes a good joke.

[Raeje]

Raeje: *Stares at the ghost for a minute. Blinks a few times, to see if it stays there. Turns her back on the ghost. Turns back to see if it's still there*

"Um, hi, so errr, I'm not imagining you?"

*freezes for a minute, trying to process the information*

"Oh, Oh...Crap!"

*Scratches head. Shakes head. Blinks vigorously. Sniffs*

"Do you smell cheese? No?"

"Ok. I'm demoralized, disheartened, disquieted, just a little intimidated, peterbed,  terrorized, unhinged and unnerved."

Arblis would leap away, and then approach again while chattering animatedly and asking things like "what does it feel like to be a ghost?"

Khun would be confused for a moment, then confusedly ask what they were doing and then maybe ask if that's what ghosts look like in eorzea.

Aigiarn would scream loudly and punch/shoot the ghost. 

 

Hihisa would faint.

 

X'cinna would go immediately into fight-mode, and try to stab the ghost.

 

Tokuko would just stare weirdly at it.

Kallera would either ignore. or get a marker and add "tattoos" to it. cause scary ghosts have tattoos.

Nonope simply stare at it for a second, tilt her head and ask "You done?"

Eses would promptly retreat up the nearest tree and beg for forgiveness for whatever that ghost is mad about.

 

Unless it's her moustache..then she would just run some more.

[Ookami Sora]

Ookami Sora is young, so his response would likely be confusion, followed by realization, and then tears. That or raw poutiness depending on the intensity of the prank and who pulled the prank.

[Illyriana]

Illyriana would probably crouch on the ground and start crying She doesn't take well to surprises and being scared. She'd probably make who ever scared her feel super bad lol

[Branson Thorne]

Savona Drake would startle and perhaps gasp a little, but ultimately know it to be a prank and would take it in good fun.

 

O'key Rvah would squeal with fright, turning white and passing straight out right away. Probably awakening, seeing the prank, and passing out once more.

 

U'khoa Ohhbi would be the least likely to give a damn, and would be more apt to pull a dagger and in turn, scare the hell out of the pranker.

Kitty would gasp, jump back and pull out her axe.

She wouldn't do anything with her axe, because she'd be too frightened to move, the axe would be for show.

 

She'd become calm again after knowing it was a prank, except a slight twitching upon her brow that would indicate she's really not a happy girl.
