If you wanna draw my characters, I have a post in the reference thread! Also, my anatomy is decent enough for full body drawings, but faces are so much more comfortable to work with, am I right?

His work always immediately comes to mind when I'm drawing FF characters now because of all the beautiful box art. So, perhaps a bit! It's really only my simple stuff that look like this though. When I try painting, things start getting quite a bit different. That's partly because I'm a very unorganized artist and don't abuse layers nearly enough... and I have the problem of painting on the wrong layer often and realizing it too late. Hahahahaha. Aw.

 

I've entertained the idea of actually trying to mimic his style sometime as an exercise to see how it works out.

 

You are so right.  My anatomy is alrightish. I just get pickier and pickier about my own drawings the more there is going on in a picture, I think.

Gorgeous stuff. I really like the style, and I can definitely see the Amano influence as well. What program are you using for these? It almost looks like paint.

 

I'd ask you to draw Shiro, but I don't really have a lot of references apart from the art I've made of him. I'll have to get on that sometime.

Her arm was meant to be propped on something like how you rest your elbow on tables sometimes, but it looks more like she's trying to show you her muscle.

I started trying to draw Fheng from the front, but it wasn't working out so well with the way I had his hair. I couldn't figure out how to make the bit where human ears would be if he had them look decent, so I let some hair down on the sides.

Thank you! I'm just glad they aren't all roegadyn because I'm finding their faces really hard to do so far. It's why I only have one mug of TS so far.
