Adolar Posted August 23, 2013 Share #3 Posted August 23, 2013 300k - 500k gil...I guess I better start working on my crafting skills immediately. I'm also really hyped about the Chocobo breeding. Hope there's some level of depth to it like how you could breed different colors of Chocobos in FF7 which had its own special abilities. Link to comment
Xha'li Moui Posted August 23, 2013 Share #4 Posted August 23, 2013 Thats...alot of Gil better get started doing those all HQ crafting leves. Link to comment
Noble_Einherjar Posted August 23, 2013 Share #5 Posted August 23, 2013 I'm really ancy to own my own house. But .. looks like a lot of patience and farming will be required. Still, that's my ultimate end-game goal. .. I think I already said that somewhere in another post. I'd love to be able to tend to a garden or something, too. Maybe wishful thinking, but having a farm would be nice~ That could just be the Harvest Moon kick I'm on talking. Link to comment
Dubs Posted August 23, 2013 Share #6 Posted August 23, 2013 :bouncy:*drools @ 25% crafting xp bonus* But honestly, I'll probably already max crafting by the time I earn that much gil :dazed: LOL @ 5:34 and @6:40 "SOOOOOOOO MUCH!" holy emphatically stated batman! Link to comment
shotgunbadger Posted August 23, 2013 Share #7 Posted August 23, 2013 I actually like the prices, it's high but not insane. You have to work for it but it's not something out of reach. I appreciate that. Also, unless I missed it, it's a one time fee right? Not a LOTRO/Aion style rent system? Link to comment
K'nahli Posted August 23, 2013 Share #8 Posted August 23, 2013 I don't see why fountains HAVE to mean a garden but okay! I hope so. Chocobo breeding.. bgvwydhagwbdnoawgdbawkdbjawhkdnawdawd ALSO!!!!!! Is that how you actually pronounce Limsa Lominsa? I always said it like: Lim-za Lom-in-sa whereas he says: Lim-sa Lo-minsa I dunno, the way he says it makes it sound like an ice-cream cone or something >w< Link to comment
shotgunbadger Posted August 23, 2013 Share #9 Posted August 23, 2013 I personally say it like he does, but I think your way is also valid in the community. Link to comment
K'nahli Posted August 23, 2013 Share #10 Posted August 23, 2013 I personally say it like he does, but I think your way is also valid in the community. I don't want to think of ice-creams or carnivals every time I think of that place! >w< Link to comment

Chakha Malqir Posted August 24, 2013 Share #12 Posted August 24, 2013 Totally aiming to get Scholar first, but at the earliest convenience, definitely gonna work on crafting! Link to comment

Is that how you actually pronounce Limsa Lominsa? I always said it like: Lim-za Lom-in-sa whereas he says: Lim-sa Lo-minsa I dunno, the way he says it makes it sound like an ice-cream cone or something >w< I've always put an emphasis on the "sa" too, I mean it just kind of rolls of your tongue, "Lo-min-sahhh". Also chocobo breeding is my fantasy. But by the time I get enough gil, you could say it will be my final fantasy 8-) Link to comment
Havoc Snow Posted August 24, 2013 Share #14 Posted August 24, 2013 I already had 50k on my own getting 2 classes to 20 and two other classes to 15, so if it's only 300k to 500k that doesn't seem that hard, especially for a FC. Six of me could by a large house without any trouble at level 20. Link to comment
Naunet Posted August 24, 2013 Share #15 Posted August 24, 2013 it's high but not insane. What qualifies as insane then?? @.@ I don't know much about 1.0's economy, but I do know there was at least one serious exploit that led to a lot of inflation... so I wouldn't judge these prices based off 1.0's economy. Honestly, the potentially high price annoys me, but I'm of the mindset that a basic house should be something readily available to all players. Perhaps I've been spoiled by Trion and Rift's dimensions too much (my god I love them to pieces), but that's just my opinion. ALSO!!!!!! Is that how you actually pronounce Limsa Lominsa? I always said it like: I've always said it as "LIM-sah Loh-MIN-sah". Link to comment
Niteshade_Rune Posted August 24, 2013 Share #16 Posted August 24, 2013 Aww, i wonder how much the small home will go for It gives me something to work toward so its cool either way, the Mist housing area itself was a lovely place. I'll settle for that free Inn Room tho, it has some space inside, but i'd feel better if they let us invite a friend or 2 in with us for meetings or rp discussions. The Wench's Room has a table with TWO chairs, come on. Even a dark loner needs a companion once n awhile lol Link to comment
Maeve Posted August 24, 2013 Share #17 Posted August 24, 2013 I love how they have set up housing! The only downside is how he mentioned that if you want your neighbours to be your friends you all have to go into the instance at the same time - which means you need to wait till your friends save up enough gil and are all ready to buy. :dodgy: It will be like herding cats. hehe Link to comment
CalemvirLucin Posted August 24, 2013 Share #18 Posted August 24, 2013 Loves. It. Can't wait to meet my neighbors! Link to comment
AkhutaiAngura Posted August 24, 2013 Share #19 Posted August 24, 2013 I'd save up enough for mine.. and then I'd start saving up to help my friends and would-be neighbors. ^.^ I'd also hope they would be willing to do the same. I'm of the 'Lim-sa lo-min-sa' pronunciation. Yaaaaay houses. >.> <.< Link to comment
Nightsha Posted August 24, 2013 Share #20 Posted August 24, 2013 1. I am positively in love with Dameon's signature, like wow. 2. I'm a little sad at how high the price is, but at the same time I don't really mind it. Just something to work for and FATEs will probably help. 3. Chocobo breeding! Link to comment
Dravus Posted August 24, 2013 Share #21 Posted August 24, 2013 I'll just be ensuring that I save as much gil as possible and avoid spending it unless strictly necessary. I'll likely set myself a reasonable target and aim to earn a certain amount of gil each day, with any excess gil being an added bonus that'll help me reach my goal sooner than expected. Raccoon Posted August 24, 2013 Share #22 Posted August 24, 2013 Somewhat absurdly high prices on things makes me fear the inevitable arrival of gold, er, gil farmers unfortunately. But I'm still really, really looking forward to it, and what deMontalia manages to do with one, having went nuts -- creatively nuts -- on the housing interiors in EQ2. FreelanceWizard wasn't a bad architect either in our base on CoH. *rubs paws together* Mwahaha. It shall be glorious. Link to comment
Therese Villefort Posted August 24, 2013 Share #23 Posted August 24, 2013 Whoop, that sure is nice! I dont mind the high price, i wouldnt know what to do with my money anyway. Also, im just saying LimLom by now. Link to comment
Threndual Posted August 24, 2013 Share #24 Posted August 24, 2013 Can you just imagine if an entire free company managed to fill up one instance? All the houses belonging to different members of that one group of RPers ... That would be PERFECT Role Play material *Dreams up scenarios involving township role play* Link to comment
Fates Skein Posted August 24, 2013 Share #25 Posted August 24, 2013 This makes me SOOOOOO happy! I've been saying for YEARS that LotRO had one of the best housing systems I'd ever seen and that I wished another game would build off of it. AND THIS ONE DID! *falls over, dead of exploding happy heart* Link to comment
