Y'uraq Tia Posted November 1, 2015 Share #652 Posted November 1, 2015 Had a blast as always, a major shoutout for the co-ordinators that make each and every week run smoother than a lala's butt. Rock on, you sexy, wonderful people :3 Link to comment
CrimsonMars Posted November 8, 2015 Share #653 Posted November 8, 2015 I'm sorry I broke the rules of the grindstone (icly). Truth is, I was not thinking when I made that last post about involving aether. I was going to ask to rewrite it but in all honesty, I really should of known better, and I know you can't always let things slide in life, so I took the forfeit. >_> Link to comment

Gegenji Posted November 8, 2015 Share #655 Posted November 8, 2015 With Warren off raising money for charity playing vidya gaemz, it fell upon me to serve as Arbiter of the Grindstone. And what a Grindstone it was! An awe-inspiring 55 COMBATANTS showed up to face off against each other for the title of Grindstone Champion. However, in the end, there can only be one - and that one was the Bridge Bracket Champion Jaliqai Qulaan. Special mention should also go out to our other bracket Champions, who made it through many challenges to get to the semi-finals: Rock Champion (Finalist) - Luca Yumitori Arbor Champion (Semi-Finalist) - Togy Brandmakt Prairie Champion (Semi-Finalist) - Lynette Dracht Congrats to you all, and hope to see you again at the next Grindstone! 2 Link to comment

First match on the bridge, and look who I fought against in my very first Grindstone... the champion of the whole bloody thing: Jaliqai Qulaan It was a close match. Link to comment
chaoticsleepy Posted November 8, 2015 Share #658 Posted November 8, 2015 Had an absolute blast, considering this was the first time I've ever even made it past the second round! Thanks to everyone that I was up against tonight. You guys were a blast! 1 Link to comment

111 Posted November 8, 2015 Share #660 Posted November 8, 2015 A Grindstone screenshot made the front page of r/ffxiv today it seems. That was me <_< I thought it looked cool. People on Reddit seemed to be impressed by it as well. Forgive me if it causes any issues for the staff. 1 Link to comment
Gegenji Posted November 8, 2015 Share #661 Posted November 8, 2015 I don't have anything against it. Heck, I was tempted to steal that screenshot for my post earlier. It's missing a nice screenie of the record-breaking line. Link to comment

Warren Castille Posted November 8, 2015 Share #663 Posted November 8, 2015 I got to enjoy it second or third hand. You are all amazing. Excellent work this week, everyone. Sooner or later we're going to hit that 64-person tournament... Anyway! I'm back from my thing! I'm happy to see everything went off without a hitch! Link to comment
CrimsonMars Posted November 9, 2015 Share #664 Posted November 9, 2015 I think I'm going to sit this out for the remainder of the year though. I still cannot forgive my major fuck-up that round. :dodgy: 1 Link to comment

I still cannot forgive my major fuck-up that round. :dodgy: Mistakes happen? No reason to punish yourself further. The issue seems to have been dealt with at the time and was handled. I don't think anyone's going to hold that against you on an OOC basis. And with the number of people who normally participate, unless everyone found out IC and reacted as such, I don't think there's a whole lot to worry about on that end either. Link to comment
CrimsonMars Posted November 9, 2015 Share #666 Posted November 9, 2015 I'm not actually worried about the OOC stuff but my character IC has been have occasional problems suppressing her aether energy too, and because it caused her to break the rules of the GS, she feels she can't compete in it anymore until it's fixed. tbh, I'm not the type of person that takes their mistakes lightly anyway. I think it's pretty cool that the Grindstone is being used in a personal story arc. It'll be here once you've finished that story! Link to comment

Warren Castille Posted November 15, 2015 Share #673 Posted November 15, 2015 Tonight! Grindstone #111! A record-breaking sixty-one fighters! We saw it all! We saw someone get impaled! We saw a near-naked man punch people into submission! We saw not one, not two, but THREE matches end with hugs! New friendships were formed, old rivalries stoked, but at the end of the day there is only ONE Grindstone champion: YUKARI SHIROGANE! I apologize for any delays and bumps we had tonight! The crowd was... a liiittle bit larger than anticipated, but hopefully everyone had a good time! SIXTY ONE. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE Link to comment
Illae Posted November 15, 2015 Share #674 Posted November 15, 2015 Looking forward to next week's Lircle! Let's get more people so we can fully encircle the rock! Link to comment
