Oh dear... I feel better now, I'm not the only person whose done this! Generally my mistells happen in Skype when I'm trying to rp with two different people late at night which would be rated more of a 1/10 then anything good. ( Also can we make like an official rating system? 0.0 it would be great )

 

There is a couple though, one was when I had first started playing mmo's my now ex-girlfriend needed a cleric for her guild and had decided I was just nerd enough to get into it. I was flirting with her in party chat while I was turning in quest objectives and posted it in the general chat channel. The guys that were there to listen were great about it, even if I never lived it down, but let me tell you anything like that I check prodigiously before I send it now. :blush:

But the most recent was when my friend said, "S-senpai" to another FC mate in FC chat.

 

And in all caps I yelled, "I'M THE SENPAI, BITCH" in a completely unrelated LS.  -.-;

In WoW I had a few blunders. At the time I was in a polyamorous relationship with a guy and two other women, two of them being gamers like myself. One night I'm in my dorm and they're both online and both of them start sending me steamy whispers. To this day they swear they didn't organize it but meeerrr...>.>;

 

Anyways, I'm getting assaulted with saucy paraposts of what they planned to do to me that weekend and I accidentally responded to one person with a text meant for the other. They both thought it was amusing as hell but I'm sitting there turtling into my jersey like an idiot.

 

Another one was one that someone else actually sent to me that was meant for their wife. I was confused: I don't like hanging barbells from my nipples.

It wasn't during RP, but in a dungeon. I asked in party chat instead of an LS "What the fuck is this asshole bard doing?" The bard left without a word. I cringed.

 

They weren't even doing anything bad.

I haven't had stupid mistells in FFXIV.

 

However, I had one pretty big one in another game where someone asked me his opinion on a coloring of a very... lewd drawing, and I MTed that in a RP-centric OOC channel. Much hilarity was had by all.

I've not had any big mt errors take place on FFXIV, but I've accidentally posted lewd RP into the gchat of a guild I was in on a different game on more than one occasion. Much fun was had by all.

This brings back some traumatic memories of that elevator mod for Garry's Mod.

 

As for mistells, all of mine in FFXIV have been pretty innocuous. However, there was one time during an intimate RP that someone else mistelled their RP in FC chat that was strikingly similar to what I had just written. I was freaking out for a few seconds before I realized that it wasn't actually mine.

I've had a few unfortunate MT'd regarding serious discussions sent to the wrong address *cough* and had to either backpedal or simply pony up.

 

BUT.

The most interesting MT I ever overheard was in SWG. A clearly very anatomically uneducated young man MT'd a rather intimate (and graphic) encounter with his male partner in the middle of a busy cantina on our RP server. It was both hilarious in its impossibility and embarrassing to overhear.

 

I wonder now if he was just really into Hentai... or was just waaaaaay too creative for his own good.

This isn't actually a story I was there for, but it was told for years afterwards in the guild I joined that I felt like I had been there.

 

On WoW I joined a raiding guild on a role play server which was pretty good at the time in WotLK. Before I was recruited they had a holy paladin that had a shoddy record of either being a good healer or very bad.

 

They were running Ulduar getting down the intro bosses, Ignis I think, and once again this paladin was playing sub-par. The group was working on doing the achievement so it had a fairly complex system to make sure the adds were handled properly and cooldowns were rotated to keep the tank alive, as well as one dps kiting for the achievement dps check burn.

 

Suddenly during a fight, this elaborate post goes up in raid chat which through many re-tellings of it was quite sensual and detailed, clearly a long way into a heated intimate moment, miss tell that the paladin sent. Mid-fight. In progression raiding. For server first race.

 

As I heard it, the rest of the raid (24 other people) pretty much stopped fighting at that point and let the raid wipe.

 

Vent was quiet until the raid leader said "No wonder you suck at healing." Upon which the rest of the raid burst into laughter and the paladin logged out.

 

After that I'm not sure if he changed names or changed servers or both. But his legacy lived on!

Once did an MT to my FC chat that was sooooooooooooooooo lewd it is unrepeatable in public. I left the FC soon after in utter shame. This was as Melodia. :blush:

I think I'm kinda lucky I'm playing a naive little cutie-patootie who will probably never be in any sort of ERP. I always have a nasty habit of saying party stuff in guild chat and vice-versa. FFXIV is extra bad for me about that since I keep switching which chat I have set a "main" and often forget.

 

A good example of that was last night when a bit of RP chat went into LS rather than in Say. Obviously it was nothing of import, but doing that always miffs me a little. I fear the day when typing "MT" becomes reflex more than anything self.

I've not had a saucy MT. I am particularly careful about that and usually try to do things, that may be considered romantic/sexy, out of the game to avoid that. Though I am waiting for the day.. Lol. Usually I MT things that perhaps look suggestive when taken out of context.

 

But ah, I have seen some interesting ones. Though I usually laugh it off when I see the delivery.

... Nightblades raiders have quite a bit of things they can say about me while I was blessed to be with them as my mumble used to be set to voice activity and my headphones are more sensitive than I thought.

I am very, VERY, careful about my MTs. I've only let a saucy one escape once in a whisper to my friend, T'shina, and she laughed her ass off at me. >>; I ensure to always have my party chat as my main chat on there, that way I don't let the world know how much of a romantic Chika is to her darling wife ;3

 

That aside I did, however, have a mis-type while role playing with Towering Falcon. That met in the alleyway, and Chika was interested in talking with her about her business because Chika was once a brothel worker. She never did the whole 'walk the street' type of thing, so she was rather curious.

 

Instead of typing 'most' in my post I typed 'moist'

 

I died a little inside afterward....
