Ashren is a bit hard to approach at times due to the secretive nature of his work (both his business in Limsa, and his position within the Order of Nald'thal back in Ul'dah). This makes him a tad paranoid at times, though despite that he is not lacking for charisma and once you can get close enough to engage him he is quite the charmer.

Social Profile

Fina is passionate for alchemy and is quick to ramble at length about the subject if given the chance. However, she's also an amateur researcher with special interest in Dalamud cultists and related academia which has given her a mild adventuring streak that is occasionally satisfied by outings with relic-hunters and mercenaries to ruins in the area.

 

She's got an unslakable thirst for knowledge, loves to listen to others talk about nearly anything, and will pry into your life with questions if you say anything even remotely interesting. Overall presents herself as a happy, competent, curious, and perhaps slightly naive woman.

Though she largely does her best to remain in legitimate business affairs, she has a few loose moral threads if you know where to find and tug on them. She's a bit gullible, easily swayed, and will probably lavish your character in borderline uncomfortable attention if given a chance to ask questions and probe. She's interested and invested in other people (even strangers) and kind to a fault.

 

If you're new, feeling neglected, or just want someone to pay heaps of attention to your character for no reason other than to stroke your ego, Fina is a good bet.

Kamome is a fairly recent immigrant to Eorzea who arrived illegally on an illicit trading vessel originating in Doma. She has come to Eorzea and found herself indentured by the privateers she secured passage with. She now works as a heavily-indebted laborer on the docks, trying to pay for her freedom. She fishes and cooks for herself, but hasn't ICly joined the guilds. She also knows how to fight with her fists and with knives from having to fend for herself on the long journey from Doma, but she is not a natural melee fighter at all.

 

She hates Garleans with a very intense passion and her primary goal in life is to earn her freedom and become an adventurer, having heard the bards sing of the Warriors of Light and their battle with Garlemald. She is very naive about Eorzea (she has lived all her life in a small village) and very much idealizes adventurers.

Having followed Inarah after her departure from the tribe, Kilid's an even more recent arrival to Limsa.  Quick to adapt to new situations, he's developed the outgoing air of someone who's all smiles and easy (awful) jokes.  Occasionally seen entering the Marauders guild, he's oft in the outskirts of La Noscea, putting paid to known threats from the wildlife.  More often, however, he's to be seen at Inarah's side as she carries oddly-shaped parcels to their recipients, or escorting merchants.

 

Easy to grin, whether it be a genuine jovial gesture, or the baring of too many teeth, Kilid has no issue slipping between the more common social circles of Limsa.

If Inarah is the brains of Jackal & Hide, Kilid's currently what passes for brawns.  It's not advised to shrug him off as a mindless oversized muscle, mind! (Those eyes are very, very sharp) While he isn't averse to the odd dubiously legitimate deal or fluid property repossession, his moral compass won't stand for Jackal & Hide stepping into the darker shadows of work.  Innocents remain unharmed, friends often receive the benefits of his work, and company clients remain fiercely protected.

Khalja is tall, like most males of his race. He is never one to start a small-talk kind of conversation, finding them to be utterly boring. He will only speak if spoken to first, or a conversation interests him. 

 

 

Khalja dedicated himself to helping and healing others the moment he became a scholar. However, due to a lot of stress, he started drinking heavily. He managed to meet a younger Xaela Au Ra by the name of Imani, who happens to be half Elzen. The youth actually takes more after his mother's Au Ra appearance, having horns and a tail while his sisters look completely Elzen. Imani is Khalja's mate in all respects. His drinking problem began to affect his relationship with Imani, so for some time Khalja hauled himself off to the Astrologian's guild where his studies there didn't allow him the time to even think about drinking. They even helped him clean himself up from that addiction, and now even the smell of rum or any alcoholic beverage makes him sick to his stomach.

I live in Central Time, in the United States. I do most of my RPing online, however I haven't had many because I get the feeling that other characters might find Khalja indimidating- he's had his darkness in the past, but now he's a much nicer guy. People shouldn't be too scared to talk to him. Since I'm out of work I've been on more lately, but my subscription might be up and I won't be online there for a while until I can renew it. 

 

Khalja is always on the go so it is hard to track him down. If you need a healer for something, he's the one for characters to ask. Depending on what the request is, he may ask for payment of some kind. Most of the time he does his work for free out of the sheer pleasure of helping others. So if you need help, don't be afraid to ask him.

T'eyo washed up in Limsa Lominsa sometime after the Calamity, the only known survivor of the pirate ship he was on at the time. He makes no secret of his past, but does not often share the complete details. He has since taken to adventuring professionally, though he has not been particularly bold or well-known yet, preferring to take jobs he knows he can handle but still test his abilities over risky ventures that could leave him dead.

 

Of particular note are his attachments to and interests in the city's orphanages and whorehouses, to which he donates a substantial portion of his adventuring profits - his way of giving back to the community that's given him a second chance.

 

He is a very animated individual, as well as an incorrigible flirt. He puts great stock into the words of fortune-tellers and other such seers, though he downplays it slightly, if only because there are stranger things in this world than there being a hint of truth in the interpretation of symbolism behind the draw of the cards.

Armi can range anywhere between serious and reserved to cheerful and rather goofy. Natassia was born to a life of privilege in Limsa Lominsa . Her father was from the House of Olorin an Limsan Noble and a high ranking Researcher working for the Grand company and her mother was an Adviser, from Grindania.

 

When she was 18 years old her world turned upside-down. Natassia found out that her parents had arranged for her to marry a Nobleman from Ul'dah after her 19th birthday. For the next few months she tried to get her parents to change their minds but the marriage was already finalized. She decided that the only way to get out of the wedding was to runaway from home. She was not happy with her soon to be husband, even though she'd never met him. Narivianna wasn't happy either, so she thought it was best that they get to meet before they were married.

 

She was awaken when her mother and father rushed into her room and started picking out her most formal gown. They said that her husband to be would be arriving shortly, Narivianna said that she made arrangements to send her handmaiden to the city to get the feast ready for him.

 

Now Nat knew this was her chance, she climbed into the back of their servants Chocobo carriage and they were ready to head to the capital. As they were leaving, she would hear the bells ringing her front doors we opened she would hear screaming and shouting she removed the blanket that was covering her to see what all the commotion was. Her parents where outside and she could see they were arguing. Her mother pushed one of the guardsmen and ran back towards the house, just then her father began to yell her name but then the servant placed the blanket over her before he saw Natassia hiding.

 

Present Time

 

1 year has past since she left home, Natassia is now just finished her studies, and is hoping in time to get an Advisers position working for the Adder Grand company.

M'ishakko, or M'isha as she tends to go by outside of her tribe, is a young healer, botanist and herbalist working in Limsa Lominsa. She and her herbalist teacher Z'ranmaia take turns tending their shop in the Upper Docks while the other travels for supplies.

 

M'isha is additionally associated loosely with the arcanist's guild and helps to identify the origin of illegal somnus. She has studied arcane geometries of healing but prefers her tribe's traditional remedies.

 

Her personality is helpful, nurturing and far less aggressive than many Miqo'te of tribal origin because the Marmot Tribe has adapted to frequent trade and relations with city people. She worships Nophica, a rarity among Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te, and she loves traveling to Gridania, cooking, healing others, gathering herbs, being in nature and has a fascination with the Miqo'te of the Keeper of the Moon tribes. Being found by a Hyru couple, she was raised and given their surname, which to some other Roe's might seem a bit strange but she never lets that bother her. When she was old enough she decided to see the world and learn as much as she can from it and has taken it upon herself to use her skills to earn herself a living. Her travels brought her to Limsa Lominsa where, after getting into a fight with a regular at the Rogue's guild, she found herself joining their ranks. That being said, she soon found herself traveling once again, honing her skills, learning new abilities and trying to test herself to the limit with each new style she acquired.

 

She spends her time working on whatever contract or guild related mission she has been assigned to. That being said, she doesn't like to stay too long in one spot as she likes to enjoy the world around her and if not under obligation is often found traveling the roads of Eorzea. Where she has began to earn a reputation for a smile being almost permanently on her face during the midst of combat.

She's meant to be a hearty, friendly and rather honest 'amazon' type character. She believes in matters of honor should be solved through combat, likes to boast, is usually the 'leaps before she looks' kind of person. Though generally a good and well-mannered person, when her dander is up, she will try to contain her temper, but if that goes over she won't hesitant to resort to physical violence. She sometimes worries about not being 'feminine' enough and will sometimes over compensate, even though she hates dresses and the whole subject often leaves her flustered. 

 

She's honest almost to a fault and though more combat oriented, doesn't mean she's dumb since she has had to rely on her own intuition and intelligence more often than not. She sometimes feels at odds with her heritage, being raised by Hyur, she's been trying to reconnect with her culture.

Jess’a is a loud-mouthed street-rat prone to prowling the docks at twilight, and pilfering free food and ale from the waitresses within the Drowning Wench when they’re feeling generous. His profile is far from high; and he’s seen as a general nuisance to most. A Miqo’te with an attitude problem isn’t exactly a rarity, and Jess’a - for all that he appears - is no different. 

 

Meta Profile

He steals from merchant boats and sailors when they pull into port at Limsa’s docks. He likes to pickpocket from the Drowning Wench’s inebriated patrons wherever possible, and he’s befriended enough of the staff to earn a free hunk of stale bread on the occasional slow night. Jess’a has no home, and if he has a family - they’re certainly not in Limsa. He’s a very, very good thief, but his feather-fingers seem to be one of the few things he’s good at. He’s struggling just to get by, and that fact alone is enough to make him very angry. He can be good-natured, he does have a good sense of humour, and he can be wonderful company, but the positives are often outweighed by the negatives.

It is possible that your character would have interactions with Aquila if they’re involved with the nobility, as Aquila is oftentimes called in for security purposes. Bodyguard, sure, but more delicate work is not entirely out of the realm of possibility.

 

Should your character have been and/or is currently in service to the Maelstrom, they may have served alongside Aquila during the Battle of Carteneau. During which, ‘Quila’s attitude was very noticeably different as opposed to what is is now. Most certainly less on-edge, the passage of time being out of war has had at least this good effect on them.

 

It has been noted that frequenters of the Culinarian’s Guild have seen a rather burly Highlander with auburn hair leaving with a rather teetering tower of ingredients and perhaps a new cooking implement or two. A worried expression might accompany the sheer mass of food, but whether the worry could be for the amount of items or for some other reason is anyone’s guess.

An odd sense of humour, a strangely polite demeanour, very fond of his freedom, and very reticent with details of the circumstances that brought him to Eorzea.

 

He keeps his promises, but he does so mostly by being very picky about which ones he makes to begin with - although considered an "adventurer" in legal terms, he truthfully seems to spend most of his days fishing. The factors which can cause him to take an adventuring job are seemingly random, although he often does so when he wishes to rent an inn room where normally he would have himself in a tent in Middle La Noscea.

 

To Rogues' Guild members, they would know that a not insignificant proportion of his "adventuring" jobs are undertaken in the name of the Guild. His role is to travel with suspicious companies or individuals, posing and acting as a bodyguard, while truthfully feeding information back to the guild on the nature of their dealings. If time is of the essence, he can also participate in the elimination of the individual(s) in question - he's no stranger to combat, or assassination techniques - although usually his colleagues can come in after he's finished his "duty" and handle it on their own. Off-duty, he has a vivacious mannerism, and believes vehemently in the anti-slavery portion of the Code.

Aghurlal's public reputation is such that he is a fisherman, capable of procuring uncommon produce via his unusual fishing style (utilising a harpoon instead of a rod). So if your character needs a weird fish, hit me up, I guess?

 

He is also rumoured to occasionally take bodyguard or adventuring-type jobs in order to make ends meet more comfortably. He's a name suggested if one is looking for bodyguards or otherwise seeking adventurers in need of work.

 

If your character is a member of the Rogues' Guild, they may well know him already. His fishing job isn't exactly solely a cover, but it definitely provides one. It's possible they'd been on a mission together, that Aghurlal had been involved earlier in a mission your character resolved, or that they'd simply run into each other at the Sisters' headquarters. He's been a member for long enough that he's trusted, even if he's not exactly anything resembling senior. I'd love to hear from people wanting his involvement in Rogue-based plotlines, or willing to lowkeyretconsshh him into their time at the Sisters.

 

And... finally... if (and only if) your character happens to be a Scion of the Seventh Dawn, then Aghurlal's actually been on their recruitment list for a good while now. It seems he declined the invitation once already. This is the slowest-burning of his plotlines, and I don't intend to have it resolved any time soon, but you're welcome to bring it up if it suits your character to do so. Might be fun!
