How will 3.0 effect your RP?

For various reasons I'll be going to paladin as a main after 3.0 launches, and I enjoy my main job and RP job to coincide. So Sigrid's started to look into sword/shieldy/armor things and there's still a lot of RP that she needs to do to go down that road fully. Might not entirely happen but it's the direction I want to start steering her in. Elsewise, she's always to be found where violence and adventure await, and if the pot is being stirred in Ishgard, she'll be there with sword and shield. Or axe. Or both, really.

Being a mercenary, he might take a trip there to see if there's any work to be done, he doesn't mind the cold too much (Not that he's really ever felt it). It might be awhile before Makyn makes it there.

I wish I knew the details of 3.0, because things are going to happen fast and furious for Aya (because of the story, this was not an intention on my part) and I doubt I'll have much of a plan going into it.

 

All I know is that it is going to be the most dramatic moment in Aya's life since she entered the gameworld.

I'm kind of playing it by ear for now. In the meantime I have some side RP projects, just trying to meet people and figure out what my options! I won't be committing to anything in particular just yet. This is because of the lack of Au Ra lore and my current roster of friends are all Ishgardians, heretics or not- it could be somewhat difficult to work with! Or more fun, depending on my particular flavors of RP.

 

I still would like to cement myself as something of an antagonist though, I can't imagine being too much of a good guy. I'm sure some nice things will happen along the way, but that won't last forever I'm sure.

Considering how the Sultanate is going to shit, and democracy will be the reigning power in Ul'Dah. Flynt's gonna go bankrupt. Which means one hell of a retcon session since I didn't predict that to be an actual hindrance. Already rewrote most of Flynt's involvement with the city so it won't flat out ruin him. Now he's similar, though instead of a hustling businessman, he's the lethal butler archetype. Gotta go find myself a boss and whatnot now. Though I kinda want to make Flynt a drifting type of fighter like Dudley in Street Fighter. Still silly, but now more workable with the incoming MSQ development.

So far the only thing which pop in my mind is : More pretty places to find for RP. Bigger playground, yay fun !

 

And absolutely nothing related to the content, what happen will happen, maybe I'll know some more about that the day before the extension will be out. Who knows where the RP will lead Ilwe until then ?

This has being an interesting point to me. Leanne has established a bit of a home/safe port at her current free company. But her wanderlust might make her abandon everything she built and disappear into the new lands. And she wouldn't be seen for a good while or at all, unless someone found her in the middle of the road.

The only one I have a strong and ready storyline for is Tahz, who is going to go fling himself into the war for revenge after he gets a letter stating that his mentor and surrogate father figure was killed in the resurgent war.

 

The rest of my characters are kinda "meh?" about it save for the ones who are primarily gun-wielders now being able to show it, and Ganale getting to be an emo DRK finally.

Lots of "Going into the Ishgardian highlands to train" by punching through frozen waterfalls and traveling to high-altitude floating islands to exercise in the thin air.

Ryoko gets to go home and be with her dad again. Who knows, she might have even found the sword by then.

Currently prepping Lacey ic  for the machinist class. She'll learn how to go "pewpewpewpew". Aside from that her partner is going to turn into something reminiscent of this guy.

 I've actively been looking forward to how we'll resolve him turning into an out of control loon for months now since he first dropped the bombshell on me that he was going Dark Knight in 3.0 and was taking inspiration from Artorias of the Abyss from Dark Souls. 

 

Aside from that I'm looking forward to being involved with other people's rp plots involving the new classes.

John, the old (but not aged) adventurer has not been northward since before the Calamity (he was at Carteneau as well). He's been adventuring close to fifty years in one way or another so no doubt he has been to all corners of Eorzea and such... (John doesn't just randomly talk about things like that so that naturally, so that's a good way to not get myself in a corner.. there's many things he's never even told his children let alone comrades)

 

He's planning to go northward in the coming months due to a "change in the winds" that reminds him of the precursor of the Battle of Silvertear Skies. His company, Crystalline, will no doubt find their way up there but he's probably going to push early and probably take his lady and daughter with him.. leaving his Alex (head of Crystalline) behind since JJ is JJ and he hasn't ridden a griffin to jump on a dragon to crash the dragon into a mountain in like 15 years. As for the whole dark knight thing, I've always had JJ as being a swordslinging juggernaught, so being able to represent that on my avatar will be nice.

 

He will spread pinwheels in the north once more! Please look forward to it.

 

 

As for Alex...

 

Alex has made mention at company meetings that the Grand Companies might summon the free companies to aid the north, prompting all sorts of goodies. While is not the avid adventurer as his father, he visited Ishgard in his youth with his mother/father/sister and made various trips to the outer reaches of Coerthas during his botany excursions.. less so since the Calamity however. In the coming months there's no doubt going to be some turmoil in his company as the work gradually grows more and more only to burst when the Battle for Ishgard hits, depending how we handle that company-wide.

 

 

 

Then there's Grace! Well, like I said in the JJ part, she'll probably be traveling with her dad or will continue to shadow her brother. I don't RP with her much but she's as powerful of a Fist as her brother if not moreso... she's just shy.

I've built up Javert to have a very strong dislike for Ishgardians. If he ends up going north in character, then I imagine it will be a fine chance to have him develop as a person. Perhaps his prejudices will wane. Or be reinforced. We'll see.

Oh I have some plans for my character Seia. I plan on changing her from lalafell to au ra. So I've been sorta thinking of a way to do that without having to do tons of retcons.

 

I sorta have an idea for it that I think might work maybe.

Invariably locked no further south than Ishgard. If we are in the dravanian swamp lands that means its either someplace I could have went or Ishgard is now making an aggressive foothold. Either way, sign me up....

 

I may even have Monsterhunter affect some of my RP. Idea of hopping out into the wilds to hunt very very powerful dragons

I have plans for Edgar, whose main profession is Summoning and understanding/exterminating Primals (something he does not do alone, before you ask), to travel to the lands revealed in 3.0 for the purpose of dismantling the entity Alexander. There are few better qualified for the task. Will he die in the process? Will he be tempered? We shall see.

 

Kopo's fate is more...In the dark. Depending on what happens in 2.5 part trois, he may lose his title as Sultansworn, as there's no guarantee the title will even continue to exist when Nanamo Ul Namo makes her announcement. If it does, he may continue as is, but if not, he may possibly become a Free Paladin or sell-sword to give himself a sense of purpose. 

 

The way things are looking, Ed won't change much, but Kopo's future could be kinda bleak for the poor guy. It makes me sad, honestly.
