It looks like they found the issue preventing the use of MSQ, Job, and DF instances and have applied a temp fix. Lighter pop servers should be fine now. Unfortunately, servers with high congestion like Balmung still can't use instances. You can also level alts. On certain servers marked with a star you can get a buff that significantly increases XP gained until lvl 60. Mateus is one of them.

So by instances do you mean the dungeon instances and the like? And/or the quest instances (the second SAM quest cannot be done due to "event errors" for example)? I just ask because I was able to load into the Rising Stones on both my characters before I left for work - and I think that's an instance as well? Unless the problem is specific to the new instances, of course... ... In either case, I hope there's some manner of hotfix or something in place by the time I get home, otherwise I might start the FATE grinding and such on SAM and RDM a bit early. >>; Both. MSQ, Job, and Duty instances are unavailable for the same reason.

I manged to get into Zalera with no queue times but the duty finder and all instances are down for the moment. SE is currently addressing the issue. Basically, all I was able to do was pick up the two new jobs and practice with them on a dummy. Good news is that they are both very fun.

The new incentives that SE is providing might help with building RP outside Balmung since it encourages migration to less populated servers. Several people from Balmung on this site have already expressed a desire to transfer or at least create an alt, so I wouldn't worry to much on this topic. Mateus may see a RP bloom here shortly. Maybe.

I'm not in the EU, but I would suggest you all swarm Omega and stake your claim on it as an RP server.

Man, I just had a thought. It'd kinda suck that we've been trying to build up the RP population on Mateus... what if the growth ends up being enough that it drops off the list of choices? I hope that doesn't end up being the case. Yeah but that's good news, it mean Mateas will have a stable population capable of supporting sustainable RP and then we can work on building up Jenova or Fairie. I play on Fairie with a group of friends and I can say that the server has gotten pretty full. I've seen some RP there, but its very rare so I don't think it would be a good destination for RP. It might be best to start on one of the brand new servers so that we stake our claim early.
