  1. Armi is actually a bard but plays the Guitar. She is currently learning how to play the piano! She sings too!
  2. I can see why no one wants to be in your guild.
  3. You're basically guilting people for making the decision that they did and not even saying in a nice way. "THey are rats that are looking for the nearest land! They don't want to to try to fix the server!" "according to everyone who jumped ship, the community is dead over here and not worth the effort or work to try and salvage or fix!" You have NO IDEA the reasons they decided to jump servers and you're getting all mad. Sure, part of the reason may be the decline, but no one makes a server transfer decision lightly because it's leaving friends behind and it's expensive. Come on man, there are nicer ways.
  4. To be honest, I haven't seen it either. AND if you look back on my posts during the server split, you'll see I was extremely defensive of people who wanted to go to Gilgamesh (I didn't agree but I believed it was their right to do so). However, if you feel like the RPC is negative at all to Gilgamesh and it's players, please let one of the higher ups know. If you see posts that make it seem like Balmung players don't want you here, let someone know! Go now! Look back for posts that made you think that and show a mod! They can't fix what they don't know is a problem. This website is for both communities and if anyone on the RPC is making you Gilgameshers feel unwelcome, then we should strive to fix it. (Note: Though if it's just people voicing their opinion on the Balmung vs Gilgamesh situation in the appropriate threads then they have every right to do so.)
  5. We have a guild member who is currently being "mistaken" for some "investigator" that has caused him a lot of trouble... and gets him ladies. He doesn't understand! Who's this investigator!? Sometimes... I worry about my guildies.
  6. ^ Man there's no need to blame people who jump to Balmung. It's their choice if they want to do so. That was so passive aggressive it must have been hard to pretend you weren't insulting a bunch of people.
  7. I think we're going for IN Mist itself. Since it's right on the beach and all. I can ask our "Manager" of the estate, Siben Farnesworth, however and get back to you. Night Blades is a medium RP FC and sometimes we get caught up in endgame so we don't do as much RP as we would like to (don't get me wrong, we have some heavy rpers in the guild) and we think buying up property for RPers to use without fear of bugging an FC (We have our own large house after all) or griefers will be our way of really helping the community flourish.
  8. Yup! Currently working on the "pit" in the basement because no one can agree on what it should look like! (Well, we all can agree that it shouldn't look like Captain D's)
  9. ^ It's kind of unfair to assume they aren't TRYING though. If you, personally, are in the inner circle of the RP community in Gilgamesh, you won't even feel the declined and that's probably how it is for you. However, if you are NOT, the decline will be felt much faster. Saying "lol it's not, how dare you! Go to events!" doesn't fix your problem and shows me everything thats wrong with Gilgamesh.
  10. HAHAHAHAHA. I'm looking at it right now because Ellion was like "Did you see this!?" and proceeded to order a number 3 at the window. Also, we welcome all the nudity. All of it.
  11. Once a Month Update: OOC: The Night Blades is still exceedingly active with 50-60 members and we have 3 raiding groups - Limsa and Ul'dah (Both in Coil2) and the baby learning raid group that is Gridania (New to Endgame? That's the one to join!). We have the X primals on clear and Twintania on farm. We don't skimp out on endgame! We, just yesterday, bought a large plot in Lavender Beds - making us the only RP guild with a mansion in the area, AND - after three days of 4-5 people just making Militia Chokers, managed to grind up a second FC called "The Adamant" that runs the soon-to-be opening Rum 'N Rumble in Mists (Ward 5, Plot 20). The Adamant itself will be recruiting soon, looking for alts of people who want to help with the Rum 'N Rumble to help make it a success! Our Guild has been such a mess of people /gquitting and then coming back after they helped grind. /Guildleaderproblems IC: THe Night Blades recently saw the loss of their leader, Ellion Goto. After raiding one of the last remaining Castrums, he sacrificed himself in order to try to save everyone else. Lum Delume and Loki Aethertide are heading up the search and a small team has volunteered to help find him. Contacts do not know if he's alive or dead, or even where he would be. Loki Aethertide has been made acting leader, while Siben Farnesworth is Second-in-Command. Most of Loki's work so far has been trying to Explain to the Limsa authority why so many cannons are necessary. The NB is also interested in finding Artifacts from the Lost Allagan Empire. They have been scouring Ruins and getting into trouble with their curiosity, though the reason for these excavations remain a secret. They have been on one dig so far, which resulted in a friend of the guild being trapped in the ruins for awhile, and looking through old books from their Crimson Blade days. This has made Fillion - a Garlean with a team still in Eorzea - very interested indeed and it seems the Night Blades and Fillion & Co. will butt heads once again! Recruiting is a thing we always do. We always make our noobs feel welcome! Come on down if you think we'll fit.
  12. It's the latter, definitely. The basement is going to be used for a Fight Club like event, but we're still hashing the logistics out on that one. And Yes, Aya, the property is one of the three small houses in Mist that looks out into the Beach. Really really nice area and the beach is RIGHT THERE.
  13. Ward Five - Plot 20 in Mist An IC Bar and event center, run by the NB's offshoot guild - The Adamant. Coming soon to an Balmung server near you. This post will be to get the word out of a new RP joint in Limsa, posting about events and the status of it. Currently, we are still trying to get it ready (No house yet since we had to move the NB out and into their large) but we'll keep posting news in here! Right on the beach, for all your beach party needs.
  14. Night Blades have gotten their LARGE PLOT in Lavender Beds! On top of that, we managed to raise extra money in order to make a dummy FC to keep our original small house in Mist. It is being renovated to be an IC Bar for RPers to hang out in.
  15. It's happened in some games I've been in before, generally the trolls stay where they are when the rp community moves, because they also start thinking of that area as their home turf. It's just a possibility people will try to branch out, which I'm all for. I think rp is too confined in Ul'dah anyway.
  16. So much this. I hate when people think the only good RP is when you're being a badass in a dungeon or something. There's so much more out there! I love plotlines and dungeons crawls and primal fighting, but not enough can be said for character and relationship building as well. It's all important.
  17. It's there in Ul'dah right now, if you stay out of Ul'dah generally you won't see it. I suspect the rper community will probably move to Limsa as a result.
  18. Shockingly, after 7 months, the RP community is still fairly open. There's people who are like "I only want to rp with my established group!" but a lot are willing to branch out.
  19. This isn't so much as a Chosen One storyline as "Anyone who was in Carteneau was skipped ahead" it could be thousands of people, the lore if vague for a reason on that. Like most things magical (and thats what this memory wipe is) there's probably something that prevents people from making that connection, probably because they haven'r really realized they've forgotten said person, foggy mind or not, so it doesn't really click. OTHER people know Warriors of Light probably, but not THEM. No.
  20. That's me! I thought I'd shed some more light on it. Her family has a vague remembrance of having a daughter, varying between family members. Her father barely remembers Armi at all, her sister has some kind of inkling of some memories but can't put a finger on it. Her mother is convinced she exists and she can remember actual events, but not her face. It was her mother who spearheaded the gravestone, because the only conclusion they could come up with is that she was dead. They can't really explain why they can't remember her face or connect the Armi name to the girl who's living and even came to visit them once. Armi, as they see her alive, is a complete stranger to them, but "Armi" this vague idea that someone is missing, is the one they feel any kind of connection with. This has messed with Armi's mind pretty hardcore, believing herself to be a living ghost.
  21. My favorite type of characters are pretty much normalish in backstory. I believe very strongly that I don't want an extraordinary character, I want a character where extraordinary things happen around her. She's normal for the world, usually a farmer or a priestess or a pirate, but crazy things happening around her and how she reacts are the most fun. I don't want to play that I'm super powerful. At the end of the day, it's boring. Where's the conflict if I can beat anyone who come across my path? Where's the drama if I can't train to get better because I'm already the best? I once played a special snowflake character when I first got into MMO RP, the worst part was people LET ME. She was one dimensional and uninteresting and used her power as a crutch to make her interesting. Never again. This normalcy never makes her boring! It's Final Fantasy, for instance. She's fought Garleans, Got skipped ahead in time at Carteneau, looked for ancient Allagan artifacts, been possessed by a Voidsent. These aren't grand things about her, but they happened TO her and made her grow. In general, I tend to lie to play confident, snarky, flirty types. Those are the most fun for me, though I will admit playing Armi the exact opposite of that in this game has actually been a lot of fun. I still have Loki for my snarky girl
  22. I think Grim is the only one I know of. More anti-heros than actual villains. Us Night Blades also fall into that category. If we're going with "The ends justify the means" as a factor of villianhood, the Night Blades fall into that a lot >.> ~~~ I find it almost exhausting to play a Villain sometimes. I have one - Isera Fenias - a Garlean Extremist who is a bit stuck up and raised in a noble house. She believes Garlemald to be doing Eorzea a favor by lifting them out of the muck. She's part of a team of villians who we have run around antagonizing our guild and anyone outside of it that wants to fight more than some shadowy "Garleans NPC #1" off in a corner. These alts have a long backstory and their own motivations just as much as any hero and most of them believe that Garlemald is doing the right thing. Playing them can be hard. Really hard. If Isera - or anyone in the alt group - makes herself known out in the overworld, it's almost guaranteed she'll be attacked by some "Hero" who suddenly knew where she was. Fillion, her brother, has it way worse than Isera does and people have actually gotten upset he didn't die on their timetable or didn't lose all the time. I could go into a whole rant about playing a Villain and how hard it can be at times.
  23. I don't really have a speaking voice in mind, when I hear Armi I hear her voice but it doesn't match anyone in particular. If we're going Japanese with it, her singing voice (And therefore default speaking voice) would be Eri Kamei. That innocent sweet songbird quality of her voice is just perfect. [video=youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KerLTcJJZQ Singing. [video=youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwqfxooXbEY Talking. Armi kinda looks like her too... and acts like her... I think I basically rolled Eri Kamei. But whatever, Eri is amazing.
