Why are the hair colors, especially the "weird" hair color choices different for each race?? The Miqo'te are missing like two rows of blue hues that are really pretty

Personally my headcanon (even though I haven't finished the storyline so, you know, mounds of salt) is that it's easy to keep down when not in use, but when you're channeling it, things get tricky. This is why I am treating it like Jane schmane's period. Because compared to darkside/inner beast, pms shouldn't register on your character's radar as a problem. To continue my comparison, Imagine you've a pebble in your shoe. Now, imagine someone is rapid firing paintballs at your face. You're going to suck up that pain of stepping on that pebble to avoid the pain of all them paintballs. In that moment, you probably wouldn't even feel that pebble.

Not from their ovaries, I can tell you that much. Well since we live in a world where we have much more comfort in discussing the mechanics of the masculine organ than we do of the feminine (the slang term we have for female arousal is "ladyboners" for pete's sake!) I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that it's hard to come up with "how would my character feel for 1/4 of her sexually mature life" if the player has not experienced a red tide of their own. And in the OP they did clarify that they were also wondering about the masculine equivalent (tho we all know it is overshadowed in the intent of the thread). Tho I may be biased due to my need to destroy the disproportional discomfort folks have over the mere idea of periods. '3' And yeah, I agree with you that it shouldn't be a big deal for a DRK. At most the magical stamina (or maximum MP) could be raised a bit for 3-4 days and then go back to normal without a single word about the condition of her laundry, or a warrior would opt for big swings with their character rooted more often to minimize discomfort that comes from jerky motions. But those are the extremes I would really bother to take it. A tiny bit of flavor to acknowledge that time is passing, and that's all it should really be.

I've pretty much surmised that the OP and anyone else considering how menstruation could affect role-play has never had a period IRL because I can promise you it's the last thing anyone who has would want to RP. I dunno what the point is. An odd fetish? A weird, misguided attempt to RP a female character more believably? Editing to add: If anyone really wants to know how a period may affect a badass warrior chick, I recommend watching Berserk. Anemia, cramping, fatigue, headaches, and low-grade fevers don't make for peak fighting shape. Tho, don't forget exercise can and does help to alleviate menstrual cramping (after that push past "ah god my everything hurts" of course). And the feeling I get from War Siren is more harmless curiosity mixed with some pretty common preconceived notions. Someone who can't have periods asking folk who can how periods would effect them in a fantasy setting is pretty much like asking deaf people how having a tail and emotive ears would affect their sign language. If you don't have any experience in someone's world, it makes sense that you would ask for some info before you try to portray it. /shrug I personally think it's better than pretending 1/4 of your sexually mature experience doesn't exist because you may find it icky. (I'm still weirded out by not being able to find a single outhouse in eorzea)

Hooray one of my favorite topics! I'd imagine most polite Eorzean ladies would have a rag/gauze pad to absorb stray uterine gore. The less privileged folk might just let the gore leak where the gore wants to leak. As for DRK powers, eh, it really does depend on the individual. Though, personally, if I'd have it do anything at all, I'd have it make it easier for the DRK to channel their magicks. Not empower them, or make them more wild, just easier to manage.

Having a successful pregnancy would be rare, and if a child was to be successfully birthed into this cruel world it'd have (in this case) scaley kitty ears, scaley patches where the miqote marking are (or marking where the scale parts are), and fur covered + scale covered tail. Eyes take after whichever parent you want. You know, on that note (and names escape me) but it appears that there is a Miqo'te in the ARR raiding questline who appears to have a royal bloodline trait. I never finished it, so this could be completely out of left field, but that does make me wonder if the bloodline somehow jumped races due to an interbreeding.

She's still a Miqit'ten And like real life kittens, their ears are oversized and tails stubbier compared to their adult counterparts' proportions.

Kind of upset it's based off of likes. :T This way we're less likely to see interesting/unique hairstyles and more of the same, but with "X" minor alteration. Calling it now, the ladies are destined to get at least 500 side ponytail entries.

This is typically my character's go-to attire. The wide-brimmed hat keeps the rain and sun out of the eyes, and keeps the ears nice and warm. The jacket is nice and waterproof and has a nice layer below if things get too hot. Bootyshorts. Belts and satchels aplenty to keep all the needed traveling magician items~ And the boots and gloves are nice durable leather, good for her treks through the everything! Nothing fancy but it works for a professional hobo. '3'
