Looks like another day in the good 'ol US of A. I'm rather sickened by the fact that our two prospective future leaders couldn't wait to dance on the graves of the victims in order to advance their own political agendas.

I'm looking forward to the game. I got invited to the betas but it won't let me download the game unless I assign it to an empty drive. I don't have any empty drives and I'm not going to delete a whole batch of games just to play the beta of one.

If you were caught using a spell particular to that type of magic wouldn't you automatically be given the label regardless of if you wanted it? If I RP as a Thaumaturge and use my own Aether for spells I'm not a BLM particularly. The second I draw Aether from my surroundings to power my spells a good number of people would probably be at my throat calling me a Black Mage regardless if I considered myself one. Then don't use that spell in RP. There is also the fact that most people who aren't trained in the use of Conjury or White Magic shouldn't be able to tell the difference.

September, November, November. Did you play anything from the other three quarters of the year? (This sounds way snarkier than I'm intending, this isn't a hostile or sarcastic question!) I did have some fun with Mad Max, but that game really does its damndest to remind you HEY, THIS IS A VIDEO GAME, HOLD Y TO DO A THING for the entire runtime. I did play a lot of stuff on my 3DS this year, so there's that. I don't know how much of it came out in 2015 though. I did play the Witcher 3 (I think that came out this year) and a handful of minor indie games. Other than that, I think there may have been a few others but I can't think of them at the moment. Edit: I remembered Bloodborne. That game is amazing in my opinion.

You could RP the White Mage archetype without actually accepting the title. That seems to work for some folks.

I don't know, this year didn't seem too bad. I had a lot of fun with Undertale, Fallout 4, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Well, that's pretty much it. I'm mostly looking forward to summer next year when Overwatch is supposed to come out.

As Eilora took in the view of the Wander's Palace, she was overcome with feelings of excitement for tomorrow. Of all the ruins she had studied, those of Nym always had a certain special something that drew her back time after time. It was then she noticed, silhouetted in the light of the altar, there seemed to be a humanoid figure seated at the top. In the darkness, it was impossible to make out any details of the figure. Eilora felt that old feeling of curiosity, that so often led her into trouble, stirring up within her. "Now who could possibly be out by the altar this late at night? Probably up to no good" she said to Bunky. At the same time she began walking in the figure's direction. The carbuncle gave her an impatient nudge and a light slap in the face with its tails. "All right, all right. You can go on, then. I'm just going to take a quick peek" she said. With that, Bunky hopped into the air and disappeared back to the aetherial plane. Eilora pushed her slipping glasses back up the bridge of her nose and began walking toward the altar.

Eilora, a young Xaela woman, made her way along the ancient partially sunken roadway of ancient Nym. A small Topaz carbuncle was trotting along side her. It was a warm, clear night and the stars sparkled brightly in the night sky. Across the lake, the ancient temple once dedicated to the Wanderer seemed to sparkle on the surface of the water. It was a lovely night, but Eilora was far too exhausted and irritated to appreciate her surroundings. She had been traveling all day from Limsa Lominsa toward the Floating City of Nym to further her studies of the ancient ruins. Unfortunately, she had been ambushed by grass raptors in outside of Wineport and her chocobo, Miu, had bucked her off and fled in a panic. Eilora was forced to continue on foot, but it was nearing midnight and she still fairly far from the Floating City. In addition, she would have to cross through kobold territory and she didn't relish attempting that in the dead of night. As she walked, her carbuncle jumped up onto her shoulders and lay across them. Eilora patted the it on the head, "I'm tired too, Bunky. What do you say we stop for the night at Camp Bronzelake? We can continue on in the morning." Bunky gently nudged her cheek in agreement. Eilora approached the entrance to the camp, but paused to look in the direction of the Wanderer's Palace.

I'm not sure what you mean by starter thread? I've never done RP on a forum before. I mean like, I'd start a thread with an opening post then you'd reply and we go like that. I'm on Tonberry, not Balmung, so yeah. I've RPed on tumblr and twitter and that's usually how it starts, if you're okay with that. That sounds fine, though I'm on and off the forums at random times due to work. If that's ok with you then it's fine. That's fine! In all honesty I should be asleep by now but yeah. Ok then. Just send me a PM whenever you get started.

Hey! Cecilia is also a traveling scholar/archaeologist from the Sharlayan motherland. She's skilled with multiple forms of magic, but specializes in Arcanima. I'm free most evenings after 7:30 PM eastern.

I never much cared for the show, but I'm happy for those who are excited for it.

I like the fact that you can switch between characters during combat. That looks pretty cool.

1.) She's become desperately lost (again) and is forced to ask directions. 2.) The person she is approaching is reading a particularly interesting-looking book. 3.) She's overheard the person mistakenly give incorrect facts about a particular topic. When she hears this she feels compelled to enlighten them. 4.) The person is a vendor and she wishes to purchase something. 5.) The person has wondered into an archaeological sight she is studying and she wishes to remove them before they break something.

Of course, as far as we know, Russia isn't committing a second Rape of Nanking and Japan didn't violate US airspace repeatedly before Pearl Harbor. Not yet, thankfully.

Yup. Was posting from my phone. Let's see...If Turkey is blocking Russia's trade routes, then Turkey would be US and Russia would be Japan, I guess. Either way, this has the potential to escalate quickly and explosively.

SE stated once that they only allow lying down in homes is to make it harder for ERPers to do their dirty business. ..Did they actually state this? I can't imagine them actually saying this. Implying possibly... I believe they said something along the lines of not wanting players to be "abusive" toward each other. I just put 2+2 together.

I try to keep my curses lore friendly. Words like "fuck" and "bitch" don't seem to fit, though they don't bother me.

I see a bunch of people got alts onto the server, but I tried around the same time and it wouldn't let me. I feel cheated.:dodgy:
