I keep it simple and just don't join FCs. I'm a loner by nature so even if I joined one the only thing that would change would be my chat is now filled with FC members talking to each other.

I'm actually glad we're diluting Ala Mhigo and the Far East. It gives me hope that the Ala Mhigan crisis won't be solved in five minutes by the WoL's divine presence. And, as far as what could lie beyond Garlemald? Geographically: Thavnair, Meracydia, Mamook, Sharlayan, not all of Othard was unclouded - Rabanastre in the southern deserts of Greylia's Bend and the Anchorite at Gorvos. Will we get to go to the Burn where Bozja once sat? Story-wise, even if we destabilize or topple the Garlean empire, we'll throw every conquered region into uprising and political turmoil. Reshaping the newly independent nations could be an expansion of its own. Going to new lands. Discovering old magical mysteries. XIV may not be XI, but its predecessor's expansions creatively utilized an already (mostly) mapped world. I hope XIV will be able to do the same after disposing of an evil empire. That gives me hope that this game with last a good while. Its the only MMO that I enjoy. All others have fallen flat within days for me, including WoW.

The only real concern I have is that we may be going through the story too quickly. I had thought this expansion would be about Ala Mihgo and the next would maybe be about Doma and thereabouts. Suddenly, with this next expansion, large parts of the entire world will have opened up. After that we may go to Garlemald. What then is there after that?

I thought Samurai would be announced so I've been preparing a character to take on the job as soon as the expansion drops. She's a Doman refugee who was forced to flee without her katana and has been fighting as a Monk across Eorzea. Looks like the Samurai will be using gear similar to Monk so it looks like I guessed correctly. And its DPS! I couldn't be happier!

Ever since I saw the new trailer, I've been squealing uncontrollably in glee. I think my neighbors are getting annoyed.

This is the first I've heard of anyone considering it weird to play a Miqo'te. Just because they're popular doesn't mean you shouldn't play as one.

I've been seeing a fair amount of RP happening on the Siren server, which was surprising to me. I wonder if its catching on or if people are just bored waiting for Stormblood.

Gonna try to stay as non spoiler and speculative, I believe they are trying to summon a primal but for the purpose of testing and or attracting a greater power. What's this ordeal that everyone is talking about where their character's might not survive? Is it the same thing?

I'm not caught up on the MSQ. Are the Garleans trying to summon a primal?

Q'ilora has resolved to stop eating spicy food before bed. If the heartburn doesn't get her, the weird dreams surely will.

I'm like 99% sure they aren't connected. SE is just reusing names. Like if we went to Illisabard and the Garleans had a city named 'Midgar' I wouldn't expect to canonically find Cloud running around if that makes sense. I think there was a dev statement saying exactly that. While it's using the name, we're not likely to be seeing Ivalician races and stuff. Unless they're enemies, since technically we wouldn't be playing them... hm. Really? I thought I heard the opposite somewhere, that there was a connection between Ivalice and Hydaelyn. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find where I heard that. Might have been from one of Mr. Happy's videos or some article.

I personally wouldn't use one. I like the leveling process but don't care much for endgame so a jump potion would be useless to me. I don't really care if other people use one. That's their choice and it doesn't harm me in the least. In my own opinion, if you skip the MSQ then you're missing out, but that's just me.

I'd say Viera is possible considering the "Return to Ivalice" thing they will be doing. If Hydaelyn and Ivalice are connected, they could conceivably be made playable.

E'ilora likes reading and writing dirty poetry. She has a small journal filled with it that she keeps hidden away on her person.

In order to avoid the whole "I've been an amazing fencer the whole time you guys" thing, I've created a new character with the purpose of grooming them to become a RDM. I do plan on having them go through a swordplay training arc though.

Excited for Red Mage, but I'm really hoping for Samurai to be announced.

I've been screaming internally from joy and excitement ever since the announcement. I fits the style of character I've wanted to play forever now.

For several reasons. A strong desire to see what the rest of the world looks like. To hone her skills and talents. To try lots of new and tasty foods. Because she prefers to be alone and traveling is often the best way to be alone. Because she doesn't want to have children (hates kids), especially not with the current Nuhn (or any, really). Mostly she travels because she feels like it.

I got sick of transferring to Balmung every time I create a new character so I now I pretty much only RP solo, usually along with the main story.

Its probably just a placeholder date. Amazon does it all the time.

I just saw the trailer for myself and I liked it. I hope we don't have to wait long for confirmation on what the new class is.
