I would like to say, I had kept an eye out for when this event would happen since I have been meaning to hit the more eventful side of RP for some time. And was it worth it! I apologize for any sort of wrench that Rio might have thrown in the Moniker selection process (he made them pick a number between one and three) but in the end the resulting RP with Barbarccia was quite refreshing! I will definitely keep an eye out for this event and I just wanted to extend my thanks to the members who made it possible!

Greetings! Seems like you have quite the two contrasting characters going here. By chance might they share any sort of commonality amongst the two? I also highly recommend checking the link marked Linkshells and browse through for some Linkshells and FCs that might sound like the sort you'd want to be involved in.

I hadn't actually planned to bump into her, just thought it was a cool idea to go visit the stone after he had just had such an experience at the previous two and lo' behold orange text haha. Thanks to you as well for the accompanying RP, another day may have gone by where I have not leveled, but honestly between RP and EXP I'll take good quality RP every time!

I would definitely suggest making a post in the new members section, a great way to really get your face out to the public at large here as well! I would suggest however that you drop the shortcut typing i.e. use "You" instead of "u" and "Thanks/Thank you" in place of "thx." I do know that the world we live in has ingrained this nasty habit into the majority of the masses, but especially when it comes to RP, you'll find people become extremely put off by such lack of proper language as it diminishes the immersion of IRL self and RP character when the character speaks in such a particular manner - excludin' accents such as 'n dis' hur fashion ya h'r? - that doesn't befit realistic expectation. A typically good rule of thumb is to type the way you would expect if someone were reading a story you wrote, not a text message with u's and jk's or a terrible website that wants to call itself a "blog" and only allows a miniscule number of characters. It might also have a silly blue bird for an icon. But I digress! Regardless, I welcome you to the site and I apologize for the mini-lesson, however I would so hate for you to turn your back to RP from a lack of commendable compadres. Remember, each time we improve our RP, we open ourselves up to much more than what we were capable of at previously levels! That all said though, feel free to hit me up if ever you should wish to RP or would even like some lessons on the usage of RP tools like emotes and /em.

I myself was a little apprehensive about leaping into the RP Scene, and admittedly I have only had Rio go through two RP sessions, one brought incredibly short by unexpected events IRL, but both times I have thoroughly enjoyed myself and simply allowed myself to slide into character. At that point you really quit having to try to think of what to say, how to act, and it all just becomes natural until its time for the curtain to come down.

Welcome to the site bud! I doubt anyone here would discriminate based on the FC you hold, as most keep linkshells just so others aren't forced to choose between their existing friends and new ones. I've no doubt you'll find plenty of RP, especially with the ability to draw a crowd nonetheless!

This sounds like a perfect way to expand Riordyn's network. While not the grandest of villians, he has a goal in mind and the will to cross whatever line he needs to to get there. I'll try to get in contact in-game with one of these officers later today for the linkshell invite!

Welcome to the real end-game my friend. I'm still getting my bearings myself, but the small amounts of RP I have found the time for have been enjoyable. Hope to see you in game, and never hesitate to toss a wave!

High Ilvl requirements, no use for AOE, drop rates unreliable, first boss drops aggro frequently, begins with a Tank-check, has a DPS-check in the middle and involves a heal check in the final encounter. What can I say? This dungeon takes skill. Therefore, no bards. OH SNAP! Shots fired!! Wouldn't it be more like "not fired" since there won't be any Bards? ... I'll see myself out.

I have the one. The one to top them all. And so I bring to you the story of the Troll That Would Not Die. There is language. This wound is fresh. Queued up for SV, it was still a super new dungeon to me, and I was looking to improve my game. Sure, the experience was nice, but friends had quite nearly carried me on the first run through two deaths so I was looking to prove myself in a DF group. Dungeon Pop and I get into the zone. Everyone is saying hi and acting friendly while the cutscene skips commence. Cue NIN, "I want full clear." The tank doesn't really say anything, just starts working his way through the dungeon. Passing down the first hall, the tank skips the side rooms and heads right for that large one with several dragons. The party naturally followed... most of us anyway. That very same NIN decides instead to run into the side rooms, pull the mobs, and bring them to us for his so important full clear that no one agreed to. The tank was already tied up in three dragons, so of course we all wipe. Now, not wanting toget everyone discouraged, I write it off as an honest mistake and warn the NIN, "Please don't pull mobs and then bring them back to the party without saying a word." And now, now the sleeping troll has begun to flutter from their deep sleep. "Fine, but next time the tank needs to just go ahead and tell me to fck myself when I ask for the full clear." Now begins a loving debate about how the tank says he is just working on a relic and just here for the clear while the NIN cries about how he is a DPS, and the Tank didn't have his long queue, and why doesn't the moronic tank know this is a leveling dungeon where apparently full clears are expected. This goes on until we meet the frst boss. NIN is nowhere to be seen. Hasn't been since he lost the argument he was trying to have with a tank that didn't care. No, NIN is back there holding a mob and running away from it so we can't kick him. I go back, kill his mob, and boom we kick him. We're now down a healer and a DPS because the healer had enough. So what did this stupid, pathetic, waste of human flesh do? Queued up as a fking healer, and guess what he queued for? And guess who this brilliant game engine stuck him with? Surely not those people that just kicked his stupid a$$ right? Oh yeah, they sure did. So there goes our kick, and he continues to whine and complain until I notice... everyone in the dungeon is level 50. But me. So I'm the only one who will lose experience. I don't care, I didn't come for that. But no, that wasn't good enough for ZT (abbreviating), the piece of sht. So finally the tank and the other DPS get to talking and find out they are on the same server, so they just leave to requeue leaving me with dckwad and a long wait time. Then he tries to go, "Hey man, I'm sorry bud, we can be friends. I have only done that one other time but..." No, I do not want to hear your bullsht troll, I don't. I hope you wrecked your car into a tree, and that the tree fell over on you as the car exploded and you died in a ball of fire later that day. At least, the world is a much better place now if you did. ... I'm not salty or nothing.

Welcome to the RPC! I don't have much else to add sadly, still leveling and therefore still figuring out my own character!

Oh by all means, ramble.The way you explained the exceptions was about along the same lines as what I was thinking of as arguments in my head. Also quite the good point that these things do not define who is a Roleplayer, simply if they are In Character at the moment or Out of Character.
