  1. You actually have nice things to say? Holy crap, all this time I was under the impression posts like this were kinda your thing.
  2. So, I read the 1st line of this and stopped. Primarily because it's in a wall of text layout, you will likely get better results if you correct this.
  3. Ask, and ye shall receive. Thou hast been shipped.
  4. The sun’s light had begun to fade as the day passed into dusk, a cool breeze accompanying the growing shade of the forest canopy as the first stars started appearing in the sky. Gharen Wolfsong wearily looked skyward and gauged his heading, hefting his satchel slightly on his shoulder and adjusting the sword that hung at his side. He had been following game trails in the lesser-known areas of the shroud for the last day and a half, looking for signs of the huntress Khit Jakkya. Despite his dogged persistence, he hadn’t held much hope of actually finding his quarry, much less her clan. He’d taken a roundabout path to Gridania, specifically for the calming effect the forest usually had upon his mind. Normally in this place where one could seemingly become lost forever, swallowed whole by the forest itself, he felt most at home—at peace. He turned from the game trail and began walking west, his tired mind wandering to thoughts of his sister, their fight, and his failures to impede Nero and the destruction left in his wake. They had taken their toll upon him. Sleep had become an elusive thing, and when he was able to, it was plagued with nightmares, the false memories given to him by Raelisanne Banurein seemed stronger as a result of his sleeplessness, replaying in his mind and further stripping him of his ability to rest, not unlike what she had inflicted upon him a cycle ago now. Since returning to the shroud, he could not shake the feeling that he was being followed, yet despite all of his efforts, he had seen no signs to verify his suspicions. He approached the river that acted as a natural barrier to separate the Sylphlands from the rest of the Shroud, the roar of the river rapids below nearly drowning out the creaking of the bridge’s assembly. Each step seemed to add a weight upon him. When he was at the bridge’s mid-point, he stopped, gripping one of the ropes that assisted in suspending the bridge as he looked at the segmented footing beneath him, tiredly rubbing at weighty eyelids. That feeling of encumbrance spread to the rest of him, and he was overcome by a sudden feeling of disembodiment. Looking up toward his destination, he spied a faceless figure in the shade standing at the end of the bridge. The hair on the back of his neck stood on end and, out of a fugitive’s habit, he looked over his shoulder at the other end of the bridge, where another shadowed figure now blocked his retreat. Knowing instantly his peril, an equally knowing but leaden hand drew his sword, turning his attention back to the first-spotted figure. Sheer surprise and martial force struck him in tandem, the first figure having bridged the several yalm gap in mere seconds; it grabbed his sword arm in a vise grip and leaned in, easily beginning to twist Gharen’s arm and blade toward himself. Unable to move his feet, Gharen struggled vainly, attempting to deprive his blade of the taste of his own flesh. The shadow proved too much, however, and the blade began to pierce his flesh. Gritting his teeth and stalling his breath, he became aware of the heady scent of iron as his tunic became matted with spreading crimson, droplets of the same splattering upon the bridge’s uneven planks. Waves of pain spread through him, his muscles convulsing, brow gleaming with sweat as he strained to counter this sudden assault. It was not until he felt the blade emerge from his back that his held breath broke with a gasp, gravity immediately claiming victory as he collapsed to his knees. The assailant’s grip withdrew in that moment, its head cocking aside as it simply watched him, no doubt satisfied with the outcome. Gharen wavered upon the bridge for what felt like an eternity as his lifeblood spilled upon the bridge. He looked up past the mass of shadows into the evening sky, trying to utter final words, as if the wind might carry his apology to her, but no words came forth. Instead, he slumped to the side, and gravity completed what it had started, carrying him hastily, headfirst into the rapids below.
  5. Clearly you fear the Ala Mhigan Techniques that have been passed down through the generations.
  6. Pippin Tarupin Vice Marshal of the Immortal Flames is wearing flame elite gear.
  7. Awww Thanks Crofte!
  8. I hate to break it to you dude but the last post in here was over a year ago and the original was in 2012. Pretty sure eligibility has come and gone.
  9. ...Lots of self important stuff!!! If folks want to play NPCs, they can play NPCs. Just don't freakin' whine when I treat you like an NPC, nor join you in the effort, capiche? So... what you're saying is you're a Jerk? Edit: and that we shouldn't be surprised when you act like one?
  10. I almost want to list this as something for Osric's Fanfic but you never know.

  12. There was no hostility involved, and I'm fairly certain I'm allowed warn folks that they're about to walk into a building scheduled for demolition. But that's just me channeling Carnac. Futurama was great, with great comedy. Which followed a script and predefined rules so that it was fit for television. With some of the personalities that we have here? Someone will do something stupid, feelings will get hurt, people will get angry, and so on and so forth. Do with it what you will.
  13. WV4-rQvrTkU Not all ideas are good ones. I see this turning into thread lock bait just before or just after devolving into a childish game of grab ass.
  14. (Obnoxious sig, Blocks image.) So I don't want to be that guy, but didn't you think "accidental" sex was funny too? Hate to break it to you but this sounds just as juvenile as that did.
  15. Ok.. I'll toss a few in, Brynhilde Wulf - Strong, smart, charming, and lovely, Bryn radiates a confidence that is in itself attractive. Gharen likely didn't realize the crush until just recently though. But still thinks there's no way a classy lady like that would be interested in a guy that lives out in the wilds. Right? Obsidian Hornet - While they have parted ways he will always think of his first love fondly. He still wonders how he managed to be lucky enough to be with her for the time that they were together. Coatleque Crofte - Gharen's sweet on Coatleque even though she has a thing for bad boys currently. Delial Grimsong - Not sure if this can be called a "Crush" so much as a "What the heck am I doing?" She's got the all the Charm, looks, and danger you could want in a bad girl... Though He did get to see a somewhat inebriated softer side. Add in the fact she got his parents killed, which closes the vicious circle back to "What the heck am I doing?"
  16. Added Osric to the second batch of images in the Original Post.
  17. Started implementing a few new tricks, so here are 3 more with another on the way once I have permission to post it. I'll be going back and retouching the original set to bring them up to snuff with this latest batch.
  18. A young man, scarred by a past he cannot let go, A failed actor that lost his last big role of that of a Manderville man to a true Manderville man, and with such loss he could simply could not let go of the part, and so, he does what a not so Manderville man can.
  19. Yeah I wish I had even a modicum of Talent to have actually drawn these. I'm using Photoshop CS5, though I'm likely to swap to CS6 here in the next day or two. Delial's was my 1st attempt and as I've learned a few things as I've worked on the others. So I might revisit hers soon. I'm going for a charcoal look and feel to the drawings hence the smudging to make it look like these were not drawn by a professional.
  20. Send me a Head shot of Edda and I'll see what I can do. =)
  21. Thanks, =) I'm going for the look of Charcoal sketches, and took inspiration from a few sources. Nat's was kind of hard to do because I was listening to Billy Boyd's - The Last Goodbye on repeat while doing these to try and set a tone for them.
  22. So, every now and again I get an idea... most of these ideas go absolutely no where because I lack the actually skill or know how to do bring them to fruition. And then every now and then I get an idea I can do something about at which point I coerce friends into being test subjects for said idea. This is the latest in an attempt to create a Journal for Gharen's Wiki comprised of friends and people that have left a lasting mark upon him. The following would have been done by him as a character and I will likely be adding to them to create the aforementioned Journal for his wiki. (Note: These are not hand drawn, they are screenshots that I've edited to try and make them look hand drawn, I won't claim to have nearly the talent that some of the RPC's artists put on display.)
