There's the loophle needed to carry on with house scalping. Create and level a FC, buy a plot, claim you're charging for time/gil invested into the company. They could do that, but at least this time it requires you to go through the trouble of leaving your FC and gathering others to help level it, which will take time rather than just gil which players have outrageous amounts of. It might slow scalpers down. Key word being "might." Gathering others to help level it? I did it alone, more or less. I was given the empty FC by a friend at rank 6 and leveled it the rest of the way myself, gathered the points to buy flight credits myself, on my own. I'm still doing it alone. Making airship pieces alone, only asking for randos/online friends in other FCs to stand in the workshop with me when needed. But I'm doing it for me, not to sell for a profit. I would have a real FC if I could get myself out there and uh, y'know, think of something that hasn't been done before or isn't overdone. I managed to get a small plot for this fc for the price of a medium plot, which is GENEROUS right now, from a nice couple of guys who moved on to bigger and better plots. EDIT: And people have leveled FCs to rank 6 only to sell the FC themselves.. you know why. LOL. It's VERY easy to level an FC alone. Run experts, roll on everything, roll greed, hand in for points. Before you know it, it's leveled and has points. Spend the points on housing items!

If only that shipped to Canada. I looked into whether or not the USA eShop gift card code would work on a Canadian 3ds.. NOPE. lol. THAT level of region lock pisses me right off. I was just gonna ship that card to a friend and have them give me the eShop code.. nope. No fun allowed.

If you are from Canada like me, you MUST ORDER FROM AMAZON.COM. Amazon.ca will not have the promotion. You need to look for the promotion on the page of the item you are ordering. It'll say near the bottom of the page. But, not only will you have to look for that, you SHOULD look for whether or not they will ship to your location in Canada. If you check the international shipping box you may end up spending a lot more than you intended to. edit tho: Final Fantasy Explorers didn't have the promotion on it either. It's over $20.. I think it's more likely that the 45 day timer will start after they start up the reclamation thing again, as opposed to them turning it back on and suddenly a bunch of houses explode. Well, it might depend on if they 'resume' the timer from where it was at or if it reset.

Next housing rush will be.. 45 days after the next patch when the demolition timer is set back in motion? Or will it just be put back in place and then a bunch of houses will fall? Who knows...

Aaaah true. I can't think of any other gil sinks in this game. WoW had the mount speed crap, which I'm glad we don't have here.

It's not exactly a money sink either, if your fc builds airships and builds them to gather certain things that sell well.. over time you can make back what you spent on the house in the first place.

I don't know if anyone has considered this yet, but I was talking with some friends. And then I got to thinking. I know at least three RP FCs who plan on straight up relinquishing, the night before (like before the 24hr maint), and then logging in to race to a new plot. People will snag those plots even without the price reductions. They will. They'll be gone. This really doesn't seem like a good idea. I mean, I can forsee some FCs becoming homeless. I think people should really consider holding onto their plots until they have someone in front of the new placard ready to click on it. :dazed:

Honestly you've put more work in each of your drafts than most people put in their characters altogether, even with the possible lore flaws. Hats off to you for really wanting to get the lore spot on though. The lore in this thread has been good to read.

The whole aura sensing thing, I don't go into it. I wouldn't have my character sense someone's aura unless that other character wanted it to happen for some kind of plot. However, you can literally see the dark knight 'stance' darkside on someone's character. I assume that's aethery. ..And even in the case of my character sensing someone's 'aura' or lack thereof, he isn't the most aether knowledgeable. So he wouldn't be sure what he's sensing in the first place.
