1. The following story contains a bit of non-explicit IMPLIED SAUCIFICATIONS. Do not read it if references to adult fun times is not your thing.
2. Keep the Garleans, imo. They are the enemy out there, and they have affected everyone. It will give your character solidarity with others who have suffered at their hands, and make it easier to connect. "To many people take the Garlean angle" shouldn't be a thing because the Garleans are a HUGE problem for people in that area.
3. *~*~*~*dramatically turns, his hair flying in the breeze as he looks longingly back at 2.1 Pharos Sirius*~*~*~* Agreed, and I'm a casual. However, I do believe Main Story Quest trials and dungeons should be tuned for everyone to complete without too much difficulty. Unlockable side dungeons though. Hurt me. Hurt me good.
4. Another tottering lalafell spellcaster who'll probably die in a self-inflicted explosion someday. Usually best ignored or avoided!
5. I just say hi and start wrecking. If they complain I can't hear them over the sound of MY MEDITATION SPAM.
6. https://36.media.tumblr.com/046e3658b09512330f860ac54746e0d7/tumblr_nu3iiyDM9Z1robwlio1_540.jpg[/img] Messed with the color curves and levels, but there we go: A shot from Berrod and Ba'akari's training session.
7. I can understand where you're coming from because at times it's all about aesthetic! I'd like Berrod, my manlyman GRR SWEAT AND MUSCLES ROAR character to have access to hairstyles that have been tailored toward that aesthetic. I'd like Maurice, my girlyboy glitterbomb dazzling prince EEEEE~ to have swoopy androgynous girly hair. I'd like to give my -WHATEVER- Catboy any kind of neutral thing that I can pick out! In the end, I'd like to have options for all of these styles available and produced going forward, and not to see them just leaning toward one end of that triangle.
8. I've a Hellsguard Disciple of Magic named Bucking Bull. While I can't promise any long and in depth roleplay on him, if I ever catch you in game while on him I'd be happy to have him initiate conversations on magical theory and spellcrafting!
9. I've been waiting for 84 years... For that or for wildman hercules mane. *sobs quietly*
10. Oh jeez I cannot decide... Er... Field music: Azys Lla hands down. I get so pumped when going through that zone! Coerthas Western Highlands daytime is a close second. Man...that music is so sad. Love it. Dungeon music: A toss up between Pharos Sirius and The Vault. Pharos is...well, Pharos. I really love how the Vault music changes to sound more muffled the higher up you go. Field or Dungeon Battle Music: The Heavensward final dungeon boss music! AHHH SO GOOD. Raid music: Alexander. I can play that on repeat for literally hours and still keep going. Raid Boss Music: BOTH ALEXANDER BOSS TRACKS AAAAGHHHH. Primal Battle: Phase 2 Ravana. Yeah, sure, Titan's theme is great and all but THAT VOICE THO. Too much music. Too much good. Cannot decide.
11. That might be touchy though. If one monk uses the residual aether in the area to open a chakra, it leaves the aether unsettled afterward. When that happens, no others will be able to open a chakra there for some time. As such, a 'group event' for several monks to open chakras at the same time is a biiiiit of a stretch. Also omg are we such heathens to go eat up the people's aether just after they only just fought and died for their nation? SAVAGES!
12. A toss up among 10, 18 and 25 for me...hrm...
13. I...dislike most of these, but I can see one that I'd pick...
14. I've never thought to ask. What sect does Berrod land on? I can only assume he's Light since you've been on the Monk grind for as long as I recall! Also, Monk RPer here! Although i'm late to the game on the RP account (I adore the class and always will). Azih is actually of the Shadow sect so... at some point if people are looking to get some yummy shadow charkra... you know at least one who leans that way! Berrod lands on the light, with six Light open and one Shadow. He's mostly ignorant of the shadow side outside of stories and legends. That will change as time passes; I have his development on that side of things already mapped out over a period of several months! And yeah, I've mained Monk since three weeks after launch (when I started). I'll never get tired of it, I love everything about the job and its lore!
15. *Nod nod* *Nudges Berrod* *Fans the Mistalv Signal* *crawls in* I'm always late to these things lol. There are a few characters who have expressed interest in learning from Berrod and I would be more than happy for a means to organize it better. Of course, I'll gladly oblige those who wish to keep it a simple one on one affair! Aya recently suggested that I gather all of his writings into one place. Before, I kept them scattered through the bulletin board to give players the experience of 'finding' them, but it seems her suggestion is going to be something that helps! *Sobs while digging for the links* Whatever you need from me, poke me and I'll do the best I can to accommodate.
16. I had a great time. The rest of the speakers and performers had me hooked the entire time, and the attendees were all just -- amazing. Thanks guys, you all made one hell of an evening.
17. Another one was wondering where they put that doom train... Ferny's mention of the Moon and Western Continent in his ramblings made me lift my eyebrows. I doubt he just MENTIONED them for babbling's sake. KEEPING AN EYE OUT.
18. I don't say hello back, I'm not really in duty finder to make friends. I mean If I know you and recognize you I'll say "what's up" but otherwise nah. I can understand people being in autopilot mode or whatever, but still...It can't hurt for some people to type...what, two letters? I don't get at them for it, because like I said - It's just a pet peeve! But when you're stood around in the entrance waiting for someone to load in/finish watching/skipping the opening cutscene/casting protect and whatnot...Eeeh. It doesn't take that much effort, right? I suppose it just makes me feel a little sad. Most pug groups do bother to respond, so I guess I notice it more if I'm doing the entire dungeon in silence...Which isn't a problem in itself - Until people decide to vocalise, at last, when something hasn't gone their way. I find a little bit disappointing when people only really have bad things to contribute in that kind of situation. Whether people speak in party or not doesn't make much of a difference to me in the end, I'll just keep stubbornly throwing my greetings at them regardless. I just feel like it makes it a bit easier to communicate later on - especially in a lowbie roulette - If something is going wrong. For me, at least! I tend to give a friendly hello in an attempt to set a friendly, lighthearted tone for the run. For me, seeing someone else do the same helps me to relate to them as a player behind the toon and makes the run less of a chore. It makes the mess ups a lot more tolerable too. Hell, even when I mess something up I type a little acknowledgement or apology. "Whoops, my bad, I didn't get out of that AoE in time," Or "Oh man sorry, I was totally tunneling." I've seen people complain when something goes wrong (myself included) at times, but how many of those people actually took the time to tell the group hello? Maybe I'm just old fashioned, I dunno.
19. Curiousity killed the Keeper? I've had characters say things like "When in Garlemald..." and "Pardon my Lominsan." I see "That's my two gil on the subject" used often, even OOC!
20. Berrod is that tough guy npc who's in the game for literally 30 seconds but somehow ends up having a fan following and endless porn of him on tumblr.
