Returning after a long hiatus. Are many of the FCs posted here active? Im wanting a fairly medium/heavy RP FC.

I feel like a lot of the airships I see are very boat-shaped... Are any of them able to float and/or be used as boats? Seems like it'd be a thing, especially if the routes taken are over water. Run out of fuel during the trip? No prob. Land on the water and either start rowing or pull out sails/flaps.

I ended up caving in and downloading yesterday. Ran into a pidgeot down the street today. Wasted all 30-something balls to catch the jerk, but he didn't wanna get caught (and still getting used to the flicking). Caught a Kingler later on, made me feel better.

I haven't played the game yet (waiting for issues, fixes to be resolved), but there's apparently some secret to evolving eevees.

I was wondering if or how much songs could affect the denizens of Eorzea/the world, beyond rousing and inspiring the masses (or the opposite). If someone sang a lulaby, could they put listeners to sleep? Could songs boost a mages spells? (Healing or damaging) Can magic spells be cast by songs instead of typical incantations/rituals/etc?

When in doubt, blame the calamity. Or Moenbryda for going down... I mean! It's all the calamity's fault!

Typically, "bound" items cannot be traded, sold on the marketboard, and probably not deposited into fc vault. I don't want any housing items, now or ever by the way housing works (I fully expect to not ever afford or even see an empty lot).

I'm not on during peak US hours and my playtime is mostly early EU evening. If you're ever in during my usual hours, I'd love to RP with you. I really want to get a little something done with my young xaela lady, but no biggie if you'd prefer rping with a character that's already pretty much developed.

I named my alt (Au'ra lady) Hikaru Mizuki. It's Japanese for "Shining" and "Beautiful Moon", so said the baby names and meanings website.

The event itself will likely be on a weekend, and I have no problems being EU friendly, so I will try to get in touch with you! Attempts to accommodate all players is appreciated. If the event goes on when I'm off, no hard feelings.

I'm interested, but my hours don't usually allow evening, US time.I'm usually on early evening EU, or mid to late morning US. What time during the day are you thinking when you get to setting the day/time?

When you feel comfy starting up your first RP experience, keep a few things in mind. Don't God-mode. If you can't pull a sword out of your rectum, throw off whomever is holding you in a wrestle hold and swing said sword in RL, your character shouldn't be able to. (Of course, in a fantasy world, some things can be stretched.) Don't emote what others will do/react. This is considered rude. Emote what your and only your character is doing/behaving. I don't know if it annoys others, but I find several one-sentence posts annoying to the point of just logging out and back in on an alt. If a one-liner is acceptable, that's a different story. Please keep your number of posts to a minimum. If you can't think of anything to post, keep it short and simple, you'll get better in time. I am totally open to helping you get into the swing of RP. If you want to RP with me, I'm always up for it. My characters and online time are posted below, in my signature.

Hello! I'm interested in getting my main involved in Ashen Academy. Hunfrid is a conjurer in training and knows a good bit about tinkering (doesn't really fall into gsm because he doesn't make jewelry, he makes small animatronic stuffed toys like the windup or stuffed in-game pets). Although, I have weaver at only 16.

If my main, Hunfrid, were gender swapped, he'd definitely open an orphanage in Gridania, make/sell stuffed toys and send donations to the other city-states for the children. He loves making children happy with the stuffed dolls and toys he makes, I don't see much difference if he was a she in that regard. Right now, he's too into making his toys and studying conjury and tinkering to think about opening any orphanages.

My Hellsguard male I named Hunfrid Silentstone. A bit lore bending, but I think I did good when I didn't know as much about naming. I can always say Hunfrid is easier to say in a pinch than Silentstone. Of course, with silly players, his name got shortened to Hun, Hunbun and Hunybunny.

One thing that happened to me recently was promptly put on my pet peeve list. Someone, on a different character, starts talking to me like we knew each other. Not knowing whom it was, I asked who they were. They eventually got around to the character name that they rped with me on. The name didn't ring any bells at first, because I had only met them once before. So, I ask if they were the character that was in ___ FC. And they overreacted, something on the lines of "if that's how you rremember me, I'm doomed!" I guess that fc wasn't a very good one. I don't know how I or anyone can be expected to remember everyone and every detail of every rp encounter.

18 pages of posts is too long to read through, but I did read a handful of posts. I'm just gonna offer my opinion to the original post. People are gonna rp the way they want, whom they want. I'm in the bandwagon of not caring so much about ooc levels, I see them as a game mechanic far more than anything else. If a bunch of people start saying they're the only one of _____ job (where the in-game quests state there's only one on Hydaelyn/Eorzea), then there's a problem (I know, not everyone is gonna say they're character is that job, but a lot of them can). Also, I read in posts before mine, some jobs can't fit the character (someone posted their character is a ballistics/engineer specialist). Not to mention, many have alts that they're too lazy to level. My main, Hunfrid, is a toymaker/tinkerer by trade. Goldsmithing can kind of fill that role as an in-game class/job, but is not what he is. I don't have the patience to level it to max, too. Hunfrid recently began studying conjurery in his free time, and though he is a level 48 white mage, he's still got a long way to go. TLDR: If you want to RP your way, do it. Just don't get upset when people don't like it or won't rp with you because of what/how you want to rp.

I wouldn't recommend being such a close relative to a main character. Later on, that important main character's story could quickly change in a plot twist, and your character's backstory could end up head-over-heels and all sorts of screwed up. Not telling you what to do, just trying to say be careful what or whom you RP.

Would I be able to find your character in the search options by using just "Max" for his first name? I'm expecting to be on all afternoon tomorrow (June 28, CST).

Either of my characters could totally meet Max. The only problem I have is my times that I'm on. Though I hope it will change very soon! (I'm moving soon, so my hours will likely change.) Right now, midmornings to about 1 pm, CST, are my normal hours. And maybe an hour or two around midnight. My Hunfrid is a tinkerer/toymaker and studies conjurery in most of his spare time. My Au'ra Lady is mostly a blank slate right now, but leaning towards a thief/shady character. Might make her a Garlean Spy, but don't tell anybody!

Haven't posted in quite a while, but here I am again, like a puppy returning to mommy. I wanted to start making a background for my Au'ra, but I'm on the fence about how I want it. For the most part, I want her to be a sneaky thief/pickpocket/shady kind of gal. Currently, I'm debating on whether or not I want her to be a Garlean sympathizer or spy. I want to lean more towards she's fled the garlean empire, got seperated from her group, got lost/ended up in Eorzea somewhere and has been living on the streets since. Or got taken in by a kind family of farmers/fishers/ranchers. However, I don't want to end up another run-of-the-mill or generic background. Pretty much, Garlean spy/sympathizer or fled the empire's rule to find safety.

The black lady from The Help should've offered her a "chocolate" pie to eat.Don't waste good food!
