I dont see horses being a common sight in Eorzea. Chocobos seem far cheaper to import (Ishgard is a lot closer than the far east). But the GC text for the warhorses seems to imply some superiority. It would seem to me, horses are a luxury or more for those that can aford the purchase + delivery costs (like the richer caravans).

rIts doable. But as stated before, be mindful of the timer. I lead an rp through I think TamTara. Before and after each boss, we paused for about 10 minutes of rp. After that, we went through Haukke Manor because some of the crazy Dalamud priests/fanatics tried to continue their work there. They were presumed dead by the time the party got there, killed by either the voidsent or the mistress. My character that I rp'd with was haunted for a while after the mistress was downed.

Do you mean, like a camera recording your individual fight? I dont see it happening. It sounds nice, but highly unlikely. It would take up way too much server space. However, if you have a program that records whats happening on your screen, like Fraps, you can record all the fights to your heart's content. And post them online.

Im very interested... My main is a healer/toymaker and is Menphina devote, but theres room I can make him Nophica and Menphina devote. I work every other weekend, so it will mostly depend on which day/weekend for me. If you get a set day/time, PM me or post it? I will keep my eyes peeled.

I cant remember if FF14 supports addons. Is there an addon that displays character info? Im thinking similar to the TRP and MRP used in WoW. Is SE planning to add something like this? The search text is very limiting.

I use some of the wind-up, mechanical, or stuffed toy looking minions. Hunfrid my main is a toymaker/tinkerer. He makes toys for kids and I sometimes RP him working on them, or have the wind-up/mechanical toys do silly stuff.

Hello! I want to get back into RP. Im a returning player that works five days a week including every other weekend during peek hours. Are there any RPers and FCs that are more active during midmorning central time? My main is Hunfrid Silentstone, a young male Hellsguard that is a Toymaker/Tinkerer and Healer/Conjuerer. My alt is Janie Fhruhwabwyn (Daughter of Early Hawk), a young Wildwood/Hellsguard. Good aim with a bow and a little hot-headed. Edit: I would be willing to helps run a FC for RPers that are active at about the time Im active.

I would suggest just not doing that, for reasons the other posters have stated. You wont find enough people that would accept an Azeroth human in Eorzea. I share the same feelings/sentiment with many of my WoW characters, too. My main is exactly how one of my draenei characters would be. But if you find a few RPers who would accept your WoW guy, then by all means, RP it. It could get interesting. I miss his tail so very much... (trails off and wanders away)

I have two characters, I consider both mains when it comes to RP. As the title suggests, I'm seeking a buddy interested in being a relative to one of them. First up: Hunfrid Silentstone 18yr old Hellsguard male Has an older brother that is an honest (to his best judgement, some superiors are corrupt) Brass Blades guard, typically posted in Camp Drybone. Not a huge variety to choose from, but plenty of room to take him however desired. Next is... Janie Fhruhwabwyn 17, half Hellsguard, half Wildwood female Janie is far more flexible when it comes to relatives. Her WW mom died shortly after childbirth and her dad didnt return from Carteneau (he could still be alive). So long as it's not too far outta left field, I can swing with almost anything for her.

This and I usually keep it loosely relative to the time it is on earth, in my timezone.

Interesting so far. I just want to say, if you didnt know, Miqo'te males are rare. That there are 8 brothers should be impossible for as rare as they are, assuming they have the same mom. Of course, I'm a real nit picker with lore.

I obsess over the concert version of Answers. The one that came on Before Meteor seemed less passionate. My second fave is Rise of the White Raven, on the same cd.

I commend your desire for more... 'lore-appropriate' Garleans. I wish I had the time for a third character, but I fear the third would end up sorely neglected. Kudos to you! And good luck finding your RP group!

I would love to see vanity gear. Formal and casual stuff, as already mentioned. Similar to the "Wardrobe" implemented in LotRO. A few robes suffice (barely), but I'd like more non-armour civilian clothes, too. Not every character is a hero or adventurer. Class mounts sound awesome. Though, I think I'd rather see barding. More variety for your battle companion. And let us hop on our chocobo saddle in between fights! No mounts while he's out seems silly.

Welcome back to the site! Same here, throw me a tell or strike up some RP with me. I'm usually on midmorning, cst, but on much longer and later on my days off.

I dont usually go looking for RP during mid morning hours (not many on usually), but I was wondering if there were any/many? Mid morning, cst, is my usual time. Anyone want/need a RP buddy for that timeframe?

I'd love a RP partner thats consistently on during mid morning hours, CST. As for relationships, I have a Hellsguard main and a Wildood/Hellsguard alt (they're not related). If you're on around the same time as me, I wont mind coming up with a second alt if you want one of your characters to have a relative.

I prefer smaller RP groups for the same reasons. After 3, it starts to get crowded, and I tend to focus on the one or two my character is with. Others posts I power read through while I wait for responses.

Most of my characters start from which race I find more aesthetically pleasing. I have a huge weakness for men of larger races, and thats how my main guy got started. Then, after a few levels and shoe fittings, I get a feeling of where and how I want his backstory. With FF14 giving us the option of doing all classes on each character, I am happy to not have to delete and reroll anybody. With a little fleshing out, i then take the character to RP and let them go from there.

I've held a couple events in my FC so far. Both times, we RP'd in a Duty/Instance/Dungeon, and we successfully RPed and downed the final boss within the 90 minute time limit. The gist of how it was done: RP at the entrance, before entering (and starting the timer), burn through the trash to each boss (skip cutscenes and coffers), RP a little, kill boss, RP a little more, continue. Although the 90 minute timer disappears after the final boss is downed, there's a hidden timer (I'm guessing about 7-10 minutes) for the party to leave. I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts, comments, experience(s), etc. about RPing in a Duty?

My main, a Hellsguard, has an older brother that's in the Immortal Flames, guard duty around the city and sometimes sent to an outlaying town. Some stuff: He'd be around 20-23 years old, an honest Flames officer and enjoys some rough housing / wrestling. I've always imagined him a gladiator-esque kind of fighter (stereotypical for Hellsguards, I know. lol). I barely touched on him through my main's RP, so if you want to do a Hellsguard guy, he's open. Plenty of room to have him your way. UNLESS! You want to RP a female Hellsguard? The oldest of the three is the sister. She'd be around 23-27 years old. The gist of what I have on her is, "She's one tough cookie." She'd need a reason to leave home (she's the firstborn and, IIRC, firstborn Hellsguards stay at home near their volcano/gates to hell), but other than that, she's free to take just about any way. Stuff that runs in the family; brown-ish-red skin tone, eye colors that can be described as precious gems (ruby eyes, sapphire eyes, etc), darker hair colors. Of course, some variation is acceptable. My main is a pushover and cant wield a weapon to save his life. Quite the contrary to his siblings. There are way too many Miqo'tes and there are never enough Roegadyns. You will roll and role a Roegadyn.8-) We have cookies -and- milk!

My friend, Janie Fhruhwabwyn, would make a great candidate. She's a dedicated archer of Gridania and really deserves a little pampering after all the work she has done around the city and the Shroud. I would really like to see her get out of the Shroud again for a little while, so she can see a little more of Eorzea. What better city-state than Ul'dah!

Hello! So, I rp a rather passive Lohengarde male that can't wield a weapon to save his life. He's a healer-in-training and still not that great at it, and he's a toymaker/tinkerer for the sake of making money in his free time. I want to post an ad/request for a couple of other RPers (if I can get just one, that's fine, too). I'm looking for two others that each RP a Seawolf in Flames coats (or armor that resembles the Brass Blades). I prefer that they be bullies (or at least be a little corrupt). I'm not picky, and if someone just wants to be a random Seawolf that bullies my character, I wont assume that behavior in other RP.
