  1. This seems like the sort of thing that you would want to cover up, because logically it would point your enemies right to you, and potentially get you killed. Even if they didn't know it was a threat, if they're part of a coalition of people that are doing illegal activity, they likely wouldn't want to broadcast their linkage to the public.
  2. This is awesome because I really wanted to see if I could get a bunch of people and make a Quidditch Team shot.
  3. Jeeeeeeeeesus Christ you have no idea. This entire trend of top-hats and jackets for BLMs / Casters drives me up the wall and down again. Squeenix what happened to all the cool flowing robes and wizard hats. I want them back. I want them back now. That said though there are more robes than there are jackets. But man I still hate them so much.
  4. Sadly this is bit is true. I'm hoping maybe they'll add it in as an animation or something in the future.
  5. If this is the case, then I'm disappointed.
  6. Unfortunately as a BLM, I TOO WANT WHAT THE LALAFELL IS WEARING. FIGHT ME FOR IT VYCE.
  7. Because none of you scrubs linked what you're supposed to be listening to today. e8TZbze72Bc
  8. This is applicable to any shortcut anyone comes up with for anything in terms of creative writing and roleplay. Technically yes. But whether or not it applies well depends on the situation. For example, perhaps using a glove does not allow for as powerful / as precise power channeling as a staff does, or maybe you run the risk of setting your hand on fire if you try something. That provides reasonable incentive for the Usual Way to see more use. If something is just plainly "The Best!" then there's really no reason for anyone to use anything else, and that's where problems arise regarding why people aren't already doing it.
  9. The thing is that the Gem of Shattoto is a very specific item. Whether or not there are other BLM soulstones is not touched upon. Depending on how you interpret the lore that we have, it's likely that there are others, because you can't have a Wizarding War without multiple Wizards, but your mileage may vary.
  10. I feel like the main question to ask for clever magical workarounds, such as spellcasting gloves, is this: If it's so much better / easier to use / has less drawbacks / makes you look cooler / even possible in the first place, then why haven't tons of people thought of and started doing it yet?
  11. And then you're left to wonder how a BLM soul crystal can even hold any kind of black magic knowledge. I mean, in order for the empty crystal to be filled with knowledge, you need to perform the art. In order to perform the art, you need a soul crystal filled with knowledge. That doesn't quite work out. I assume that's where the soul stone comes in. There are probably countless memories of people blowing themselves up so you can know what not to do. Alternatively, some Soul Crystals work differently than others. It's entirely possible that BLM soul crystals are literally just special foci, and don't hold memories, or are focusing crystals that end up holding memories as a side-effect of being glued to people's pockets. This may be backed up by the fact that spellbooks are very important over the course of the BLM storyline; the people that give you the Gem play it up as more of a prophecy item, and they themselves learned from books and other sources. Stuff you learn in the 50+ quests are Dank Spells straight from the Book of Nald, too.
  12. Vgvvmszbgz0 YEAH THAT'S RIGHT GOT A PROBLEM? FIGHT ME ASSWIPES IT WAS A GOOD GAME
  13. I'd love to make Gil and buy my own home. Too bad there's no homes to buy. What you're mentioning is not the problem. The problem is that the thought process you're subscribing to either assumes an infinite number of houses, or simply doesn't care about people being locked out of certain features. By buying multiple items of which there are a limited amount, you are denying other people of that item. Add into that the fact that those items allow for entry into content that people will otherwise be unable to experience, and people will be understandably frustrated that other people are buying multiple things of which there is a shortage. It's not a question of jealousy. It's people being annoyed that they are unable to access content, regardless of eligibility, because someone logged in while they were at work or whatever and snapped up their second or third house, which would be of mostly redundant use, mechanically. This is not an unreasonable complaint. The argument that people should not do so therefore stems from the following: Do you have absolute control over all the content you want? If so, then don't buy a second house. If not, then do. Living in an FC chamber does not fulfill that first value if you want unrestricted access to certain things. Having control over an FC house, meanwhile, does fulfill this, which brings into question why someone might buy a second house under that circumstance. "Because they can and want to" is always a reason you can use, but that doesn't take away anyone's right to complain. I have the legal right to buy up every bottle of soda in the world and say none of you can have any, but that would still make me an asshole. Also the bit about having personal rooms in a personal house is irrelevant, considering that a personal house serves all purposes of a personal room, and then some. No one raises a fuss about it because it would be a redundant feature.
  14. Should Not Deal With != Does Not Exist. There are FCs out there that lock out certain members from using the stables and the gardens, or restrict them from using them in certain ways. It's not unreasonable therefore that those people would seek to have property of their own that they can do what they want with, including having unrestricted access to the features that they want, whether it be access to those features that they did not have, or simply more gardening and decorating space. This ties into the former point that I was making; the two are not comparable because there are other factors that have the potential to take place in one, that would not happen in the other, in which someone has complete control. Some people may have reasons for not leaving and finding a new FC. Maybe they have business there to attend to. Maybe they've got friends there, whatever. But not everything is as simple as shutting bad people out of your life.
  15. It's not flawed because it's not an applicable comparison. There are mechanical differences between rooms and houses, such as the inability to garden, or train chocobos. The two are not, and will not be on equal enough footing for a comparison, until they are functionally identical.
  16. Players that pay for the game. SE made it possible to keep houses indefinitely. We complained, and said "NOPE CANNOT HAVE THIS," and SE changed things accordingly.
  17. Regardless of how one would treat their FC on an individual level, I believe they're talking about how it functions on a technical level. If there is no technical distinction as far as what is available to the player that owns the house in regards to Personal and FC housing, then they've merely made a factually correct statement.
  18. Huh, didn't even know free transfers were being offered. I wonder if they'll still be open in three days.
  19. Can-do! I'll throw an invite when I see you.
  20. That's why Vote To Kick was invented.
  21. Didn't Old Elf Wizard Guy summon the Twelve as Primals, only for them to get owned anyway?
